Different kind of Joke

I clearly must be a joke.
I must be a Joke because..

I waited for so long,
I often let my feelings get the best of me..
and put others to much before me.
I thought I could be strong,
I was always in search of the key..
to life, I mean
and not once tried to disagree to me or my thoughts, not even to a certain degree.

I always put my hardest parts in writing
I try to understand people,
maybe sometimes too much.
I always put myself in the worst lighting.
I sometimes see myself as a joke too,
but that just has to be stuff that everyone is going trough.
That's what I tell myself anyway when I'm in the dark, searching for another way.

I must be a Joke because you wrote me today,on this day of all days.
I must be a joke because I still care.
I must be a joke because you showed me your selfishness over and over again and yet...
I must be a Joke because you're still there.
I must be a Joke because of the feelings that I get.
I must be a joke because some part of me still believes you.

I am a Joke.. I am a Joke to you.
