Nightshadow shrugged and began to turn away from the meeting. She honestly didn't know who she'd expected, but it certainly wasn't sparrowclaw. If she was really being truthful, she didn't care who got picked as long as they did they're job well without letting the power get to they're head.

Needlewhisker didn't care much about who got chosen, as long as they let her sleep. Thankfully she didn't think she had to go on any patrols at the moment. She trudged over to the warrior's den, her paws dragging across the grassy ground, and flopped into her nest. The rest of the world could wait, she was exhausted. Before she knew it, she was fast asleep.

When lightningstar announced the new deputy, mousepelt rolled her eyes and stuck her head back into the nursery. She couldn't care less who was named deputy, as long as it didn't effect her kits. Despite never really wanting them, she still felt protective of them.

He had considered going after his granddaughter but seeing her mentor leave decided to leave it up to the white she-cat. "Stormpaw just needs a little time," he muttered to himself with a soft sigh.

Stormpaw made her way to a large tree and sat next to it with her tail lashing. Soon she got to her paws and began to pace, muttering things under her breath. She kept this up for a few moments before letting out a yowl of frustration and taking a seat once more.

Hearing the yowl, it wasn't difficult to pinpoint where Stormpaw had gone. Following the direction she'd heard it come from, Snowberry eventually saw the smaller form of her apprentice seated at the base of a big oak tree. Hesitating for a moment, she gathered her thoughts, let out a quiet exhale, and emerged from the undergrowth. "Hey." Her voice was gentle, and she decided to take a seat a short distance away from Stormpaw. "Bit of an odd choice, huh? Sparrowclaw would stick his nose right into an anthill if he thought the ants were speaking of secrets he didn't know." The white warrior lightly joked, hoping it would help at least a little bit. In times like these, she found not focusing right on the issue was a good approach. Stormpaw would open up when she was ready, and no amount of prying would help.

After congratulating Sparrowclaw, it was clear everyone else in the Clan more or less lost all interest and wanted to retire for the night. So much for making any friendly conversation... He wouldn't be able to get to sleep until he knew Snowberry was back in the camp, safe. And Stormpaw too. If anything were to happen to the apprentice, he knew his sister would be devastated. So, padding a few feet away from the now dissipating group of cats, Winterbrook crouched down, tail curling over his front paws. Guess he would be waiting in silence.

"Sparrowclaw is only deputy until I'm old enough to take his spot," she meowed. "So are you here to yell at me for leaving before Lightningstar dismissed the meeting? If so you better get it over with because once he's done addressing the Clan he'll be out here to yell to."

Shadowclaw grunted with effort as he gripped the scruff of the young cat and tugged her out of the water. He had been shocked to see her lodged up against the bank and half drooped over a large branch. He shook off his paws sending droplets of water flying the he inspected the young she cat. He sighed in relief as he saw he sides faintly rising and falling, 'Ok, so she is soaking wet and unconscious but alive, thank Star clan!' He thought as he reached down to prod her with a paw. 'What am I supposed to do now?' He wondered, 'She isn't from Ravenclan or I would know her.' Then shock made his pelt prickle as he saw a thin blue tendril around her neck. "She is a kittypet!" He gasped aloud. Then he shook his head, it didn't matter if she was, he had to take her back to camp and back to the medicine den. He carefully grasped her scruff and began dragging her back to camp. As he got closer to the camp he spotted two cats in the trees. He set down the kitty pet and called out "Snowberry! Stormpaw! I need help! I need to get her to Yewberry!"

Pixie was dreaming that she was in her house folks garden. Their kits played around her and she chased them gleefully. Suddenly one of the kits reached down and grabbed her by the scruff and starting dragging her around the yard yelling. Pixie struggled but the kit was holding her too tightly, then the other kit darted in and grabbed her around her chest and squeezed. She could hardly breathe and the sounds and sights around her faded to blackness once more.

Coalpaw's eyes glanced from one clanmate to another as he made his way out of the apprentice's den. Sparrowclaw had been a good choice, then again Coalpaw didn't really know them all that well, or really, anyone that had a name higher than 'paw'. He spotted Oakpaw and his ears perked up, trotting over to him. "Wanna go hunting? The fresh-kill pile is looking pretty bleak." He asked, his eyes glancing at the kill pile.

Amberwing's mind still wandered to the deputy choice from the meeting; she refused to give away any emotions. She was still a young warrior and to think she even had a shot was impossible; she hadn't received her first apprentice yet. Still, she didn't envy Lightningstar having to make such a difficult decision in light of the tragedy that had befallen the clan but she couldn't help but wonder if it had been the right one. She glanced around at the warriors remaining. "Frostwater, want to get out of camp for a while? I could use a buddy."

She paused as Crowbreeze trotted up to her target and mentally sighed, a mixture of amusement and irritation clouding her mind for a few heartbeats. Shaking her head the Silver-tinged blue-grey she-cat continued forward and with a smile and a purr, spoke. "Congratulations, Sparrowclaw. I can't wait to see how you'll do, I know it'll be great." To watch, she silently added to herself, Lupinedusk didn't have much confidence in the other toms roll, but it wasn't up to her. She glanced at Crowbreeze nodding a silent greeting, before returning her gaze to Sparrowclaw. "Aside from congratulating you, I've come to offer to lead a patrol." She added, with a slight nod of her head.

A small smile made its way to his maw as he turned to see Silentpaw sitting next to him. "Good morning, Silentpaw." The tabby stood, and slowly began to walk the den, he didn't like to talk out in the open no matter the subject. Which meant he wasn't very talkative unless he was in the medicine cat den, outside the camp, or by the moonpool/moonstone.

The bi-colored blinked up as Mistfur padded over to her, and nodded absently. Heaving her light frame up the copper-eyed female trotted over to the prey-pile, which was sadly rather sparse. Huffing in annoyance, she shook her head and picked up a mouse and a rabbit. She planned to give the mouse to Yarrowfoot, while Missingleg and Sunnyspring could share the rabbit.
