A silvery shadow moved under the water, and his paw darted out - and he yanked it back with a hiss. A silver, hard, barbed object was lodged in his foot, with a thin, clear line extending from it into the water. "What is this thing?" He spat, trying to pull it out with his teeth. His ears were flat to his head, and a growl rumbled in his through as he tried to remove it.

An idea came to her - she had to get her kits out of her den as soon as possible, or they would all be gone, into the dark. While she already knew where she'd be taking Axel and Thunder - the queen had no clue what to do with Fawn. The quietest, gentlest of the three, she had doubted that he'd do well in EagleClan or with Thunder. Now, though, now - the queen had a plan.
