10/10,, we have no choice but to stan
really though, I love the balance of serious actor and absolute dweeb, and his personality's definitely reflected well in his design. His costume and his normal clothes work well with zacian's design and look great! no complaints from me lol. I would definitely want to see what you do with him, his personality seems very likeable, and it seems like he gets into some shenanigans

my girl ai? everything's by mochike on th/da. I'd love some crit on her story/personality, it's pretty bare bones right now, but I'm trying to flesh it out a little!


I'm thinking of putting her in a retro, lovecraftian/cosmic horror setting, with a lot of inspiration from the game World of Horror and Junji Ito's works. she's a popular late-night radio host, with a large following that often calls in for requests or other segments, with a lot of her popularity coming from her sense of humor, finger on the pulse of current events, and her personability with callers. she's much more confident on-air than she is in person, and she's glad that she can maintain her private life because most people don't know what she looks like. I imagine she'd get some weird callers on air/have some weird technical difficulties, and report on weird things happening in her city before taking on a sort of investigative role. she loves obscure/old technology/video games, and is really handy when it comes to fixing or using old tech.

while the design isn't really in line with my personal preference, I can see how much effort went into it and the quality she has. The idea is very fun and gives me a bit of a Welcome to Nightvale vibe. I can imagine there would be a lot of awesome stories coming from a character like her. I would say, go for it! I have heard a lot of stories from the perspective of normal investigator/radio host/ect. dealing with an abnormal world that I have loved unconditionally. It's a genre that you can never go wrong in.

Cassiel grew up in a cult of angels. While not actually religious creatures, angels are just people with wings. But, due to the folklore surrounding them and the inherent powers, cults surfaced where angels tried to be "messengers of god." Cassiel was named after the angel of temperance and was expected to be perfectly calm in his emotions. He ended up snapping after decades of pent up anger and killing another cult member. The cult cursed him so that half of his skin turned to stone (the feathers and hair are merely encased in stone). Cassiel is forever cursed to exist half in a perfectly calm state, and half angry and in pain.

Heck! I usually dont tend to like human characters so much but this guy.. I adore back stories like his and the explanation behind him is just... so wonderfully done. I love his simple design that fits with his story so well. It's so simple yet you can see from just skimming over him that he's been through a lot and suffered much. Personally, not a design I would have myself but I do love him and the story you've come up with for him. However, the green shirt doesn't really work with me? Maybe a different colour would work better such as a maroonish red? Overall a wonderful character that you've planned out very well!

How about my guy, Katsuro?

His back story is... very large. So I'll avoid pasting it all aha. Would love if someone could read a small chunk of it or all of it and gave me creative criticism on how I can improve it or if it makes sense <3 thank you! Drawn by @malaise here on cs

A happy kind of guy, Katsuro spends his days strolling the streets of Japan and smelling the blossoms. He enjoys sitting underneath blossom trees and watching them sway in the wind and fall off the branches. Katsuro's a positive person and does anything in his power to help people who he thinks deserves it. He's a pretty sensitive guy, getting emotional over small things or if he's shouted at, his intentions are never bad and mostly he just wants to give people happiness. He's quite shy when meeting new people. However, something special about Katsuro is that he's a good spirit, you will only see him if you yourself are a good person and he deems you worthy of his presence.

Katsuro loves strolling about at night underneath the Japan sky, he loves the shimmering stars and spends his time making sure people and children out late at night don't get harmed. He protects them and his presence gives them comfort if they're paranoid or lost. He makes sure if little kids are lost that he quietly guides them back to their parents, without getting spotted by any adults. Katsuro absolutely LOVES ramen noodles... that's the one thing that could most likely be his downfall. He loves little kids and how interested they are in his blue horns, he also loves their happy energy and how they give him the biggest hugs. Katsuro has a good nature and caring personality, he doesn't want harm on people who he believes are truly good human beings. He's mostly a night owl rather than a morning person. He loves seeing Japan light up at night and protecting people he cares about. He's a protective, good spirit, and again, you will only ever see him if he believes you're worthy of it. If he feels you're a bad person, you'll never see him.

He supposedly doesn't have any super powers, but he can and will from time to time control water to protect himself or others from harm... however this power of his is limited, if he goes past his physical and mental ability he will be in severe pain and possibly almost die doing so, he's reached this quite a few times and has yet to learn when to stop, so he tries to avoid it as much as he can. When he controls this ability of his you can tell, as his tail has a blue liquid on the tip and his horns spill blue liquid, both his tail and horns will glow, as well.

