As Lewry looked around, he realized he was starting to bore himself. He sighed as he felt his eyes droop a bit. It took him a few seconds to realize this before he shook his head in order to keep himself from dozing off. His newfound alertness caused him to draw attention to a familiar gamma making her way towards him. Lewry felt a grin come over his face at the thought of her presence. She was a kind soul he always looked up to when he became a hunter all those years ago. He waited patiently for her, knowing an entertaining conversation was certainly worth the short wait. As she approached him, she greeted him. He added and dipped his head to her out of respect before replying, "And a good morning to you. I am doing alrighty, could be better, could be worse. How about you?"
Lewry then heard a strange pop. He looked over at her slightly confused, wondering if the sound had somehow come from the older wolf.

Keltio

Kelt could not help but relax herself as she strolled through her pack's territory, down to the borders. The breeze was strong enough to ruffle her fur ever so slight, but not so cold that it blew right through her. It seemed that her remedy had worked once more: she was no longer plagued with those pesky thoughts of her past that flooded her mind ever so completely for the past day. Instead, she focussed her attention on picking up everything she could as she walked along. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary for the most part, that is, until she got close to the border itself. She crouched down just in case and continued moving along.

Baronne

"Well that is good to know," Baronne calmly replied to her answer. Now that he thought about it he could likely blame his strange sleeping schedule, but that was a thought to ponder over later. He then started to quickly ponder her next question before swiftly replying, "Ah, well, I'd much rather not. I'm usually the one who goes on a late night patrol more often then not, so I prefer to take it easy in the mornings."

Atlanta

Atlanta stepped under a heavy, low tree branch and trotted over to Ama, narrowing her eyes as the young Warrior came into view. She looked awfully annoyed, and there was dirt staining the edges of her muzzle; her claws appeared to have sunk into the soft forest floor, apparent from the traces of dead leaf and grass flakes. The Hunter tilted her head with a mild interest, and let her ears flop a little bit. Her eyes wandered over to the faraway trembling bush that appeared to be sheltering the frightened rabbit. She raised her soft snout and took a whiff. Young rabbit, doesn’t know what to do or where to run. A bit of blood somewhere on its body, reeking of coyote. Must have escaped; which means it’s hurt. “I would be more than happy to help.” Atlanta smiled and wagged her tail, happy she would have a huntmate. “It’s that little rabbit hiding pathetically in the bushes, yes?” She grinned a little wider and pointed to the shaking plant.

Aspen

Aspen snorted as her back popped loudly. “Oh, dear me. Pardon my spine, it’s always makin’ weird noises.” The old wolf huffed as she blinked, trying to focus on the young wolf. “I’m doing pretty swell, aside from waking up.” She attempted to hide her growing yawn but failed. She growled to herself internally at her bad manners. Thankfully, the Lead Hunter didn’t seem to mind. “I saw ya lookin’ a bit bored over here. Wondered if ya wanted company? And... perhaps a story?” Aspen grinned mischievously, her tail twitching back and forth in a little wag.

Kayla snapped around to face Coon, “Where do you propose we stop? Just stop and stand here in the middle of nowhere with no water or shelter? Stop being so immature and suck it up.” She huffed and stared at him, she too was tired but there was no reason to stop here, unless, she scented the air. “Do you smell that?” She looked around at her surroundings, “This is marked territory”.

Coon opened his mouth to begin arguing and then he smelled it too. He took a step closer to Kayla, still facing her, “A pack?” He questioned stupidly, earning a glare from Kayla. “We could just go around, unless you want to check it out?” He raised his head into the air, taking deep breaths.

Octavia turned her head towards the ground so that she could try and wake up more, or maybe it was just to clear the fatigue. “That’s a very good plan. Have a good morning” she nodded to him and swiftly got up to begin walking away for her morning hunt. “If... you want to talk more, let me know” she added.

"Oh pardon me, it is perfectly fine," Lewry replied, slightly embarrassed at how he had called attention to her bones. He then gave her a sympathetic nod at her response to his question before adding, "Ah yes, waking up. Always the worst part of sleeping. At least, that's what Baronne likes to say. I am personally indifferent."
Lewry then gave her a slightly confused look in response to what she said next. He couldn't help but agree with her, he sure was bored. Some company would certainly do him good. Without hesitation, he replied, "I would certainly love some company. I don't exactly have much to do as of now, so I suppose a story would be a nice way to pass the time. Do tell."

Keltio

As she inched herself closer to the border, Keltio started to get a better idea of what she was dealing with. She picked up the scents of what seemed like two unfamiliar wolves, loners most likely. She did her best to keep herself out of sight, seeing as she was most likely outnumbered but these loners. By moving closer, she found herself picking up trace amounts of their conversation. However, since she decided to stop at the actual boundary of her pack's territory, she was unable to hear much else aside from the occasional word or two.

Baronne

Baronne watched as she turned her hear towards the ground before once again wishing him a good morning. As she started to walk away, he was able to reply, "Thank you and to you as well. I wish you the best of luck on your hunt."
Once she was far enough away, Baronne then proceeded to find a nearby patch of shade to lay in.

Ama glanced back at the bush Atlanta gestured towards. The small rabbit that should have been in place of the dirt in her mouth was causing the bush to vibrate. She lowered her head and huffed at her own stupidity. ”I think it is.” Although if she was honest, she had no idea if it was the same rabbit, or even if it was a rabbit in the bush. She grumbled at the fact that her tracking was never as good as most wolves, but where she lacked in tracking and hunting she made up for in strength. This is why she was appointed a warrior however, apart from a hunter. Her eyes darted back at Atlanta, curiosity of how she tracked so well bubbled up. However, Ama never asked questions. Only did as she was told, and another growl from her stomach stopped her thought train.

