Orchidpaw's eyes narrowed, determined. While she didn't really care what her mentor thought of her, she really wanted to be a warrior. Like a flash, she leaped across from Dawncloud, landing silently. She waited a few seconds, hopefully enough to put her mentor on edge. Then suddenly she dodged to the side and rammed into her mentor's side, unbalancing her.

Vixennight grabbed a mouse from the prey pile and sat at the edge of camp, near a patch of damp moss. She wrinkled her nose but stayed put. This was the best spot to sit if she wanted to see the dusk. The sun slowly drifted its way down the big blue sky, staining it's color with deep purples and reds. It was beautiful.

Dawncloud
The she-cat thought she might heard a slight stir, but before she could process, she was knocked over and on her side. Dawncloud flicked her tail as she finally reopened her eyes. "There you go," she wheezed. Her breath had been knocked from her, but she continued to talk. She stood up on her tiny paws and shook out her pelt. "Be that quiet when you hunt and you won't scare away prey anymore. Be aware of what's around your paws and for StarClan's sake, keep your tail off the ground," she added. "We can go hunt now; I won't follow you around. I'm sure the clan would appreciate some freshkill." Dawncloud gave her apprentice a friendly nudge and padded off in the direction of some thicker woods. She would try to look for prey there.

Dawncloud crouched on some tree roots after she had gone a ways and pricked her ears for any scratching or scampering sounds. She was just about to leave when a sparrow flitted down from a tree and began to peck at the ground. The dappled she-cat crept forward on silent paws until she was close enough to the bird to pounce. With one swift motion, she launched off her back legs and landed on the sparrow, killing it quite cleanly. Happy with her kill, she dug a shallow hole among the roots and covered it up. She would retrieve it later once she had caught something else. She once again padded off in search of prey.

Duskbreeze - open!
The dark-furred tom crouched at the edge of camp, his icy eyes almost closed and his fluffy tail curled neatly around his paws. He flicked his ears in annoyance as an apprentice scampered by, chatting away at another warrior who was happily tolerating her. He huffed and adjusted his feet. StarClan, keep her after him and away from me. He flattened ears pricked up as a sudden *thud!* caught his attention. The apprentice was now on the ground, her legs sprawled and her tail flailing. The warrior she was walking with stared in shock at the apprentice before flicking her with his tail and purring in amusement, a playful glint in his eye. The warrior gave her a gentle thwack with one of his huge white paws and the apprentice got back to her feet. They continued padding along, the silvery warrior still snickering and the apprentice still embarrassed and purring back at him. Duskbreeze stared for a moment longer in disbelief. What kind of mousebrains did this clan raise?

Raingaze and Cricketpaw - both are open!
Raingaze got up from his resting spot and stretched with a big yawn. He shook out his fur and began padding toward the freshkill pile. He looked over his broad shoulders to see Cricketpaw bouncing up to him. "Hi, Raingaze!" the apprentice bubbled. "Can I eat with you?" Cricketpaw knew Raingaze was a warm-hearted, friendly cat who wasn't above sharing tongues with younger cats and she hadn't made too many friends with the other apprentices yet. He appeared to be going to eat alone anyhow. Raingaze blinked in amusement, happy to have someone to tag along. He happily nodded and continued to trot to the pile. He listened to Cricketpaw chatter on about her training and about stories she heard. He was glad her mind wasn't troubled with thoughts about the explosion. Cricketpaw was just about to ask Raingaze a question, but as she turned to him, she felt one of her legs tangle around the other and she soon found her nose in the dirt. Raingaze jumped slightly at the unexpected movement and sound of the apprentice hitting the ground, but once he realized what had happened, he began to chuckle. Cricketpaw writhed in confusion and embarrassment for only a second before she sprang up again. "Y-you okay there, Cricketpaw?" Raingaze meowed in between laughs, his whiskers twitching in delight. Cricketpaw purred back, "Mmhm!" He gave her a lighthearted swat and continued their way to the freshkill pile. Each retrieved an item and walked back to a cozy corner of camp where they would be out of the way. Raingaze tucked into his vole and Cricketpaw hungrily crunched on a fat mouse.

