indent he shook his head slightly, tail dropping in embarrassment "uh...ive hunted a few mice here and there, but they were often poorly or slow, and my owners often told me of if I did so." he glanced up at her "but I have seen some of the dogs without homes or owners hunt, so I sort of know what I need to do. it cant be that hard right?" to show he knew what he had to do, he crouched into a hunting position, though his hunches were a bit to high "like this?"

Honeyrose gently took her paw and lowered his haunches a bit. "Close, it'll work for now if you join a pack we'll teach you the best way to hunt for our specific pack, but this is a good starting place." She pretended like she was training a new apprentice. Charliepaw. She laughed to herself. That'd be a really funny name. She saw Charlie(paw) tilt his head at her so she quickly continued her tutorial. "Uh, ok, now do you smell anything near us?" She could clearly point out a mouse and a shrew. The mouse would be harder to catch but the shrew would be slow and probably too easy for him to catch.

indent he felt her lower his haunted and tried to remember this position. he listened to her intently, not really daring to move incase he messed something up. his face an expression of concentration, he sniffed the air when she asked him what he could smell "um....." he sniffed again "a mouse? and um....something I havent smelt before? ive only ever smelt mouse, chicken, and squirrel, and whatever prey my owners eat" he said with eyes closed trying his best to figure out what it was.

"Good. I would go for the mouse since you have experience with them. The other smell is a shrew. Why don't you try and catch it and then I can critique you."
She hoped she wasn't being too bossy. Maybe she was treating him too much like an apprentice. He couldn't be much older than her, and she really didn't want to boss him around. Then again, he was a doggiepet and, as she'd been taught, doggiepets were pretty helpless. He doesn't seem too helpless, she thought as she watched him stalk over to the mouse. Maybe he has the capability to join a pack. Something in her wished he would join Riverpack, but she pushed it away. He could join whatever pack he wanted.

The sight of the moonpool had her captivated, dogs and wolf dogs of the past and the pool was so reflective that she was sure the other dogs could see her but they never did. She woke up with renewed vigor to learn more about the packs. She looked towards the the borders of riverpack and windpack and zoomed off.

He was getting a drink by the river reflecting on the dream he had and why he left Shadowpack. He was glad he did, as they are ruthless and cruel.

Back on Thunderpack's borders lay a wolfdog and a mix. They had a harrowing encounter with Shadowpack and were now sleeping in the roots of a tree. Firelight had a pretty bad gash on her side not to mention a couple of scratches and Mischief wasn't much better.

indent he glanced up at her briefly when she mentioned the other scent was a shrew and mentally noted the smell. when she told him to try and hunt the mouse he kept his hunches in the position she had put them in and sniffed the air trying to pin point the mouse again. once he had pin pointed it he quietly turned and headed towards it, stepping lightly on the leaves around him so as not to make a noise. eventually he saw the familiar brownish pelt of the mice in the area and his mouth watered a little. he was so close! one step, two step, crunch! he froze, as the mouse glanced up at him and then hurried away. "idiot" he mumbled "I didnt see the twig" his tail dropped as did his ears.

The dog nodded, "Rabbit is very good, I bet you'll like it" he insisted to the smaller canine, before getting up to his paws. He stretched, the chain around his neck rattling with his movement, before he looked down at Shade. "C'mon then, we better hunt it down before it wanders into one of the packs territories" he added, beginning to trot to the bushes where he last saw it. Though-he didn't expect to find someone there.

His ears folded back, stumbling upon the stranger, his eyes narrowed-and he tensed. "I didn't know we had a watcher" the canine retorted, glancing down at the other. "Who may you be?" he asked-rather rudely, with a tuft.

Honeyrose frowned. "It's ok. Maybe..." She lifted her nose. The shrew was still there. "Do you want to go after the shrew now? If not then maybe I can teach you fighting." Honeyrose's heart fluttered. She was dreadful at fighting. How would she even start trying to teach someone to fight? She breathed in deep. Her tail swayed and she plastered a smile on her muzzle. See? She could be calm and happy, even around a doggiepet.

indent he looked at her and then back in the direction of the shrew he could smell and he sighed quietly "if i couldn't catch a mouse, i doubt i can catch something i have never seen nor smelt before." his tail dropped and he sat up again, "i so desperately want to join a clan....my owners...they are away often so they would not notice my disappearance until it is to late. would...would your clan train me? if, say, i was to join...if well, if i was accepted in the first place?"
