I really love this guy's design !! The colours go amazingly together, and the yellow really complements the purples! I think the only thing design-wise that I'm not a fan of might be the type of striped markings on his back and back legs? Striped markings in general would go well but those ones in particular seem strangely sketch-y in appearance compared to how blocky the rest of the markings are in his design? Is the stripes were more solid they'd look super nice !
As for the backstory, the concept is super cute! The whole guardian thing is really sweet, as well as the paragraph about how he loves children. I think the downfall which is the main reason I subtracted a point is that it may sound a little stereotypical? Since he lives in Japan, was born under a cherry blossom, has a Japanese writing tattoo, etc. Those things together wouldn't be so bad, but I think the really loving ramen part brings it a step too far, perhaps? As well as this, I feel like you could incorporate some more character flaws, as he seems a little too perfect in his behaviours and personality! Nobody is ever perfect despite the fact that he is essentially a supernatural guardian, and I feel like going too far with his protecting isn't so much a character flaw as it is trying to make him seem even more excessively good, if that makes sense? Surely he's gotta have at least one thing that be isn't good at or that makes him a little more flawed, to make him more believable !
Other than that, a super cute character with a really nice design, and I especially like the concept that he can't be seen by bad people!