      TOBIAS
          ( 28 moons ) ( rogue ) ( where: bearclan's camp ) ( tags: nightwing) ( info )
tobias couldn't believe how easy it had been for him to infiltrate bearclan's camp. he hadn't been pressed about hostility or a fight from the get-go, but things had gone seamlessly anyway. the black she-cats──whom he had now learned were named softblaze and nightwing──had escorted him back to their camp as well as the injured "apprentice", named mousepaw.
indentthe first thing they'd done was take mousepaw straight to their healer of sorts, called by them a "medicine cat". tobias had figured that his presence would warrant a confrontation on the spot, but instead, he had ended up waiting idly for someone to talk to him. bearclan's leader, a tom named slatestar, had been patrolling, so he hadn't been present to question tobias right away. no, that came later, once the dark rogue had been seen by the medicine cat, brightnoise, for his scratches and ripped ear. similarly to what nightwing had done, she had chewed plant poultices together and slapped them onto his fur. they were sticky on his pelt, and smelled strongly, but after the initial stinging he found that it eased the dull pain. growing up on the streets, none of the cats there had had any knowledge of herbs like these, let alone access . . . his gang had prided themselves on their nasty wounds and scars, while these cats seemed to be a bunch of tree-huggers that wanted their injuries to heal just right. tobias had inwardly scoffed at the thought of trying to introduce his old group to these remedies, but overall, he was grateful that he'd been treated with no questions asked──like he was one of them, or something. the kindness was strange to him.

indentwhen slatestar returned, softblaze and nightwing had accompanied tobias to talk to the gray tabby, asking if it was all right if they could offer him shelter and prey. they'd made sure their leader fully understood that tobias had not been involved in mousepaw's injury, but rather, had been trying to help and gotten mistakenly attacked. slatestar seemed to be an empathetic tom, one to avoid conflict, so without too many questions he had permitted tobias permission to stay for however long he needed. the black tabby didn't mind at all; a roof over his head and some action, as well as prey he didn't have to catch, was always welcome. he didn't know how long he planned to stay, exactly, but tobias did love some good social interaction. working his way around or through conversations and confrontations came as easily to him as did breathing air. being quite the charismatic rogue, it wouldn't be a surprise if one or more of these bearclan mollies fell for his flirtatious ways and charms. my, wouldn't that spice up my life a little? the rogue thought with a small smirk to himself.
indenthis mind was drifting as he stared at the dusky skyline from the shelter of the cave. but he eventually brought himself back to the present when he remembered the large rabbit he'd selected from bearclan's pile of prey. he'd been sitting here in the shadows at the edge of the camp pretty much since he'd bid slatestar his thanks. no one had spoken him, and he'd been content to watch the bearclan warriors tirelessly work on the rubble that had been deposited near and within their camp. work still had to be done, but tobias couldn't be bothered to lift a single claw to help; he was a guest, and clearly he wasn't expected to do anything. he doubted these prideful cats would want him there anyway. no, they were satisfied with leaving the powerful tom alone. it gave him a slight ripple of gratification knowing that they were intimidated. he could see it in their wary gazes and narrowed eyes.

indenttobias' stomach rumbled, and he remembered that he hadn't had a bite to eat since that morning. as he put his massive paws on the rabbit and prepared to stuff his face, a flash of dark fur caught his attention, and he lifted his head to see nightwing close by, her eyes on the rubble. figuring she was the only cat that he really knew, and certainly the only one that was all-around okay with him staying here, he called out to the ebony molly: "psst, nightwing." a welcoming, if not mischievous, grin was on his face as he regarded her. something about his aura and expression always made him look like that . . . like he was plotting. and often, the handsome tabby was. he beckoned with his bushy tail for her to join him in the gathering darkness. "wanna share?" tobias' pale green gaze moved from the rabbit, and then back up to nightwing.

