Mizaki can't help but admire Yura, even if the
waterbender doesn't like her. She's beautiful, regal, brave,
gentle, and a healer to boot, a profession that Mizaki's
always had a lot of respect for. She understands where
Yura's dislike is coming from, but she's determined to prove
to the waterbender that she's not like the rest of her nation,
and truly wants to help the rebellion's cause.

nikolaus, the earthbender. ✓
Nikolaus has earned Mizaki's sympathy (although she
doubts he would want it, especially from her) and her respect.
He's had a difficult life from the beginning, in no small part
because of the Fire Nation, but still managed to survive despite
everything, even teaching himself to become a skilled bender!
She likes the kind, patient nature she sees buried beneath the
judgement and bitterness, and would like to prove herself
trustworthy to him as well.

akio, the metalbender. Δ
Mizaki is impressed by Akio's unique skills, hardworking,
reliable nature, and how she's unafraid to voice her opinions;
the fact that she's managed to survive under difficult
circumstances has earned her Mizaki's sympathy and respect
as well. However, her callousness puts the firebender off
somewhat, and she's concerned that Akio's tendency to wander
away even when she shouldn't could make her a liability. All in
all, she seems like a bit of an unknown variable right now.

Kazu's the sort of person Mizaki wishes she could be.
Not only is he humble, empathetic, and hardworking, he also
grew up in the Fire Nation without subscribing to its dogma
and has always used his firebending to heal rather than harm.
She'd love to get to know him better! (Although, he seems
somehow familiar... Has she met him before...?)

Personality:
Hama is a pure embodiment of what royalty should act like. She is elegant, her movements, and even her speaking is filled with purpose. She is very proper and hardly ever raises her voice. Do not be fooled by her seemingly sweet demeanor. Out of all the royal children, she is probably the toughest of them all. She always competed with her brother, secretly of course as she was thought to not train with the boys. She even outmatched them sometimes. An eager heart, wanting to be her best in order to help her people the most. For a weak royal never did any good for their people. Her teachers taught her the traditional art of Earthbending. She soaked it up like a sponge, soon becoming near master level with her art. Her tough nature allowed her to be a talented bender. One might not even recognize Hama if they saw her doing royal duties after seeing her practicing her bending. A few things carry over regardless, she is one tough cookie. She will not hesitate to speak her mind, confrontation does not bother her, and she is very intense. She has her way to manipulate people to get what she wants. She never uses her status as an edge upon others. She does not like being entitled and will prove to anyone who doubts her why she can stand on her own without her family's name. After the death of her brother, one might have thought the princess part of her died with him. She had more of a temper and her drive to help fight in the war became overwhelming. She never stopped asking her parents for teaching her how to fight in the war. When they kept refusing she found her own way. It was only after that did her father secretly agree for her to go and fight. She thinks it's a popularity ploy. If a royal daughter is fighting the good ole fight then her father looks better. She doesn't really care. They both get what they want out of the agreement.

Hisory:
Hama was the first girl to be born in the royal family. She was the third and her two older brothers were pretty upset that they didn't get a brother. From a young age, she was taught nothing but the traditional way. While other young kids were able to live in the modern age she was sucked back into the old age. Hama was a natural though, a perfect daughter in her mother's eyes. When taught how to bend like everything else she was natural and always wanted more. She wanted to do more, learn more, be more. Her teachers, hesitant, taught her as much as they were allowed. She had a special connection with her bending and never waivered when learning. She wanted to be more than just a pretty princess, she wanted to be a force to be reckoned with. As she grew older she started to sneak out and spare with her older brothers. Eventually, her brothers came to truly love her and respect her as not only their sister but a talented bender. When the war started her two older brothers were sent off, she became the oldest child in the household, taking care of her younger siblings became her job. When word came in that one of her brothers was killed the princess part of her died. Clearly his title and power weren't enough, so she had to become better, greater than her brother in order to beat their enemy. A pretty face wasn't going to stop the fire benders from striking her down. No, she decided it was her turn to fight. She is not a fan of any firebenders, she is very hesitant about trusting them and even if she had to work with them she'd always have an eye on them. Waiting for them to take one wrong step so that she can have a reason to pummel them. Her trust for anyone who can bend fire is nonexistent at this point.

build from working in the factories. he is just one of many war-orphans b
orn in the slums of ba sing se and exploited for labor. his only defining tr-

in-depth for most of his life, jin considered himself a non-bender. he didn't have family to tell him of his heritage, so he n
ever assumed. he was more concerned with living day-by-day working in the factories, anyways, to be worried about such
frivolity. bending is to be blamed for much of the world's suffering, and partly to his parents' demise. perhaps for a long w
hile, he's had a negative view of benders until recently when he realized he could bend metal to his will. everything chan-
ged. since then, he's been developing his newfound powers to fit his new purpose of joining a little band of rebels.
