Cypress glanced gratefully as the Warrior as she settled down on her belly. She gently tore off a wing and began to pluck the feathers out. "Thanks." she mumbled as she spat out a wad of translucent feathers onto the ground, where they evaporated almost instantly like fog. She took no notice as she cleared the rest of them off. Cypress took a delicate bite, wishing to savor the flavorful taste of the Starbirds. She inhaled a little bit as if to ask a question, but thought it better not to and instead stayed quiet, wagging her tail a little bit.

He took a bite from the other side of the bird. Even juicier than he could remember on earth. "This is...undoubtedly the best prey I'VE ever had."

Cypress grinned at the former Warrior. "every piece of prey here is special. As I overheard our Healer say, 'the spirit is always brighter than the body.' I used to think mad things were going on in that wolf's head, but now I realize those words had been correct." She commented, tilting her head down with mild interest as she took another bite.

"The spirit is always brighter than the body," Acero echoed. In an odd way, that made sense. Though a week ago he might’ve thought that Healer was nutty too. "Yeah...I suppose that’s what makes everyone individual, huh?"

The Trainee blinked in agreement as she spat out a bine into the ground where it evaporated into fog. She exhaled a heavy breath. “By the earth-dogs, I’m stuffed.” She commented, flicking her starry ear and squinting at the little part of the bird’s wing.

Acero finished his half of the bird. Pheasants. Are. Big. Birds. "By the earth-dogs? Man...down there we just declared 'by the sky-dogs!' He laughed quietly. "Guess things parallel here."

Cypress giggled a little bit as she shoved the little piece of her wing away into a small bush. She was never as hungry as she was when she lived. "Well, I guess we can't really say "By the us!" can we?" she shrugged and smiled, slowly sitting up. "I mean, that would sound super weird."

"I meaaaan...we COULD, but it’d sound weird," The Warrior agreed, tilting his head to the side as he tried to picture how that would work. "Then again, a lot is weird."

"I'm not acting. I’m NOT scared of him. Why should I be? If he's here and not with the Moon-Dogs, that means the heavens think he deserves a second chance," Fish pointed out. She looked up, surprised to realize that even from here, in the heavens, she could see the full moon reaching its peak. "Are you going to visit anyone tonight?" She asked.

Lolan turned to look up at the sky, then leapt nimbly onto a rock about a foot and a half high, right in the middle of the sparkling meadow. "Wolves of Starris! The full moon is at its peak! It is time for those who wish to return for a fight to follow me to the earth-dogs camps, to visit loved ones."

"And I have to see Jupiter. I have stuff I need to tell her that I never got to. I kinda wonder if she ever felt kinda...pushed off to the side. She and I were similar in a number of ways. I never felt quite so...alone or like the oddball after she and I started talking," she admitted, then hurried over to where Lolan had called out.

Fish laughed. "She liked to swim, and we saved one of the Fire Hunters! She also apparently slept in the tree right across from mine!" She remembered, her voice a happy chirp. Then she watched with wide eyes as Lolan and his mate, a pretty, dark brown she-wolf, lifted their heads with a simultaneous howl, and disappeared in a flurry of stars blown away by a light breeze that smelled of stardust and rain on grass. "I guess that’s how we cross." Her blue eyes turned to Blake and she tilted her head to one side. "Together?"