      SNOWFEATHER
          ( 35 moons ) ( bearclan warrior ) ( where: camp ) ( tags: vixennight ) ( info )
snowfeather had returned to camp with redcloud as soon as she'd heard the explosion. she had remained in bearclan's camp since, helping to clear the nearby rubble with the other warriors that weren't in poor shape. it was now dusk, and the vibrant colors of the sunset were fading as a crescent moon rose in the sky. the shadows in the cave and in the forest beyond lengthened; the mountains' nightly chill drifted into the cavern that the strong-willed clan had made their camp inside. the tang of smoke still clung to the air, a sharp reminder that this was certainly not the last time the two-legs would blast their territory, and, very nearly, their home. the scent was so overpowering it gave snowfeather a headache, and try as she might to remove the dark stains of ash from her bright pelt, she just couldn't keep her coat clean.

indentsnowfeather was seated just outside the warriors' den, licking her paws, which were sore from moving the fallen rocks and debris that had landed dangerously close to camp. as much as the ghostly white she-cat longed to get some poultice for her cracked pads, she knew that brightnoise had far more serious things to worry about. she thought about eveningkit, whose leg had been broken from a falling rock . . . and mousepaw, who would likely never see out of one of their eyes again. her mind then briefly flitted to the two new strangers that were currently staying with them──a formidable dark tabby named tobias (who, frankly, she did not want to approach) and a pretty, pregnant queen named timber. timber was with brightnoise now, she suspected, but tobias crouched in the shadows nearby the fresh-kill pile, having claimed a whole rabbit for himself. his pale eyes watched the bearclanners as if they were prey, and snowfeather shuddered.
indentall of the patrols that had been out had earlier today had returned . . . yet some of their clanmates had yet to return. forlornly, the snowy she-cat thought of dovemourn, frostpaw's mother, and how she would likely never be found. snowfeather considered herself lucky to have not hunted near the western mines today; and also, in this instance, she was glad she didn't have any surviving kin to mourn should something have happened to them. her parents, morningsky and mousebelly, had died moons ago from ripe old age . . . she couldn't imagine that they'd want to be around to see the demise of bearclan, anyway.

indentfiguring that she'd earned a bite to eat after today's tumultuous events and hard work, snowfeather limped across the cave to the fresh-kill pile, her belly rumbling as she licked her lips, looking over her options. her crystalline blue eyes settled on a plump vole and she snatched it up, then looking around for company. oh, how the pretty she-cat hated sitting alone. she spotted one of the clan's newest warriors, vixennight, off at the edge of camp, near a patch of moss that hung in the cavern. snowfeather, admittedly, didn't know the long-haired silver tabby too well, but she did enjoy becoming familiar with other felines, as well as watching the sun go down, which is what the other molly seemed to be doing. she trotted across the cave and stood above vixennight, politely putting her vole down so she could speak. pleasantly, and with a faint smile, snowfeather mewed, "good evening. would you mind if i joined you?"

Vixennight swiveled her head to see the cat that had sat beside her. It was a very pretty white she-cat who she believed was named Snowfeather. She gazed at the cat. A cat with such pure white pelt and such a peaceful name surely couldn't have anything to hide. "Yes, of course. Snowfeather, isn't it?" The white cat had never shared a den with Vixennight so she didn't know much about the cat. Vixennight smiled at the she-cat and took a small bite of the vole.
She observed the camp slowly as she chewed on the meat. The medicine den was dreadfully crowded, filled with warriors who were newly lame or perhaps just injured. Poor souls, she couldn't imagine never hunting again, never feeling the thrill of a battle. Those things are what make you a warrior. Without them, it would be so hard to carry on daily life.
Her thoughts drifted back to the snowy white she-cat sitting beside her. Such a cat seemed like a queen; the way she held herself seemed like she was making room for her kits, or perhaps just waiting for her kits to run out of the nursery, begging for milk and mewling. Perhaps she should ask her if she had kits. But as Vixennight breathed in, she caught no scent of milk. Strange. Maybe this cat was just made to be a queen but has never found that part of her.