8/10 Unfortunately, the words are too small for me to be able to read so I'll be rating on design. Overall, I love his palette and choice of design. They meld well together, and contradict each other, but in a good way that's pleasing and easy on the eyes. My only small problem is the water horns(?) and at the end of his tail, along with the pattern of the tail looking awkward compared to the more major purple that makes up Katsuro since it stands out a lot in my eyes.
The Asian symbols on his legs are a very nice and unique touch, along with his checkered bandanna that I think fits in well. Remove the water parts and maybe changing the white parts of the stripes on his tail to the light purple of his body, and I could probably call Katsuro a slight dreamie of mine.

Lucid? By Shinamire

The product of a individual from a unpleasant visit to the ophthalmologist, Lucid sprung to life and proceeded to run off into the world to make a living. She's well known for being an observer of others, and capable of causing hallucinations with the big eye that makes up the majority of her head (yes, she can blink to keep it moist). Power aside though, Lucid is completely harmless and more curiosu about the life around her, wanting to discover then try and make enemies.
Due to her wings being formed backwards, she prefers walking more then flying. When Lucid does fly though, it's always backwards. She has a hard time flying straight, hence sticking to the ground.

First off, this isn't a design I would like or try to obtain, but other than personal preferences, I can't see anything that would dock points from a design standpoint. I love balanced neon colors on characters and the way it was colored I can tell there is a lot of thought into colors, with the green being bordering on pastel, the stripes being darker, and the yellow being the brightest color but only used as accents.

This is Shepard. He is an animated immortal scarecrow. He was created with no emotions or any knowledge of his purpose, but he learned that he could gain the ability to feel certain emotions by being put in situations where he would feel the emotion to the most extreme extent (i.e. a person he cares about dies, he can now feel grief.) His eyes change colors with his emotions with white being the "neutral state." His purpose is to gain enough emotions to become fully sentient and humanlike.

10/10 I honestly think this is the first ever time I've seen a scarecrow character, so it's instantly a 10 from me.While fully neutral/natural colors aren't usually a big favorite of mine, here they match well and design is very fitting, and I love the addition of grass/hay erupting out of different areas of his body.
Another thing I adore about Shepard is the overall biography from the snippet that's provided. I just like it so much, and the tidbit of him wanting to be more akin to humans is honestly kind of adorable.
If I saw this guy, I would definitely like to try and befriend him, though it would probably be kind of hard with how he is. Regardless, I could call him a dreamie character.

I have yet to develop her fully, but so far she's a highly eccentric and social Tyranosaurus Rex who adores going to parties, especially those that have a Disco theme to them. Holly is a "oldies" girl at heart, with a hobby of collecting retro/vintage items from the 70's, no doubt she has a big collection of various records from popular musicians back then.

8/10 ah, what a unique character! Usually I’m not a fan of anthro reptiles but it really works in this situation! I love how much personality she has, and I really like her color scheme! I’ve never seen a t-Rex character so this is super cool haha

I'm definitely one for emo-looking dogs, haha! I know many people don't like dogs with hair but it has never bothered me and I have many characters like that! ^^
I'm not much a fan of the colour scheme on this character, as the orange-y brown isn't my taste, and the black spot on the ear is a bit distracting for some reason, but the character is super cute and I love her pink nose matching her hair! The colour complements the green eyes nicely : )

quite like this guy! simple, yet not too bland that he's not unique! love his cute little hat and his accessories. i'd love to hear more about how he turned from someone emotional to stern and unexpressive. overall a very cute deisgn that i'd love to own. the one thing that throws me off is the arrow on his back and the stripes on his legs! I'm unsure if theyre needed but still, a very good design in general :>

Backstory

He was taught that people are good, but there are some that aren't so good. His parents told him that his role was to protect the good, and make sure they are safe. He's known as the "good spirit" because whenever people are lost or scared, people will feel his presence and instantly feel safe and comforted. He comforts the ill and sick as well, giving them energy and giving them a little bit more strength to push through. Katsuro will only ever show himself if he feels as if he needs to, such as if there's and attack or he feels like he trusts someone enough to do so. Of course, with this much of a responsibility comes with a lot of stress and danger. Katsuro's gotten into many sticky situations protecting good people from bad people, such as getting stabbed and beaten up, however he never gives up a fight till he knows they'll back off and leave him and other's be. His heart's in the right place, but sometimes he doesn't think before stepping in. All he wishes is for humans to get along with each other, but he know's that'll never truly happen. He can't always protect everyone and comfort everyone. He's currently a single pringle, so currently he wants to be able to do as much as he can before passing, if he never finds a mate. He continues to push through everyday and night to help as many people as he can, for the greater good. He quietly roams the streets of Japan with his yellow paws shining. Many people already know him and allow him to roam. He's a guardian, and will continue to protect till the day he dies. Now isn't that a good boy, hey?
