"And I suppose...eventually all the wolves we’ve known and loved will join us up here as well. My only regret is leaving Athena and Nerœ. Athena...was my best friend, despite our massive age gap, and Nerœ was raising a Pup alone. I’d hoped to help," Acero admitted. "One day I’ll see them again. Tell me, is there winter up here?" He wondered.

Pine brought back the rabbit. " Yep, there's winter! Except it doesn't get cold and there still TONS of prey! Not that it matters though!" He tore a piece of rabbit and ate it. " I've been here for 5 winters now, and trust me, Its a LOT of fun!" He said with a mouthful of the rabbit.

OOC: Does anyone have a wolf that's been dead for a little while that Pine can like reference and stuff? Just so he sounds like he's not the only one in the whole place before the battle...

OOC: Lolan and Grace, Shadow's parents, and Cinder, Max's dad, should be around somewhere. Or Shadow's pups and old mate.

"What’s the difference between summer and winter if it doesn’t get cold and prey doesn’t run scarce though?" He wondered. And where did the prey come from? Did all the prey they caught and killed come up here to feed them all over again? That seemed the only logical explanation...which meant there was too much prey for ANYONE to eat.

Pine laughed. " There's snow in winter silly! You can't get cold, but still, have fun in it!" He looked at the rabbit " I don't really know what really goes on with the rabbits. I guess it's like the rabbit's ghost and they die, but regenerate back later, or something like that" He said, confusion in his voice. He was dead for almost 5 years now, but he still couldn't figure out how the prey thing worked. He ran up to the shade of a nearby tree and laid down, grooming his silver fur.

"Well whatever it is, it’s cool! And playing in the snow, but never getting cold?" He asked. He perked up, tail wagging behind him.

Acero's playful spirit had left a long time ago, but here, in this new place, it had returned. The gleam in his blue eyes, the desire to hunt that every wolf had, despite the fact he’d never been trained, and the playfulness of a newborn Pup. His fur was sleek and well groomed, speckled with the stars of the night sky, with no trace of the grey that had tinged his muzzle and chest fur. As if he were back in his youth, a three or four year old, as if still in his prime.

"Does time go backwards here?" He wondered. "I seem to be...younger than when I died."

Pine scratched his head with his hind leg. " i don't know, but your senses like, revitalize. Its like being born again!" He jumped up as high as he could and landed. " You get stronger, more energetic, and happier!" He wagged his tail happily.

"Even though it was only a day?" Fish asked. She stared awkwardly down at the ground. "Uhh...I made some bad decisions in grief, which is what got me killed in the first place, but...the night before the battle hit, I...uh...I missed you too much, so I slept in your nest so your scent would be the last thing I smelled before I went to sleep. Hope you’re not offended..."

It made sense to Acero...especially considering he felt energy and strength flowing through him for the first time in almost three years. "It’s...as if I’m back in my prime, when I was at my finest!" He exclaimed, joy lighting his face.

"I dunno. Some wolves would get grumpy if someone slept in their nest. And it was unusual. Especially since I never once slept in the Warrior den," she remembered. "I just...missed you too much. I wasn’t ready to let you go. I could’ve fought Ice more. I SHOULD'VE fought harder, to stay with Hugo and Jupiter. I heard what she said. She..." Fish's voice caught. "Jupiter said she had loved me." For whatever reason, the memory of her friend's tearful eyes and the softly spoken words made her heart tear in two. "I couldn’t love her that way though. Even if I’d wanted to."

"That hurt..." she whined. Jupiter's voice, echoing again and again, knowing she’d left her friends behind, but she would probably still be able to visit, right? She fixed her eyes on Blake. "I wanted to tell you something when you were suppose to come back," she blurted.