Orchidpaw slunk away from camp, glad to be freed from training. She'd much rather hunt alone than with other cats. She lifted her strikingly pink nose into the air. A breeze brought scents of doves and a shrew. The shrew was closer so she dropped into a hunting stance. She remembered Dawncloud's words and prowled nearly silently after the small animal. She leaped onto it's back, trapping it in her paws. She bit it quickly and it went limp.

    Timber
    ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
    Molly || 21 moons || Outsider || Pregnant
Location: near western mines || Tags: Faircrown & Brightnoise

She had followed after the small group of cats warily, thankful that they hadn’t let Faircrown waltz off on his own. They had made it to camp without much trouble really, though with as many unfamiliar muzzles that wondered among her– she couldn’t help but have the want to run off with her tail tucked between her legs like a canine. But she didn’t, instead she followed after the cat that was most familiar– Faircrown. Timber was patient as the medicine cat examined her for injuries, luckily there wasn’t anything too bad, nothing that wouldn’t heal on its own. Though she seemed to flinch every time the tabby she-cat raised her paw near her, and the pregnant molly huffed apologetically about her actions.
She’d been in the camp for a while now, and Brightnoise has finally treated all the cats that needed to be treated. She seemed exhausted, even a little bit of a mess due to all the things she’s had to do in a short amount of time. Timber flicked her tail as she looked towards the medicine cat, “...You need to rest,” Timber finally said, her voice was soft as she spoke, “Everyone’s taken care of for now,” She reassured the cat. Even Timber was exhausted, but probably not as stressed as the tabby molly, she flattened her ears ever-so-slightly with small smile.
Timber jumped slightly as the ginger tom stirred near her, she turned her gaze to him curiously. He was asking about the patrol he had wanted to set out to look for when they had first met. She didn’t know these cats, so she wouldn’t be able to tell wether they did or not unfortunately. She huffed softly as she looked around the camp, everyone was either resting now or chatting among themselves. No one seemed to be in a panic about anyone missing, so hopefully they had returned to camp. The tom cat didn’t need anymore stress on his shoulders, especially after all the injuries he had already endured. Her jaw parted in a yawn as she looked around, observing.

    Softblaze
    ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
    Molly || 22 moons || Warrior
Location: near bearclan territory || Tags: Nighwing, Tobias, Mousepaw — none after timeksip [open]

Then black molly finally turned her attention towards Mousepaw and Nightwing after the brief tussle between herself and the rogue. Though upon hearing Nightwing’s statement about bringing the cat back to camp, she threw the ebony she-cat a glare. Nightwing wanted to bring this tom to camp? Where there were many injured cats? They were weak right now. This rogue is a complete stranger, and he could be dangerous. A cat has scars for a reason.
She huffed with displeasure as she allowed Nighwing and Mousepaw to lead the cat away, Softblaze decided to hang back, taking up the rear– behind the tom. But she seemed to hang pretty far behind, her strides weren’t as quick as the others as she got distracted by her thoughts. Despite watching where she was going, her gaze seemed far off.
    after the time skip!
After following Nightwing, Mousepaw, and Tobias to give their explanation to their leader, the fanged feline padded over to a rock that sat in the sun. Softblaze leapt onto the flat stone, and laid down to bask in its warmth. Though despite being relaxed now, she couldn’t help but give uneasy glances around the camp, the two-leg destruction had injuried so many of the cats that resides within the protection of the clan. She flattened her ears against her skull and laid her head on her paws, her thoughts seemed to be troubling her. But she wouldn’t speak of them, Softblaze wasn’t ever a cat to explain how she felt to a cat. With a sigh she drew her sand-paper like tongue over her fangs.

