Kashmir Stables

Akiya finished packing the supplies she would need over the next couple of days but she didn't call Nariha and Kahula back. She grabbed a pack that she keep on the far side of the room and slung it over her shoulder. She had to go see someone. Opening the bag, she made sure that it had everything she would need. A horse brush, a hoof pick, a bottle even though Akiya didn't think she'd need it, and some treats consisting of those dog treats that look like bacon. She stepped out of the house and hurried across the clearing, she had to be careful.
After a while of traipsing through the woods, Akiya came to a clearing that had waist high grass in it. It was here that her charge was located. Akiya clicked her tongue, watching the grass for movement.

A small horse-like creature, with dragon claws on its front paws and a dragon's tail, stealthily made its way toward the unsuspecting human. It was careful not to make any noise or at least it thought it was. It closed the distance as quickly and silently as possible. It waited for just the right moment and attacked.

Akiya squealed with delight as the little creature jumped from the undergrowth. She caught the creature and went tumbling into the grass with it. The little creature scrambled back to its feet and made a noise something like a whinny mixed with a purr. Akiya sat up and held out her hand, "Hello Atalanta, I see your in a good mood." The little dragon-horse creature sidled up to Akiya's hand and while Akiya pet her began to sniff at Akiya's pack.
Akiya laughed and swung the pack off her shoulder and produced the bacon treats. Atalanta laid down beside Akiya and happily ate the bacon treats as Akiya handed them to her. After the treats had disappeared, Akiya took out the brush and proceeded to brush the small horse. The horse made the odd noise again as she enjoyed the brushing. Akiya smiled and put the brush away and took out the pick. She gently pushed the horse onto her side and cleaned the horses back hooves. Akiya checked the front paws for broken claws but everything was in place there.

Atalanta pushed herself to her feet and bumped her head against Akiya, sending pleasure and love to the human. She blew into Akiya's head and than took off into the clearing, quickly disappearing into the grass.

on his pacific nature to his offspring, as well as his flashy colours.

Gaia is a tender and gentle mare who is famed for having a compassionate and easy going disposition. She is very friendly and loves people, but has a tendancy to not be all too compatible with most stallions. She's fine with mares, but once a colt gets loose she runs to hide.
She loves flowers and being outside. Her favouroite place to be is the meadows by the barn
where many forest creastures tend to burrow. She enjoys chatting with the other forest animals, and they just seem to adore her.

It is unknown as to why she doesn't get along with too many males...but whatever the reason may be it's pretty obvious that she's not trying to overcome her fears.

Argos Stables

Heath finally slowed her canter down to a walk. Not because she was at all tired, but because she was lost. Oh, she was sure she could find her way back, but she wasn't in any hurry to be back in Argos again. She came to a small river and drank. Then, having no better plan, Heath began to follow it upstream, watching for a sign of anything new.


Celestrial froze, watching Gwen. Did she see me fail to see anything? wondered Celestrial. Her thoughts took on the tone of a petulant child- Heath gets visions. She doesn't even care. Her hoof struck the ground in frustration. Then remembering Gwen, she looked up.
Gwen walked over to where Celestrial stood. "'Sup Lassie? I was looking for Heath... I had to walk back from Torves myself." She gestured towards her stiff, salt-coated pants. "Took me most of the day too. Any idea where she went? I was going to bother her about it" Gwen grinned, her pretty face turn mischivous with the sneaky grin on her face.
Celestrial wasn't in any mood to hear about Heath, the stupid-pond-vision seeing... Heath realized she was getting upset. She decided the anger wasn't helping her any and she just let it go. Her posture relaxed, her head lifted, and in a moment she was the composed horse she usually was. To herself she though "I need to get out of the glade for awhile. This pond is going to drive me crazy" To Gwen she said "I haven't seen her today. She came by yesterday to talk to me about the pond..." unconciously her eyes drifted towards the pool of water. Looking back at Gwen she finished with "But I'm sure she's around here somewhere."
A crease appeared over Gwens eyes. She had to admit she wasn't at all worried for Heath. As a mix of both plains and unicorn, she was as fast as the plains horses, and as magical as the unicorns. But she was suprised Heath hadn't told her before wandering. Maybe she was serious when she said in was like a convent around here. Gwen decided if Heath wasn't back by tomorrow she would take Celestrial and go looking for her. Celestrials been spending too much time here anyway.

