Story
Rose looked over the clearing with observing eyes. They laid inside of Clouds den. Dusk had brought them moss, wool, and other soft materials, the young Squire could find, almost every day. Rose was almost amused at how much she cared. She probably wanted to return to her training.

They looked over to the small brown and white dog, sitting next to another golden-white and curly Squire. Breeze was younger but already bigger then Dusk. They wagged happy with their tail and their mouth was open a gape, so their tongue hung out lightly. Rose could understand why Rain got to mentor them.

Creek was upset for not getting an apprentice to train but looking at Breeze it was probably the best. Rose averted her eyes to look at him. He sat in front of Emperor's den with Shred. Everyone else in a half-circle around them, at the front the Samurai, with Cloud, behind them the Mothers (and fathers) and then the Squires. Rose got excused by Cloud, she didn’t think it was good for her to sit with the others for longer than some moments. Shred lectured them often about how to sit properly in pack-order.
He didn’t took the rules so harsh yet, till everyone got adjusted to them, but he slowly got impatient. He had to scold Dusk often and Rose wondered how long it would take, till she would become a Servant for the first time. She already had to eat at last for 3 days this moon alone.

Rose laid her head down. The ceremony already went on for quite a while. Creek had been made Shogun, even with the patrol he lead, getting into a fight. It wasn’t his fault. Rose sighed feeling how she already got tired again.

Summer has been continuing with her secret meetings with Leicester. She stealthily sneaks off occasionally and no one from the kennel has caught her yet. Since Leicester is guarded at all times by one of the Guardians, it was sometimes very difficult to speak with her.
This meeting was like any other. Summer first claimed that she was going to walk to the river to take a drink. She left camp and made a large, wide circle back to the place Leicester was being kept. Kalsang was on duty today. Good, that brute is as dumb as a stick and his thick orange coat can't pick up our whispers. Summer thought. She silently stalked toward the grove of trees Leicester was kept. As usual, Summer presented her food, half a squirrel this time.
Leicester crawled towards the offering, eyeing Kalsang the whole time. She quickly ate and smacked her lips in satisfaction. "I am getting tired of eating scraps Summer."
Summer pinned her ears back. "I'm sorry, this is what I was offered this month. I'll try to hunt for you later. Is there any news of when the attack from your kennel will take place?"
"Yes, I have been getting updates more frequently. The preparations are all set. My kennel should start moving here any day. They'll be here within half a moon. Then they will stalk your kennel until they finally attack. I expect in one moon's time they will initiate the attack."
"They need to be careful. Niko's patrol tried to attack your last messenger. Luckily they escaped."
Leicester laughed. "Don't be ridiculous. Any dog from my kennel can outrun and outlast your patrols. Nyx was just playing with your kennel. Now update me on your kennel. Have the pups left their mother's teats yet?"
"Yes, we now have five trainees. The last two pups should be whelping this moon. Niko, one of the commanders of the Guardians, has been walking with a limp on his right leg. I suspect it is from the boar fight they had a few moons ago. It seems like Aurora begged the ancestors for a mate for Garland. A new, strong german shepherd female came to the kennel this moon. She compliments Garland perfectly. I can tell they will be a powerful couple. One of the Guardians, Willow, is expecting pups soon. I don't know what you want to do with her."
Leicester nodded at this news. "I expect there will be a lot of bloodshed coming up soon. The pups are of no use to the Rose Grass kennel. Garland will be harder to take down now that he has a plaything protecting him. But Niko, will be easy to defeat. If that pup-mother Willow is smart she will flee with her unborn pups. If not, then I don't expect a future for her. Now as part of our deal, you will be spared. Don't try to fight us or you will be breaking our agreement and will be killed. Run away and find a new territory. I don't expect any other survivors."
"Wait, me and Granite will be spared. That was our deal. And you can't kill everyone in my kennel. You said that your kennel will kill Garland and the other Commanders and take the trainees. There might be some other casualties but for the most part you are only going to take our food, herbs, and trainees. And after you leave I will become the alpha of this kennel."
"Summer, I don't expect my mate to be very pleased with the condition I am in. And the Rose Grass kennel didn't get their reputation for nothing. How will it look to the other kennels if we let you off easy? They might suspect something or not fear us as much. We can't let that happen. If you really want to save some of your kennelmates from slaughter, then I suggest you take whoever you want and leave before the attack. I think we are done here. You can leave now."
Summer was dumbfounded. This kennel was really going to wipe hers out of existence. She had to go warn Granite and leave before it's too late.

Story
Dust watched Breeze. The white-golden dog sat in front of the nursery, wagging their tail and trying to catch a glimpse of the puppy’s. They were ware born almost half a moon ago, so their squirming and small noises could be heard more often than not. Slowly Dusk walked over to Breeze and nudged him gently in the side. “You should probably stop, or Apple will think you want to still his Pups” She joked and flashed them an amused glance.
Breeze huffed playfully and looked down to meet Dusk's eyes. “Who knows maybe I want to steal them.” Dusk shoved them and stood up. “Come on you can look at them when their older,” She started to walk to her and Breezes den before continuing. “Why don’t you tell me what you learned from Rain?” The younger dog jumped up from their place and ran up to her. “It was amazing!” Breeze started to talk about all the things and little tricks they learned from the shepherd dog. Breeze was pretty similar to Rain. Both could talk seemingly without needing air, they were hyper and couldn’t sit still, but what caught Dusk's attention was how different their hunting training was.
Breeze said over and over again how they had to obey, to be a good hunter. While Rose also told her, she had to listen to the lead-hunter, she didn’t try to in-force it so much and made her listen more on her instinct than on someone else, even went as far as to give Dusk the control sometimes. Rain tried to make Breeze an obedient dog, so was Rose trying to make Dusk to a lead-dog?
Dusk shook the thought away as fast as it came. There was no reason for Rose to do that, but still, Dusks looked at the Samurai-den. Since this moon, Rose rested there again. As weird as the training with Rose was she couldn’t wait to start it again