Postby Captain. A. Stark. » Tue Apr 28, 2020 6:35 am

nightwing.
[ location; bearclan border ] [ tags; tobias ] [ the stars are my friends. ]
xxxthe return to camp was quite.. long, and possibly one of the more difficult trips home with a heavily injured apprentice, an innocent rogue that she had begun to trust, and softblaze's disapproving glances towards the notions of her decision weren't helping her aching bones. they had definitely been out for a while now. the air had cooled with the hint that nightfall was on the way, the buzzing of various insects that would've scared the jeepers out of her as a mousebrained kit filling her ears. any other day, she would've made some kind of excuse from a patrol to spare a few minutes of her expense out in the quiet but stiffing weather of the darkness. she loved to run among the stars alone, wind rushing through her sleek ebony fur as her long limbs would stretch in retaliation to the hard ground she was travelling along. often, she ran farther than slatestar would've permitted. just to escape once in a while - of course, her heart and mind solely were loyal and belonged to the functionality and code of her clan and fellow warrior code, but just.. she needed to get away at times, perhaps to talk to her father in the presence of the non-judgmental moon, or just sit with the flowers and listen to the running stream. it was quite exquisite, and beautiful. once it was experienced once, there was no escape to it. it was like an addiction, it just needed to be done to maintain your health and sanity every once in a while. slatestar, as she had predicted, was kind to the stranger that she had learned went by the name of 'tobias.' it rolled off of her tongue in a smooth way, it was unique to the nature themed names most of her clanmates went by. the female had ended up hanging out near the medicine den for a little while, not quite speaking to brightnoise as the medicine cat performed her duties upon the young cat - she really had nothing to say. it was easy to think that it wasn't her fault that he was here now, and it wasn't, but it was hard to think otherwise to be frank. what if she had stopped dawdling, and had gotten there a little bit earlier? her guard had been let down, she wasn't prepared to track a violation or defend herself against harm. you could say she had strayed a little from her personal code. with a disappointed sigh towards herself, she provided a weary nod towards the other working molly in the room, unaware if she had even acknowledged it before exiting the den. she was just tired and hungry.. some food in her growling belly and some sleep would help her raise her spirits a little. wandering towards the fresh kill prey, feeling a little bit out of her head and dizzy, to be honest. she didn't know what was wrong with her, but she wasn't going to bother the medicine cats. both of them had enough on their paws as it was without her having to be a nuisance. maybe a meal was wise to skip, just until she felt settled down enough. the ember coated molly felt her paws carry her away from the scent of food, although her mouth watered for her teeth to sink into a delicious vole. sniffling slightly, she wasn't quite sure what to do now. it was still too early to retire to the warrior's den, but it was too late and too exhausting to leave camp alone. as she got lost within her simple dilemma, her emerald orbs trained on a pile of rubble in the corner. when did that get there? her train of.. useless thinking was interrupted by the slight noise of hushed hissing, she could detect her name within the tone of whom she recognized as tobias. angling her black head to meet his oceanic gaze, she quirked her ears towards his meows. he wanted her to join him? she was a little shocked - she would've expected him to be a little druggy towards her for pulling him out of his schedule and away from his home. but that rabbit looked good.. although she had told herself she wasn't going to eat, she wasn't one to refuse prey when it was offered to her, and the chance at making acquaintances with a cat were never far off from her idea of relaxing. he looked like he had a few interesting stories to tell, so why the hell not? with a small nod, she approached, settling besides him and taking a moment to sniff the air. night was ever present, seeping through the evening like a wildfire."thanks for offering to share, that rabbit looks really good," she huffed with a grateful smile of sorts, cocking her head slightly to stretch a few cramped muscles. "so how are you finding camp so far? it must be different from where you usually stay.." she hummed, assuming that he didn't have a clan, or any group of orderly fashion. it seemed right to question that, especially since he hadn't made any references of having to return to anyone's presence. she understood how it felt to be alone, she had always been surrounded by kits, cats, and elders but never had she taken a greater sympathy and trust to someone as something greater than a clanmate, in other words - she had no friends that understood her, she felt. although there was frostpaw, who had seemed to take an interest in her shenanigans, he would probably be a good cat to have by her side if she would ever go talk to him, that was.

