Giving her a grin in response, Enapay led the way. Ears flicking around, listening for anything around them. Muzzle to the air, taking in scents and wondering what he could pick up with his nose. The male glanced back at the fae, making sure she was not being left behind. Padding through the little trail that the hunters usually used, Enapay paused and lowered his head to the ground.

Atlanta narrowed her eyes as she followed the brute. Her ears swiveled as she glanced into the trees and peeked into the bushes. Her nose found out a rabbit burrow and she was just about to call out to Enapay, but then quickly shut her jaws. The scent was stale and the burrow was half collapsed. Disgruntled, she continued onwards to follow the Hunter, her watchful eyes darting to every flash of movement. "Any specific prey we're looking for, or pretty much the general area of kill?" She asked, keeping her eyes focused on the rustling evening forest around her.

Flicking an ear back at her words, the brute paused with a paw hovering over the ground. “The general area of kill. Anything you see, go for it.” he told her in a hushed voice, yet enough for her to hear. Enapay continued on, his eyes scanning the hunting grounds. Something caught his eye and the male instantly whipped his head around. A nice plump rabbit sat on a stone, back turned away from the wolves. Crouching low to the ground, Enapay got ready to strike at the prey.

Leaping forward, the grey wolf pounced on the rabbit. The rabbit tried to scurry away but Enapay caught it before it got to. He stood on the rock, though he seemed to have misjudged the size of the rock. Next thing he knew was falling into the water behind him. Grumbling under his breath, the brute scooped up the dead rabbit and tossed it onto the rock he had fallen off of. Shaking out his pelt, Enapay felt disappointed that he would make a fool of himself.

Atlanta held back a tiny giggle as she quickly exited the bush she was hiding out in for Enapay to catch the rabbit. She padded forwards, her head tilted in mild amusement and eyes glistening. "Nice catch! Need any help?" she asked, eyeing his wet pelt. She could see his fur prickling with embarrassment and the seasoned Hunter swallowed down her laughter. He had caught the rabbit and that was really all that mattered. "Are you hurt?"

The grey male heard her giggle and flicked his tail her direction, flicking her with some droplets of water. “Thanks. One down and a few more to go.” he said with a grin and then shivered slightly as the breeze rushed over his wet coat. “I’m fine, my pride is hurt though.” he said jokingly and retrieved the one rabbit in his jaws and his yellow golden eyes glanced at the fae. Normally one rabbit would do the trick for himself, but since it was for the whole pack, hunting more would be a wise idea.

Atlanta blinked kindly at the brute. She squinted her eyes against the water droplets and let out a yip of protest. She certainly like didn't getting wet. Even if it was the slightest bit. She bounced back and turned around, perking her ears and taking on an alert demeanor. She dropped her muzzle to the ground and inhaled gently, trying to catch a whiff. Rabbit blood filled her nose, but she still caught a whiff of pheasant. Fresh, not stale, and nearby. "Here, I smell a pheasant- right this way." The fae cast a light-hearted glance at Eneapay before ducking under an old, low-hanging aspen limb and starting to follow the scent trail eagerly.

Tilting his head slightly at her words, he followed after her. Ducking his head from the low hanging branch, Enapay brushed past the fae lightly as he tried to get a better view of the pheasant. It was all alone and seemed to not pay attention to the wolves. “You want to get this one?” he asked her softly, shifting his gaze over to her. At this point his fur had dried but was still a bit damp. He had dropped the rabbit at his feet and waited to see what the fae would do.

Atlanta squinted playfully at Enapay. "I sure do! Haven't hunted pheasants in a while. Mainly been takin' out deer and boars with huntmates." She winked at the Hunter and crawled forwards, switching her gaze from the brute's to the pheasant. Right leg wounded, smell's that of thorns, she noted, her tail gliding over the floor as she observed the bird. Large tail, thick feathers. Keep an eye out for that. She took another step forwards as she saw something strange on the thick pheasant. It had fluffed its feathery wings up as it leapt over a piece of a log to search for bugs on the other side. Short left wing. Probably a birth defect; weak spot. she blinked at the bird and lashed her tail once as she advanced.

The seasoned Hunter, once within the range of a pheasant, was near enough so her nose was filled with the rich scent of its blood. Her mouth watered as she took one more step.. onto a brittle twig. It cracked in half and the sound was like thunder echoing through the near-silent forest. "Fox fangs!" she cursed as the bird ran away. Or tried to. She would NOT fail at this! Atlanta bounded forwards and launched herself at the bird, talons outstretched. She caught its overly feathery tail and pulled it towards her. "Gotcha!" she barked gleefully and her jaws closed around the pheasant's neck. One swift motion, and she now had a piece of prey. She wagged her tail with delight and padded back to Hunter Enapay.

He watched the female as she stalked the bird and then launched at it. To say he was impressed was an understatement, but he definitely was. “Well done Atlanta. Nice catch. Shall we head back or do you still want to hunt more?” he asked her, then scooped up the prey he caught, holding it by the neck. He hoped that this would be enough till the alpha sent them out for a real hunt. He hadn’t hunted down a deer in a while and honestly he missed it.

Atlanta blinked happily at Enapay before bumping his shoulder lightly. "I say we go back. I noticed two of our.. lovely Gammas- Aspen and Rerena- coming back with pheasants! Apparently they hunted by themselves." she sighed and shook her head. "Always causing trouble, those two." She let out a soft bark of a giggle and gingerly lifted up the bird. Currently unable to speak, she just nodded her head towards the path leading back to camp. Her paws felt light and swift as she began to trot home.
