Raveneyes ears perked in alarm and he sat up, fur bristling as he heard his mothers yowls. Seeing that his brother was already racing out of camp, he bounded after him, changing into a raven in order to get there faster through flight. As he transformed back into a cat, his eyes grew wide at the sight. He was speechless, seeing his father lying on the ground, dead. His heart sank like a rock in his chest and he quickly padded over to Cottonstar, hearing her mention the culprit was one of Thunderclan, "No... no no no... Who would do this..." His eyes were clouded with sorrow, in shock at everything that happened. Everything seemed to be whirling around him as he tried to process everything, but as he saw his mother slowly walk away, he swallowed thickly, "H..Help me carry him back to camp..." His voice was barely a whisper when he said it, but afterwards he got up onto shaky paws and began to nudge his muzzle underneath Owlstrike's front half carefully.

xvixensnow woke up a tad late to the commotion, as she had had a restless night. "huh? owlstrike...? hm, i don't remember seeing him, no. though, i wasn't really paying attention to people outside of the warriors den."

Dovepaw glanced at Raveneye, before glancing back at her mom. "Cottonstar, we need to give him the vigil he deserves," she murmured. "That's what he would want, isn't it?" she asked her leader, before going to help with carrying Owlstrike's body.

"Yes." Cottonstar answered. "Y-yes, we should."

She took a deep shaky breath, before making away back to the camp. Unaware if she was leading her classmates or following them. She felt numb. Even if she looked held together, and ok. At the entrance she looked around at her clan. She called "I have sorrowful news for you all." She leaped onto the rock where she made her announcements. "Owlstrike.. O-Owlstrike is... Dead... he was murdered during the night. On his own territory." She called. "I'm so sorry... Everyone. TheHe was a brave warrior. And he'll be missed."

Kestrelhop emerged from the den and shook her pelt free of the brambles. She stared wide-eyed at the leader. "You found him? What do you mean, he's dead? What happened to him?"

xxBeing such a heavy sleeper, Harrierheart was finally awakened as a warrior in a nest near him got up. The deputy looked up, spying the sun in the blue sky. He was starting to worry that he had some sort of sleeping problem. He got to his paws and left the warriors' den, thinking about who to send on a hunting patrol. He was about to find some cats to send out when he saw Cottonstar rushing into camp with tears in her eyes. He was about to approach her when she climbed up the Highledge.

xx"Owlstrike?" Of all cats to be murdered, him? Strong, charming Owlstrike? And murder? It was likely that it was someone from outside of ThunderClan, but Harrierheart couldn't help but look at the cats that had gathered around him.

Raveneye gave a grateful look at his younger sister as she helped him carry their father back to camp. His tail drooped, as did his ears, while he gazed at the ground, doing his best to process all of what had happened. It had all happened so fast, just only yesterday things had been fine, his father was alive and all was well... Why did this happen?
Eventually they got to camp and he gently set Owlstrike's body down in the clearing, sitting beside it with his eyes closed as grief wracked his mind.

Dovepaw followed Raveneye's lead, settling in beside him beside their father's body. "We will miss you Owlstrike," she murmured softly as glanced over to her mother. "I hope Mom will be okay, this is going to be hard on her," she whispered softly to Raveneye.