Dawncloud
As Dawncloud padded along, she kept her ears pricked. A rustle of leaves soon caught her attention. The dappled she-cat quickly lowered herself into a hunting position. She waited until she was in striking distance before she pounced on the rodent and nipped the back of its neck. She scanned the area around her searching for any signs of more prey and then scampered off to place it with her sparrow. She managed to catch a squirrel before calling it quits. It was getting dark and they should probably return soon. Dawncloud dug up her freshkill and carried it back to the spot where she and Orchidpaw split up. She sat down and waited patiently for her apprentice. She nonchalantly groomed one of her dainty paws as she sat.

      TOBIAS
          ( 28 moons ) ( rogue ) ( where: bearclan's camp ) ( tags: nightwing) ( info )
the ebony she-cat seemed a bit stunned by his offer to join him. it was as if she hadn't noticed him in the darkness in the first place, much less expected him to offer her a bite to eat. she seemed to mull over the situation, but eventually she gave him a meek nod, and then joined him. her nose twitched, and she was close enough that they could share some warmth as the last remaining light of dusk faded, and a mountainous chill took its place. her eyes went to the rabbit, and she mewed, "thanks for offering to share, that rabbit looks really good."
indenttobias blinked down at her, returning her small grin with one of his own. she reminded him of a rabbit, in a way, from what he had gathered of her personality already──restless and anxious. strangely, the notion filled him with the slightest of desires to keep her safe. if she was a rabbit, then he certainly was the wolf between the two of them. she dragged the rogue away from his calculative thoughts when she mewed, "so how are you finding camp so far? it must be different from where you usually stay . . ." she trailed off, not meeting his gaze. instead, her green eyes flickered to the deep violet night sky, now pin-pricked with glittering stars.

indentshe had to know that he wasn't a simple clan cat. a cat so rugged as he surely looked couldn't possibly know a life like hers. tobias couldn't help but take a bite of the rabbit before responding, placing a massive paw on it and ripping off a chunk of flesh. gulping it down, he swept his tongue over his lips and nose, then meowed, his pale green eyes resting steadily on nightwing's face, "i don't mind it here. food i don't have to catch for myself and a place to stay make it even better, obviously. and you're right, it is very different." he gestured to the distant trees, towards where she and her clanmate had found him. "i live beyond the border. i've been here for a while but i never like to stay in one place too long. i've hung around because you clan cats . . ." he paused, eyes narrowing down at her. "interest me, to say the least." that being said, he took another hearty bite of the rabbit. the rogue then pushed it across the camp floor until it rested before the molly, nodding his dark-striped head towards it in invitation.

      SNOWFEATHER
          ( 35 moons ) ( bearclan warrior ) ( where: camp ) ( tags: vixennight ) ( info )
the white warrior immediately noticed that vixennight was regarding her a bit strangely. her nostrils flared and twitched, as if she was trying to pick up a scent from snowfeather. sheesh, i know i don't talk to her much, but she's acting as if we haven't shared a den for moons! snowfeather thought, twitching an ear. perhaps she was getting the wrong idea, though.
indentit wasn't unusual for her motherly traits and love for kits to carry over into everything she did, including how she behaved around others. she often caught herself accidentally acting the same way she would in the presence of younger cats. snowfeather pushed her thoughts on the interaction aside when the silver tabby mewed warmly, "yes, of course. snowfeather, isn't it?" she smiled welcomingly, and took the first bite of the fatty vole. snowfeather purred, settling down on her belly beside the younger warrior, her long white pelt fanning out slightly across the stony camp floor. "yes, you're correct." she bent her silky head, still pretty despite the ash stains that clung to her fur, and took her own bite of the vole.