Once she finished her little meal with her mother, she dipped her head and departed from the two. She glanced around her, watching all the action going on around her. Most of the wolves were either leaving camp to hunt or go patrol. While others stayed to work on their training, chat with others or recover from injuries. It pleased her to see how well her pack was doing, even though sometimes she questioned how well she was doing as an alpha.

The alpha’s eyes wandered over to one particular wolf, Quelie. Of course she could choose anyone to like, but something about Quelie was intriguing. She wasn’t sure what it was, but the fae always felt her heart race whenever she was around or talking to him. The white wolf walked her way over to the male and already felt her heart beat a bit. Aria cleared her throat and emotions before speaking. “Morning Quelie. How are you?” she asked, sitting her rump down.

The brute watched as his alpha walked away, and noticed where she was heading. He was curious as to why she was going to go speak with Quelie. Pushing the thoughts aside Enapay turned his attention back to the gamma in front of him and offered her a warming smile. “Any fun stories you have to tell? Especially of Aria in her younger years? What was she like as a pup?” he asked her, and of course he already knew, but he enjoyed listening to any new stories that the older delta had.


Most wolves wouldn’t want to listen, but Enapay enjoyed the stories and he loved hearing about all the adventures of both Rerina and Aria. Sometimes the old she wolf would speak of Aria’s father, who passed when Aria was very young. The hunter vaguely remembers the delta male that much but from the stories that Rerina would tell, he seemed like a wonderful wolf. No wonder Aria took her father’s death hard. He watched as the old wolf lifted her head and looked at the male before her.

Kayla rolled her eyes, “What would be the point of us out here travelling if we didn’t at least look.” She turned away from him again and looked into the trees. She took a few tentative steps forward, her ears perked and head low. “Just.... be quiet.” She muttered.

“You mean you don’t want me to YELL,” Coon replied in a sarcastic tone, raising his voice at the end of the sentence. He snorted as he trotted to catch up to Kayla, still making no effort to step quietly. He dragged his feet along as he followed At Kaylas hip. “You can’t possibly expect to just wander into their territory silently and just make yourself at home,” he muttered.

Octavia briefly paused to nod in Baronne’s direction before she continued out into the forest. She trotted quietly through the forest, making sure not to disturb the underbrush. She paused to sniff the air and caught the scent of potential prey. She made her way through the trees, weaving as she went before the scent grey stronger and she began to hunt.

Aspen put her belly to the ground, settling down to get as comfortable as possible. “Have you ever heard o’ the one where we hunted down the biggest elk in the forest?” Aspen blinked up at him, not exactly waiting for a response. “It’s not one of my stories I tell too often.” She smiled gently and looked out over the camp, as if remembering the times. “Long time back, when I was a Lead Huntress, me and a good bit of other Hunters were out searchin’ for something larger than rabbits for a feast, since the new beta had been appointed. We were out in the thick forest, and the leaves were all turnin’ shades of red, orange, and yellow. Autumn had arrived, and a chill in the air had settled down like a fog. So we were kinda hurrying, eager to get back to camp. One of my fellow Hunters caught a whiff of some elk, so we all immediately turned around to head towards that spot.” Aspen chuckled, wagging her tail a bit. “Little did we know that it wasn’ a group of elk, but one. Once we arrived to the meadow, we were all extremely surprised. The animal was HUGE.” Aspen’s eyes widened, helping to tell the tale. “It was larger than two grown male wolves standing atop each other. Its antlers were sharp and like tree branches, jutting out and ready to snag something up. His hooves were powerful, kicking at the ground and making a deeper hole every time they struck. The elk had already noticed us, but didn’t run away. Didn’t charge, either. It just stood there. Staring at us, as if it were a challenge. ‘Can we, um, call some Warriors?’ One o’ me huntmates asked, nervous. Of course, I thought- no, I knew, that we could take it down if we were careful enough. So I took a step forwards and gave my wolf a stern ‘no.’ Of ‘course, might not have been the best idea back then, but I was determined to prove our worth. Instead, I came up with a plan- a quite clever one, if I dare say so myself- and put everyone in order. We stayed silent for a long time, hopin’ the lone elk could stop thinkin’ we were there. Eventually, it lost interest and that was the time to strike. We sat there in silence, waiting for the best moment. And waiting... until..” Aspen’s voice trailed off, then quieted for a heartbeat. After a moment, she raised her paw swiftly and struck the ground, her eyes wide and jaw slightly open. “BOOM! We were off! I leapt into the brute’s back, weary of the antlers. My huntmates twisted under its legs, snapped at its flanks, and attacked the sides! It kicked! It struggled and yelped! I nearly got thrown off, but luckily the plan was near perfect. A huntmate tripped it, and another went for the throat as I flung it to the ground with a mighty heave. It was the wolf’s first kill, too, and a good one at that. His eyes shone with pride as he gripped the antlers in his mouth. We all had to help carry the animal, it sure wasn’t light.” She huffed, drawing up in breath. Aspen leaned back, apparently finished with her tale. “And that, my dear, it the story of when we brought back the greatest elk in the forest.”

Atlanta

Atlanta glanced at the Warrior’s growling belly with a slight amusement. She inhaled softly and took a step forwards. “That rabbit in the bush, it’s a young one. From what I can tell it’s slightly hurt, though I can’t be sure without seeing it.” She narrowed her eyes and flicked her ear. “It’s probably going to run as soon as we approach, so I say this: you will come around the bush, and block that empty trail giving way to the glade. It’s the best path the rabbit can run down to escape. I’ll come forth to this side, and scare it off towards you. It can’t exactly run any other way or else it’ll get stuck in more bushes and that will slow it down.” Atlanta shook her head. “Even rabbits aren’t that stupid.” She looked up at Warrior Ama, tilting her head slightly as waiting for confirmation.
