Gravitas
I'll struggle and thrash,
and I'll scream at the sky,
because if I don't
then I'll surely just die
I'll die, yeah, regardless
The sky won't respond,
no matter how desperate
I am to hold on
I'll fall into pieces,
my mind will escape
as particulate matter,
till the black holes agape
at the edge of the cosmos
(still too dark to see)
will slowly consume
all that once made up me
But perhaps I am stardust
as my lover would say,
and made up of matter
from so far away--
I'll descend into darkness
a beam of pure light
To a new nebula
It'll all be alright

Aether
I awoke to the sound
of dark wind all around,
as I'm falling towards black holes and marrow.
It's alright, mind your head--
space is low overhead,
and the path through the starlight is narrow.
So my mind danced around
'till I found solid ground,
and I got all the brain I could borrow;
mind your manners, he said,
as he strolled through my head,
and I guessed I'd be better tomorrow.
And they say you can fly,
if you stare at the sky
and pretend you're not bound by the law.
Clear the clouds, breathe in space,
find your guiding and face
the expanse with a little withdrawal.

Time
To travel wide from here to far,
a tightrope walking ant with scars--
come dance along beside of me
for time ticks to the sound.
And yet, I'll go another way
it's not for ants to sit and stay
while time is softly calling me
to wake up with a bound.
The galaxies--their protons fade.
The roaring hearts of stars decayed
as incoherent matter, me,
I'll walk until I'm found.
Perhaps I'll still a sailor be,
and glide into infinity
until it's only space and me
and nothing else around.

mumbles, wales
His hand ghosts mine, curled at gaunt-boned hips,
and clasps it close to his. It’s here we come
to watch the shadowed coast arising from
the bay’s dark-gleamed horizon, and silk ships
adrift upon the blooddeep sea. He grips
me closer as our wind-chilled palms grow numb,
as, spiralling, the dusk-wisped clouds grow glum,
and traces hearts upon my chapping lips.
The spectral boats float far beyond our eyes,
a starry night enshrouds gulls as they soar,
so silently we turn from stilling shores,
yet hand in hand, hot core to heat-pulsed core,
as star-stark, hazy night draws ever nigh
to us as lovers who must learn their love must thrive.

Dear
Dear,
sweetly held, beloved like a
delicate bird, like a
subtle dream, an
idyllic song that I keep ethereal
between my hairs
Dear,
melodic instances,
tingling pains of your eternal spell
that rest warmly on our saliva
like a blade
melted between my nails,
an amalgamation of wounds
Dear,
your whole life
a tunnel of sleeplessness
you hypnotize me,
have me at your loving mercy,
cornered in your hands
with the only exit key
My Dear,
merman
you are the hook
on my cheek,
and you can't belong to me
If you don't belong
to yourself

terra nova wrote:silicon dioxide
his gardens are made of
cough syrup bottles,
bright rocks and things
that mermaids dream about
sometimes i think i can smell the cave
coming off of them,
damp and cold and dark.
i tell you
they look like springtime in tahiti
but feel
like darkest winter
in the ural mountains
and i can see
his face in them i swear
but radiant
refracted
another universe where
he was created
out of melted down marbles
it's the only art
i've ever seen
that i immediately
want to understand
The imagery in this poem is out of this world

I'm really getting the feels and I love it a lot! Your poetry sends such good vibes to me, I hope you never stop writing

Keep up the great work!

flightless
I often think about how much
I love you
and that presence that lingers
once heavy snores start;
they leave this drastic sense
of nostalgia and marrow
infusions that get tangled
in the mess of my head
There are chills and whispers
in the spines of depressives
that strangle the shadows
of sharp hands -
The mirage of sunny appetites
clouded by the shield of
phantasmagoric shape-shifters
I am -
statements posed as question marks
lingering on the edge of
sandy shores ;
you are, cloudy
I am, ghostly
I am-
again questioning the existence
of man and those
kaleidoscopic flashings
in my skull
Mad boy, always
and charming, forever -
I often think of your
shadow and its
shoulder blades sticking
into those sad spines;
I often think of the debris
left behind summer-storms
and the ability to
congratulate reflections
on the attainment of
adoration
"There's magic in dusty corners
and there's life in this shell"
he says, stirring