indentthe flavor exploded in her mouth and she had to resist the urge to pounce on the vole and eat more. the blood and thick meat filled her body with a new sense of energy, after such a hard day of work and stress. calming herself, and knowing it was rude to gluttonously stuff her face in front of others, snowfeather pushed the vole back in vixennight's direction, mewing after she'd finished chewing, "how are you, with all this?" she cast her bright blue gaze around the camp──flitting over the battered warriors, and the rubble outside the cavern they'd managed to move. "i can't believe how close the two-legs are getting to us now." she shuddered slightly, and not because of the cold that enveloped the camp as the sky darkened. her eyes rested on the dim skyline for a moment before turning back to the tabby at her side, awaiting an answer.

Shadepaw was half asleep, having eaten she'd decided taking a rest could help rid her of some of the day's stress. She was curled in a grey ball, fluffy tail covering her muzzle. Her eyes were glinting slits gazing out at the clan. Their camp was still in shambles, and Shadepaw wasn't 100 percent sure the apprentice den was actually safe anymore, but after hunting, she, along with some of her fellow apprentices, had managed to clean out and attempt to stabilize it. So at least she wasn't sleeping in rubble. Luckily, she'd remembered the moss she'd collected with Falconstream and gone back out to get it, so she was in fact quite comfortable. She was, as usual, positioned close to the entrance of their den, so she could keep an eye on the Clan.

( tom ) ( 31 moons ) ( warrior ) ( #Newtcloud, Eveningkit ) ( territory )

After returning from hunting - with a catch, if small, it was still prey - the tom had taken one of the shrews to share with Newtcloud. He was very relieved to relax, he had to admit his hind leg was aching more than it had before he'd gone out. It'll be fine tomorrow, he thought, after finishing the prey. His jaws split in a yawn, and he curled up next to his mate, checking on Eveningkit before shutting his eyes. He was happy the kit was on the mend, Brightnoise was a great medicine cat and BearClan was very lucky to have both her and her apprentice. All the same, Cedarspark was nervous about him. There was no guarantee something like today's disaster couldn't repeat itself, and who knows who would be injured that time?

Bunnypaw moved towards her mentor, ears drooping sleepily. "Are we done?" she asked Brightnoise, eyes flickering around the semi-organized camp. "Did we use up all our herbs? I can go see if I can find any more. There might be some burdock I can dig up somewhere, in case someone's wound gets infected," she offered, tail twitching. "I don't mind." She was happy to help out, and determined to do as much as she can before she slept. Sure, she was dreary, but not exhausted. This was a disaster, and Bunnypaw wanted to do her very best to make everything right again. Maybe, if everyone worked really hard, they could go back to normality within the next moon. That was all she wanted, her calm, peaceful Clan life again.[/color]

Jackdawpounce had waited for other cats to be treated, they were pleased to note they had no major wounds, just a few bruises and a scratch across one flank. The only thing they were worried about was the peculiar lack of hearing they now had. But now that the other cats were settling down, they approached Brightnoise. Bunnypaw seemed to be just finishing talking with her mentor, from what they could gather. Hopefully it wasn't anything to worry about. "U-um, excuse me?" they stumbled over the words, still uncertain about talking. "I kinda.. I have a problem." They looked hopefully at Brightnoise- they had complete faith that the medicine cat would be able to fix whatever was causing this ailment. "All the noise has gone, ever since the mountain collapsed."

Ratscar hadn’t been injured, besides a few scrapes that had no chance of infection, so he settled on ordering worried cats to stay calm. He observed everything quietly, and, though he didn’t show it, he was in deep set fear. Not just for all cats in the clan, but especially Jackdawpounce. He knew they were unable to hear, which could be a severe issue. He licked his paws, trying to distract himself from the guilt he felt. It was his fault that Jackdawpounce and Willowpaw were injured. If he’d just stayed with his apprentice instead of gallivanting off... he needed to stop thinking. He took a breath and tried to look like his calm and collected self.
