Oh i actually like that thought. then nick could give it a go on a test server to see just exactly what it might do and any issues that could possibly occur because of it, before deciding to add it to the site itself (or scrapping it if he feels that it would hurt the site or its users)

slides in here to give a sneaky bump
also, a small tiny tidbit of new information: I found the phpBB files for a small phpBB forum that my friends and I have (private, just for us) and... wow
I kinda understand why there haven't been any new coders to this day. Some of the phpBB files where you make stuff happen... have........... some info that is sensitive and that I bet even moderators won't see.
But! Those files were basically database files. (phpMyAdmin) I haven't found the files for the actual webpages, and I can't imagine that they would have any sensitive info. So my point from the previous page still stands: Getting more coders on board for small QoL updates (cough confirm logout cough) shouldn't be that bad

Was your pet adopted December 18, any year, or December 24, 2011? It is most likely an older pet! CLICK ME to identify your pet!

Heya! Reviving this cause i definitely feel like it is a must! Even if the CS team has to figure out crowdfunding from us to prepare major website updates so they can hire professionals!
Because as someone who has been here since CS started, which means 2009, it really hasnt changed at all. And i want what is best for the site and CS, which means it is about time that some proper innovation occurs. Which is impossible with a one man team. I would be completely fine with them making small site events out of the crowdfunding or even just doing kickstarters or patreons if it meant we could hire professionals on a contract for MAJOR updates that would benefit a ton.
