I'm pretty awful at store pet values, so I just want to check back - under the assumption that the dogs will turn out rare and not vr, would these be enough for the rat?
Demand isn't a factor - both of us like and actively want these pets, looking purely for rarity/age based advice.

In my opinion the Event Rat would worth 2x Space event rares, while each of your Store pets is trading for a 2010 Rare

Seconded. You are massively overpaying. The Jury on the 2020 store pets is not out yet whether they are worth a 2010 or 2011 rare, but either way, their side is only worth a 2015 rare while even just one of your dogs is worth at least a 2011 rare.

though i'd argue that there are trades in which the 2016 VR rat goes for a 2012 rare and another for 25C$, and even one in which it goes for a zodiac. i think they're indeed overpaying, but i disagree that the rat goes for a 2015 rare proof

They explicitly asked to not factor in demand. The 2016 VR is only worth that much with demand.

Technically it's slightly overpay on their side because it's a bigger difference than 3 month between your pets. As far as I know, none of these pets have special demand so it's up to you which one you like better

the zebra trades for 1-1.5 nons, and one non usually gets around 100 '09 rares so they are underpaying a lot.

the 2016 space robot rat was VR since release, so trading it for one 2015 rare is not really a good deal, especially factoring rarity, since it's been very rare since release.

yep that is incredibly unfair to you
the zebra goes for 1-1.5 nons
1 non goes for roughly 100 09 rares or 10-12 mid advents or 2 sorbs
2008 VR = 2 09 rares + a 2010 rare but some people value them at 4 09 rares
their side would be 5.5-8.5 09 rates
so they'd need to add quite a lot

Thanks to every one of you! I don't see the rat discussed very often in trades as it's not terribly popular, it sure does seem to land all over the place^^ It was a very wanted pet for me, though, so I'll happily measure myself against the higher end of the values.
(The main reason I didn't want demand to be factored in is because I know it would drag down the rat, especially compared to what's shaping up to be a very popular dog set.)
For what it's worth, my trading partner also considered it overpay and added extra pets to their side; we made some of the dogs litter swaps instead.
