Gorsefoot looked to Cloudtuft and Songbreeze as they approached the group, giving them a sort of wolfish grin as he wagged his tail slightly. Getting to his paws, his brown eyes trailed over the siblings for a moment, he couldn't quiet tell what they were thinking other than the annoyance he picked up. He turned back to Songbreeze for a moment to thank her, before travelling back to the two apprentices.

"Before you go, promise me that you won't stray from Cloudtuft and Songbreeze unless they explicitly tell you to. We don't need a repeat of yesterday."

Songbreeze grinned at Gorsefoot, and flicked her tail playfully. "Yes, Patchpaw, Spottedpaw, listen to your wise old deputy," she said teasingly, before jumping up and beginning to swiftly trot towards where she knew to be Skypack's old territory; east. "Don't be slow, or Cloudtuft and I will leave you behind," she called over her shoulder to the two apprentices.

He nodded to Songbreeze "old and wise huh?" he repeated "he is just being made deputy so aren't he kind of young then" he said to them.

She listened to the older two dogs "are we going just three of them or asking someone to come with us?" she asked at Songbreeze.

Songbreeze laughed at Patchpaw's remarked, though not mockingly. "Haha, he's old to me, and, most likely, to you two as well." Songbreeze paused, thinking slightly, before answering. "This is just a patrol, like a scouting mission; Cloudtuft and I are going to see if anything in Skypack's old territory might eat us." She meant it jokingly, of course, but there was a slight undertone of seriousness. Songbreeze perhaps had not believed the two apprentices fully, but she knew unchecked territory could be a good home for more than just rabbits.

He lifted his shoulders lightly "of course, I guess...the thinks could be still there and the traps too, maybe more dead animals" he told them with sight.

She walked after her brother and Songbreeze "as long there are not any dead dogs there, the traps looked very nasty, they broke the animal's necks and bones" she said to them shivering about the thought "not a pleasant way to die" she said silently.

Songbreeze frowned as she walked, thinking. This is bad, I've heard of the silly things two-legs do, using metal contraptions to kill animals. This close to our territory... not to mention all the prey they're taking. "That sounds like two-legs' work," she said with a grimace, quickening her pace. Alright, if this truly is two-legs' doing, this is much more dangerous than your typical scouting mission...

He rolled his eyes at the older dog's words "It is two legs doings, who else it could be as long the dogs from Skypack didn't turn to be two legs" he said to her, walking forward the borders which separated the Windclan to the Skypack's.

She flicked her ears lightly, starting to hear sounds into the distance "I think those two legs are working now, I didn't hear this kind of a loud voice last night?" she told them.

Songbreeze paused, ears perked, eyes fixed on the old border. It still had the scent of Skypack, even after all this time. The loud clangs and bangs coming from the abandoned territory made the young warrior's skin crawl. Whatever was there, it wasn't right. It felt wrong, like fur that grew the wrong way. "Follow me and stay hidden, two-legs are as dangerous as they are unpredictable," she hissed, keeping low to the ground as she slunk forward.
