Thanatos

Thanatos listened to the conversation silently, eating the deer that had been brought to him. He flicked his ears as the experiment called Vodka called him a deer, but he didn't bother to correct the black creature. Shuffling his weight, he snorted, shaking his head to fight off the drowsiness that had accompanied the meat for some strange reason. Snorting again, he turned and inhaled deeply, drawing in the scent of the meat. A chemical scent laced the warm blood scent and Thanatos swore under his breath as he realized what had happened. "Great, more tests." was the last thing the elk said before the drugs took effect and his body sank to the ground.

Vodka snorted and looked back at the cat, eyes narrowing. "What you got against dogs runt?" he hissed, thrashing his tail around. Blood from the dead animal in front of him dripped down his chin and slid over the smooth surface of his teeth. He rumbled. "And you may as well put that attitude away. Them white coats don't like resistance." Vodka told her, rolling his eyes. This little creature thought she could just waltz in here and try to be the macho man of the whole facility. If anyone was the big man, it was him and maybe the black lioness down the isle.

The brute folded his paws over one another and stared at her boredly. "I got pride, but I aint got me nowhere since I've beens her Missy."

The ocelot rolled her yellow eyes, flicking her whiskers irritably. "You know nothing of me." She shrugged slightly, not willing to be dragged down to this dogs level. Obviously he must be some sort of canine, otherwise he wouldnt be so stupid; not to mention touchy. Turning away from Vodka slightly, and resting on her stomach, her paws tucked neatly under her, she glanced once, distastfully, at the food, before laying her head on her paws. They could shove it down her throat, if they wanted, but she was going to give them trouble. One way or another.

Vodka rolled his swirled eyes at 027. The creature wasn't anything special and his little speeches meant nothing. Well, not to him at least. The rest of the animals might have thought otherwise. The brute chuckled at his statement, which turned into all out laughter. "Save a life?!" he boomed. "Yeah right. Them white coats add more and more to their list, regardless if they gots room or not."

"I may be a lil crazy, but I aint dumb. You think your little stand offs and speeches are gonna gets you somewhere? Think again." Vodka finished and watched as a scientist went over to the elk creature and drugged him up. He snorted, licking his teeth. "And I trys to get out anytime I can, but so far, I aint earned myself nothing more then a few extra drug highs."

Yew gave a withering glare at the beast, "I can see why. You, my air-headed friend, are a total idiot. No wonder you stay in your little cage all day knawing on bones and insulting others." She snorted, rolling her eyes. True, it was a harsh thing to say, but she was so sick of this creature already! He was a total moron, who thought he was better than everyone, with nothing to prove for it. He was rude, crude, vile, and sadistic. Why did he have to be her cell mat?! Curling her spotted tail around her body, she curled up in the corner farthest away from Vodka, her gold eyes still on him, unblinking and stoic.

Vodka huffed at Yew. She was bothersome and annoying, but so far had proved to be the best entertainment he had seen in a long while. The brute stared at a spot on the wall in front of him, his collar chained to the ceiling prevented him from moving around a lot. The ankle chains weren't much help either. Vodka licked his teeth once again, drooling. He thumped his large fluffy tail and ruffled his thick mane, occasionally dragging his large claws loudly across the metal floor.

Thanatos

Just as Thanatos let his head hit the rubber matting beneath his hooves, a group of scientists hurried out pushing a large black cart. They opened the stall door and lifted the passed out animal onto the cart, securing him down. They then wheeled him out, passing the cages and kicking doors to scare the creatures within. One of them stopped, seeing the food still untouched in Yew's pen, and radioed in to the head scientist. "The ocelot isn't eating again. Should we prepare her for intramuscular feeding?" The radio sqawked back and the man nodded before wheeling Thanatos into one of the back rooms.

Vodka snickered as the scientists muttered something about Yew. She was in for it now. His shoulders quivered as he laughed, grinning in an evil way at her soon to be misery in failing at her goal to die or be taken back home. He looked over at Yew for a split second, then went back to giggling madly. Silly cat. They thought they could do anything.

Yew turned her golden gaze from the beast that was now chuckling like a mad hyena, to the human in front of her. Baring her sharp yellowish fangs at him her fur raised slightly. They are not going to touch me. She whispered to herself, her claws sheathing and unsheathing nervously and proudly with a glint and a clang every time they hit the metal floor of the cage. Shooting a glare at the barbaric black thing next to her, she decided it really wasnt even worth it. Canines thought they were invincible; and it was probably because only one thought ever even passed through their tiny little farts of a head at once. They only had enough brain power to comprehend one, and this dog obviously had his pinned. He thought he was better than her. He would see.

Vodka only laughed harder. She looked like a toilet brush, the way she was all puffed up. His laughter was a roar to the scientists, who covered their ears and told him to shut up. The beast didn't listen, however, and continued to cackle obnoxiously. Vodka was having a good old time with all of these new experiments. They were amusing, with their false hope and fluttery plans of escape. When would they get it? Vodka knew he'd never be able to go back to where he once was. He only tried to escape to anger the white coats. They were so easily frustrated! Plus, with years of being drugged up, the brute had developed a craving for the medicines that they'd force him to take. They created a mind numbing sensation that he happily accepted.

Yew hissed and laid back her ears on her head, his laughter too obnoxious. "Will you cut that out!?" She hissed at him, her eyes glittering with malice for the brute. "Have some respect for others like you, and leave us alone!" She snapped, tired of him laughing and snapping at her and all that. "I already know you have no manners, but just try to pretend to!" She sniped, lashing her tail, teeth bared.
