Heathers is amazing, there's a good bootleg for it on youtube. 21 Chump Street is a really short musical, but I love it.
Dear Evan Hansen is one of my top favorites. I have the vinyl for it, I was really hoping to see that one. It does deal with sensitive topics though, including suicide (which the musical is about). Hamilton is my favorite, my family loves it too, pretty family safe depending on who you ask.
Waitress is cool (if you're older though)

I've never seen a broadway show/musical before, but I'm really into broadway shows/musicals, and all of the ones I've listed are ones I'd like to see.

hamilton is REALLY good, it's actually super educational. helped me ace a test in my ap class so yay

dear evan hansen is ALSO a good one, has a pretty equal mix of sad songs and upbeat songs (even if some are lies)

BEETLEJUICE IS SOOOO AMAZINGLY GOOD! i dissed it for months thinking that it was so stupid but then i finally listened to the whole soundtrack and I LOVE IT!! there is not a single song on there that i don't like, which is rare for me. It's so funny but also has a really nice message to it.

mean girls is good too and so is be more chill!!

HEATHERS OMG IS SOOOOO AWESOME and you can pretty much get the whole gist of the show thru the soundtrack

ok responding to myself a second time because my preferences in musical theater have changed so much since the start of the pandemic. my new favorite musical is the band's visit and my favorite play is indecent. if you're queer or jewish you should definitely watch indecent because it is REVOLUTIONARY

wicked is currently my favourite musical of all time. i saw it on the west end in february and i’ve been obsessed with it ever since.

i also very, very much love hairspray, hamilton, chicago, the prom, dear evan hansen, be more chill, mean girls, beetlejuice—there’s just so many good musicals i could give a giant list i swear.

Little Women is one of my all time favorites, too! I don't meet many people who are big fans of it c: I played Amy March in a production of it a few years ago. I might be auditioning for another production of it soon, actually!
