Embers saw Flitz plummet, and Yuki go down after her, and almost stopped beating her wings herself. Glancing anxiously at Queen Thorissia, she took off after them, descending in spirals. Before long, her breath started fogging as her hot forath body descended into the freezing temperatures. She knew she shouldn't be here, but she had to make sure her new-found friends were okay. But she couldn't fly any longer; the skin membrane of her wings was too stiff. She landed awkwardly on the ice, her claws skidding across the lsippery surface. They were used to digging into soft rock and cooling lava, not this odd ice sheet. Tucking her wings close to her body she tried to keep in her body heat. How did kallick survive here?

Flitz huddled in her cave, easily adjusting to the temperature-Day Four of disappearing.

Embers found a small cave where she huddled, and decided she had to go back to her native homeland or she would freeze to death, She wished she did have some embers here with her now.

As Yuki flew more inwards into kallick territory taking a full day, she saw signs of preparation for another battle. She banked sharply and dropped towards the icy mountains. She did not want to be drafted into the army. Hopefully no one saw her. She weaved her way around the mountains and kept looking back to see if anyone followed. Her eyes widened, as she spotted two pretty large warrior kallick dragons giving chase, yelling for her to stop and get geared up for another battle. She frowned but had to stop so as to not raise suspicion that she wasn't entirely loyal to Apollo.

(Yuki, You're near Flitz's cave.)
(Omg, Flitz's fifth day of disappearing.)

Flitz huddled over something, whimpering slightly.
She froze when she heard wingbeats, and voices yelling about battle. She smelled Yuki, but there were other scents, too. As Flitz picked up the object and hid at the back of the cave, she involuntarily whimpered, the sound carrying down the cave.

(Yuki, it was so quiet that no guard heard it. But if Yuki was sufficiently listening, she should be able to pinpoint the whimper.)

(let me roll my d20, a 20-sided dice. Huzzah! It's a 16!)
Yuki turned around to face the 2 warriors. The suspense and silence was deafening, at least to her. She heard a quiet echoing whimper nearby. She told the warriors, "I've just one quick thing to do first before battle but I'll come and get geared up after. Whereabouts is the army heading?" they replied, "erath." They flew back to the army camp.

'Whew, I'm glad they didn't forcefully take me right away,' she thought. 'Now to find the source of the whimper.' She flew around, trying to find a cave hidden in the mountains. She found an odd formation hidden near one of the mountain walls. She searched the skies for a dragon, but couldn't find any. She flew over to the entrance and spoke, "Hello? Anyone in here?"

The next morning Embers woke up, stretched her frost covered wings, and clawed her way out into the weak sunshine. She was a reptile, therefore coldblooded, and had to warm up fist in the sun to get her blood moving. Besides, she was used to much much warmer temperatures in her native home, so it only takes a few minutes. It could take a few hours here.

Flitz moved her conciousness outside. (Third "eye", basically.) "Hmm, the guards left. Now Yuki will be trying to pinpoint me. Flitz inspected the object she was huddled over. Satisfied it was okay, Flitz lightly called, "Yuki! You'll never guess!"

Yuki heard Flitz's voice echo along the icy cave walls. Furrowing her eyebrows and tilting her head slightly in confusion, she ventured inside quickly. Her claws found enough purchase for her to move at a pace faster than a walk on the icy floor. She asked, "Flitz? I have no idea what I'm supposed to be guessing at. What happened? Did you find something interesting?"

(Flitz has shrunken to half her size lately. Clueing you in, and Flitz is also a very convincing liar about her intimate happenings. Hint Hint.)

Flitz stood in front of the object. She wasn't ready to reveal it yet. "Yuki, guess."
