She looked around the camp when saw one of the warriors approving her with a cardinal, she looked the prey for a moment thinking what to say to her. She just ate a bird, so she didn't have that big of hungry, but then again the she-cat took the prey all way to her so she didn't want to be rude to her "Hello Littleflower, niced looking Cardinal you got there" she meowed to her with a smile "...do you want to share that with me?" she meowed to her.

He followed the medicine cat to the nursery, sitting near to its entrance silently watching the kittens there doing their own thinks, not really knowing what he could say or do with them. He was not that old yet for good stories like an original long-lived elder could have, instead, he just watched and made sure that the medicine cat could do her jobs peacefully.

He run to the forest, by himself, it felt good to be out and without nobody to look after or say what to do. He sniffed the air to make sure if there were any prey nearby or other patrols, which were out, he needed to avoid being caught by them, but then again there could not be a way to get back to camp with prey.

A s the patrol dispersed, Beestar headed back towards camp. She kept a quick but steady pace, trying not to exhaust herself. Her tail twitched in irritation as she watched. She'd only been leader for four short moons, and she felt as if she had hardly earned her Clan's respect. It made her job more frustrating, but it just meant she'd have to focus harder. Finally, the tabby slid into camp. She scanned the clearing, spotting both her deputy and Tigerblaze in camp. Blizzardclaw seemed to be still dealing with Bearpaw, as he was by Robinwind's den with the apprentice.
The leader stalked past the ginger tabby, ordering, "My den," as she passed him. Once the tabby entered the den she turned around, sitting with her tail wrapped unusually tight around her paws - the queen's tail typically remained out by her side.

"I know that we just found bearpaw, and were all getting over such a fright. but i havent seen hazepaw since this morning, and i think he may of went out to hunt by himself. Weaselstripe had finally felt like he had gotten enough for the day, knowing how sparse the forest was currently. While he did feel accomplished that he managed to catch two on this trip back out, he felt better about his overall catch count for the day but felt a bit displeased as he knew he could do more. While he was heading back he caught the scent of Hazepaw as the wind carried it but he didn't scent any other warriors nearby. He was sure the apprentice was going to get in trouble which wasn't good at all. "What are you doing out here?" He called to the apprentice as he tracked him down quickly.

Russetswirl had been mostly focusing on sounds of prey while the two of them walked and had barely talked. However the moment he heard Nightwish ask that question, he blinked surprised by the blunt question from the young warrior. "Uh - Well - I...." He stammered as he glanced at his paws some while he grew hot. "We need to focus on hunting Nightwish not gossiping Nightwish," he shook his head as he tried to regain focus on finding prey again. It was typical of him, whenever another had brought things such as that to his attention he just pushed it away and buried himself in his work.

"That's still no reason to leave by himself," Sunflare pointed out firmly. "He's an eight-moon-old apprentice, not a little kit, and he should know better. Besides, who said anything about staying in camp all day? We're only guarding it until the others get back."

Tigerblaze merely flicked an ear at Beestar's order as she stalked past him, betraying no emotion. He wasn't surprised, after all. He rose to his paws, although did so in a calm, relaxed manner, making it clear that he was in no hurry, and padded after Beestar into her den. "Yes?" He eyed her questioningly, almost challengingly.

With a yelp of surprise, Splashfeather dropped her prey and went tumbling to the ground. The force of the apprentice's tackle had nearly driven the wind out of her--hardly an apprentice anymore, he had grown more than she had in the last two moons that she'd spent in the warriors' den. His shoulders weren't always that broad, were they? "Oh, so that's how it is, is it?" Narrowing her eyes playfully, she scooped up a pawful of muddy snow and flung it in his face before running off in anticipation of him doing the same to her.

(@Tainted, I do get that lol, although I don't think Foxcloud was ever actually rp'd mooning over Southstar or him over her so that's why at this point I don't think anyone would realistically have much of a reason to assume he's the father. When the kits are born he and Swiftbadger will definitely be the two main suspects within the clan, since they'll bear the most resemblance to the kits, but there's also always the possibility of an OakClan cat or non-Clan cat too, so...x) At least at this point there's just not enough basis for anyone to assume South is the father, even if they know Deer isn't.)

