As much as I try to quit the game due to the toxic community, nostalgia keeps bringing me back. I wish more people would appreciate the actual game. I hardly see anyone wanting to play adventures other that The Forgotten Desert, or like genuinely enjoying the game? I’m all for collecting rares and stuff, it’s fun, but that shouldn’t be the main focus of Animal Jam.

i've been through so many ups and downs with this game, but i don't think i'll ever be able to stop playing. my life on aj seems to just be a vicious cycle of me deciding i'm going to quit for good, giving away all my items, rediscovering chicken smoothie, finding this thread again out of nostalgia, and then trying to come back and build up from the ground again. i don't really have any money to spend on the game, so when i try to trade, everyone attempts to take advantage of me because i look like a gullible young nonmember. (it probably doesn't help that i switched accounts last year so i have no achievements or member items to prove myself) i joined in 2011, but since i was young i never really built up any rares (and what rares i did have either got scammed or given away in a desperate attempt to smooth over any drama my younger self managed to get into) as an older jammer, the only things i really find amusement in are trading, playing the games, or den decorating, but there's not much to do as a non member with only rare item mondays in my list. that's why i'm really looking forward to feral, i'd love a new start for everybody, especially in a less kid-centered environment.

i’ve been on aj since 2010 and i cannot agree more ,,,, what sucks is that i barely fit in on animal jam anymore, everyone is so cliquey, i love the vibes and playing adventures on there, but i literally just. play by myself. and i remember having people that i would log on just to talk to for my first few years of membership, where did the openness go? why is everyone so uptight on aj now fhsjsjsj

So I dunno how I feel about Feral so far. Like, it's pretty cool and unique, but I have some gripes with it. For one, there's areas that are blocked off for whatever reason, and that makes it impossible to access certain features (I'll try not to spoil too much for those that haven't gotten to play yet). There are items I want that I simply can't get because of this. It's like they're artificially prolonging the gameplay or something. Just let people explore at their own pace, don't make us have to wait around for no reason with nothing else to do.
I suppose, if nothing else, it does make me want to come back to the game every day to see if anything's changed. Small things will change here and there, so I guess that's what they're banking on. Keep the players coming back for the sheer curiosity of it.
