Lucas's hand went to the left of his heart swiftly, and he looked both a bit shocked and pleased. "I'm touched! That's quite an ego boost and I haven't had a good one of those in a while! My objective value... went up. Wow..." He snapped back to reality after a moment. "Um, thank you, DarkBoard. Uh... Say hi to Three for me if you can. I guess while I wait," he said as he, sat down on the ground, "I might as well... I dunno, socialize? Would you care for conversation? I know you talk to Three..."

"You are not comparable to Three." DarkBoard sounded almost amused. "Three wishes us to inform you that you now have indefinite permission to remain on the Academy's grounds during all holidays, and that your designation has been changed to Lucas in all Academy records. These records will be hidden to all outward correspondents, unless you choose to show them. We have nothing else to speak to you about at this time."

"Ah, well... Thanks." He blankly stared at the portal for a few moments, in pondering, before multiple things sunk back into him. For one, it was the middle of the night and he had singlehandedly ruined his sleep schedule for about a month at worst or best. He didn't know exactly how long his sleep schedule would be messed up like this, or if he would even be able to sort it back out. Secondly, Maedryn was... dead. And Three got DarkBoard back for hopefully good. Third, there were people Three mentioned that Lucas didn't know and he still had the messages for them that he would probably try to give back to Three at some point. Fourth- wait, seriously, how late was it?

"Hey, DarkBoard, do you have the time?"

DarkBoard didn't answer this time, but the screen lit up with the words LATER THAN YOU KNOW, followed a moment later by a much more useful 1.44am.

His eyes widened. "That late? Looks like I'm pulling an all nighter and a day for the next couple of days... maybe. If I want to stabilize it... hm. Ugh, whatever, I'll figure it out another time. DarkBoard... since Three's body is unconscious, would they be getting rest in a sense? Because if not, I'm going to invite them to stay up until we're exhausted and then until we both normally sleep... because misery adores company but I would hate to ruin whatever Three's schedule is."

"We are ensuring Three gets the rest required of a fragile flesh body." DarkBoard goes silent, turning their screens off, but after several moments they speak again. "...We are able to provide you with shots that greatly reduce or increase energy, if you require. Minimal side effects may occur."

[grey matter]

"Uh... I guess I'll take a few just to get me through to about... 9 or 11 tomorrow- er, today night. Wait- wait... what other kinds of shots do you have, if I may inquire? Only stuff I'd have access to, though..." he asked, curious for a certain reason.

A syringe and needle full of some blue liquid is dispensed underneath DarkBoard's screen. "You have access to whatever we decide you deserving of access to."

[grey matter]

"...Do I deserve testosterone? I should probably ask a doctor about that, but, uh... this could be easier... maybe... I don't know how it all works," he said, a little embarrassed not to know.

"Request approved." A second syringe is dispensed.