Spawn {Human/Male};;
Spawn smiled as he swung himself onto Pierces back, gripping his luxurious mane tightly
inbetween his fingers. For a moment he simply secured himself properly as the stallion walked
slightly forward. Dante was more than used to riding bareback, but, he all ways put safety first.

Pierce {Mythic/Male};;
Pierce snorted and pawed, shifting his head and nickering as Dante mounted.
Pricking his ears he glanced back at his master, wondering when he could start moving.
His muscles rippled under his sleek pelt and his markings glowed in the sun, his palomino
coat contrasting beautifully with the spring landscape surrounding him.

Asteroid {Horse/Male};;
Asteroid smiled and nickered, shaking his thick, muscular neck
as he galloped across his paddock, nostrils flailed and ears pricked as he watched the mares.

Silverwing {Mythic/Female};;
Silverwing flicked her silky tail, her eyes shining brightly as she gazed in the stallions direction.
With a sigh the mare lowered her delicate head, tearing grass from the meadow floor as she grazed,
snorting softly.

Tyra {Mythic/Female};;
Tyra sprinted across the meadow, her beautiful and poised frame treading lightly across the grasses as she
ran, her mane whipping and flowing in the wind.

Gaia {Horse/Female};;
Gaia rolled her eyes at Asteroid's display. She was impressed, granted, but she never appreciated a cocky
stallion really.

Kashmir

Akiya watched the foal go. She smiled, that little horse was Ramses' latest baby and a very unusual one at that. Ramses had told her that the species was called Pentacorn and was apparently sometimes produced when a Glade Unicorn bred with a Kudarung. It was weird that two herbivores produced a predatory offspring, but weird things happened all the time here on the isles. Akiya loved the little foal even though she made other horses uncomfortable, Akiya didn't really understand that either. Atalanta wasn't going to get big enough to make prey of a full grown horse. Akiya stood and slung the pack back over her shoulder and walked back to her house. She wasn't sure where Atalanta disappeared to after their meetings but she assumed Atalanta returned to her mother. As she entered her house, she realized she was quite tired and dropped the pack by the door. She flopped down on the bed pads that acted as her bed when she was home and was quickly asleep.

Nariha and Kahula headed in the direction of Kushistan, they had heard of another stable over in that direction though they had never been. Nariha set the pace and her pace steadily ate up the ground between Kashmir and Kushistan.

Kahula paced beside her mother, wondering why she was even going. She didn't like meeting new horses but she knew her mother wanted her to make friends or even find a mate. Kahula rolled her eyes, she had no need of either of these things.

Atalanta watched Akiya leave the clearing and quietly followed her. Her mother had abandoned her, as mothers sometimes do. Her mother couldn't have taught her anything useful anyways. Atalanta much preferred her father and even if he couldn't teach her how to fend for herself. Atalanta didn't really need anyone to teach her how to hunt but she still wanted company and Akiya was fascinating. Atalanta waited under the trees at the edge of the clearing that was the Kashmir Stables.

Ramses pranced with excitement, finally a new female to showoff too. He wondered if Kahula would be jealous, probably not. She didn't like him. "Its not too far," Ramses said as he started off in the direction of Kashmir. "It'd be faster if you could fly but see as you can't and I can't help you fly, we'll walk. Its not to far and as soon as we cross into Kashmir, I know of several game trails that will get us there faster. Maybe my bonded with even be there." Ramses enjoyed showing off his bonded as much as he like showing off himself. Not all horses had bonded and even though Havilah did, it was still impressive for a horse to have a bonded human.

(Nariha and Kahula are on their way over, so they could talk to someone.)

Nariha and Kahula arrived inside the borders of Kushistan. Nariha lead the way toward where she had heard the stables where located. Kushistan was much more open than Kashmir and Nariha felt vaguely uncomfortable in the open. She continued anyways not giving any outward signs of discomfort because she knew if she did, Kahula would bolt. Nariha didn't understand how she could have given birth to such a flighty daughter.

Kahula followed her mother, her nerves strung high. She really didn't want to be here, she would prefer to be back in the forest with Akiya. Akiya never made her do things that she was uncomfortable with but Mother was always trying to widen her aspects. Kahula sighed as they came within sight of the stables, well there was really a way to politely turn back now.