Southstar curiously eyed the silver thing caught in Swiftbadger's paw. "Good job," he meowed in response to the tom's report of bringing back plump prey, but his eyes remained on the hooked object and there was concern in his voice. It was hard to sound happy when five of his clanmates were ill and another one had just gotten some strange, sharp twoleg thing stuck in his paw. He hoped Daydream would be able to get it out; it looked like it hurt. He looked up at Mistflower's voice and mewed a small greeting to her.

Nightwish frowned. Why were the older warriors so avoidant of this topic? "It's not gossip if I'm asking you directly," she pointed out, a bit annoyed. "I was just curious, that's all. It's not like I'm going to tell anyone if you do or not."

"I'd love to, if you don't mind," Littleflower purred, settling down beside Oatleaf. Her stomach had been rumbling all morning, and another pang of hunger hit her as she reached to take a bite of the cardinal. Her mouth watered before her teeth even met the bird's flesh and she chewed it slowly, relishing the taste. "It's great, thank you," she meowed gratefully to Oatleaf, waiting for the elder to take a bite before she took another one herself. The pang of hunger she'd felt earlier was replaced with one of sympathy as her gaze traveled to the medicine cat den, where Swiftbadger was, and she hoped that Mistflower would bring him some prey to eat while he waited to be treated.

Creamflower purrs as she watches Poppykit and Dustkit nurse, noticing them falling asleep at the same time. She smiles and lays her head down to take a nap herself, closing her eyes.

(Fun fact: Whenever kittens nurse, regardless if they are big cats or domestic cats, it is so soothing and reassuring for them that they tend to fall asleep!)

Robinwind sniffed at Snowfur and purred, "You look alright, Snowfur, your kits will be here soon, but let me know if you need anything until then, okay?" He mewed to the queen, and then turned back to see Stormkit and Falconkit with Lighttail, and Creamflowers kits asleep by her belly. He smiled at the sight, glad for the little bit of comfort and happiness. It dind't last long as his thoughts drifted. He should probably go check back on Dappleleaf and Ivypaw soon though, to make sure they had warmed up.

Elmshade sighed and padded away from the rest of the group, catching the faint smell of prey. She was frustrated at Tigerblaze, and at herself. She was glad that Bearpaw was okay, but surely there could have been a better way to track her down without getting into trouble? Elmshade huffed once more and shook her head to clear it. She needed to stop being upset about it, otherwise it would effect her hunting. She could hear the chirp of a bird up ahead, and snuck up to catch it with little trouble. It wasn't very plump, but it would feed a few of her Clanmates, which was what mattered. She scraped some leaf litter over it and continued on.

The only reason you're not being punished is because I'd have to punish the patrol as well, for going along with it. It was ignorant on your part as well as yours. You don't make the calls around here, Tigerblaze. You should remember that." The tip of her tail was twitching wildly and the usually calm queen's fur was bristling with anger at her warrior's blatant lack of respect for her authority. She felt undermined, and it got under her pelt, heating her up inside. "We've been on good terms with EagleClan, but we'll no doubt face questioning from Southstar. I know that Bearpaw was lost and everyone was acting rash, but you've got a brain in there, I know that it hasn't been replaced with bees."

Snow still on his nose, the tom chased after her, his tail held high. Jackdawpaw was giddy; playing like a kit again felt wonderful. Splashfeather's tortoiseshell pelt stood out like a ginger-and-black shadow against the white snow, and the black tom noticed for the first time how lovely it looked. His paws stuttered a bit at the thought and he almost lost his balance, but he quickly resumed the game, swerving to a stop by twisting his body sideways so that he could kick up snow towards her with his hind paws.

A s Mistflower trotted off with the prey, Quiverheart watched her go with a smile. She was proud of her mentor, though she feared perhaps her heart would be broken. Mistflower was the loveliest cat Quiverheart had ever known and her closest friend, so the thought of the queen being rejected made her very sad; but how could she know if she didn't try? A small sigh slipped out of Quiverheart's muzzle as she realized that she'd likely never do the same. She was so shy, and besides, she had never gotten close to any cat but Deertail and Mistflower. Picking up a small piece of prey from the pile, the queen decided it was time to eat. As she made her way towards a spot in the sun to eat, she passed by Messfur and Springheart, mewing a hello to them as she went. Overhearing a bit of her conversation, she said to the two, "Good luck out there. Prey seems to be sparse today with all of the snow, but our patrol brought back a bit!" Her voice cracked a bit at the end, as worry that she was interrupting clouded her mind. She hoped that the fact she was mumbling around her meal would account for the way her voice broke, rather than giving away her own nervousness.
