Shayta took one last glance at the wolf and took off, unsheateing her daggers as she did so. Grant had run off this way...ah! There he was. She skidded to a stop just behind him, suprised to see another mouse there. "Nicole?" Shayta had seen her around once or twice. Why was he out here? For that matter, why were she and Grant here? Well, because Grant was being an idiot. That's why.

"Hey Nicole." He said, unable to back out of her face due to her being ontop of him on the ground. "Now get off of me, there is a wolf around here that I want to get killed by." He smirked, knowing Nicole, she probably knew that he was just trying to get Shayta mad.

"Oh! That's why is smells like wolf over here!" She said thoughtfully. "I wasn't thinking..." Nicole said getting off of him, blushing a little. "Hello!" She really didn't bother to address the mouse infront of her, she had never talked to her. She looked down at Grant, and said, "Can I come and get killed with you?"

"Hi." Listening to Grant, and now Nicole, Shayta felt momentarily tempted to slap herself in the forehead. "Well, if you're so dead set on getting yourselves killed, let's go. We can drive the wolf off, at the very least." Not bothering to wait for Grant's reply, Shayta leaped off into the underbrush. She'd followed her annoying patrolmate all day; let him follow her now.

The cut on his arm was really starting to bother him now. Shayta was already off into the woods, she looked determined to go after it. After she was out of hearing range from the two he sat up and looked to Nicole. "We should leave her here. Get her more fusterated." he said with a laugh. "Plus I'm a little tired." With that he got up and dusted the dirt off of him. With out waiting for Nicole he started to walk back to the town, quickly.

With out saying a word or looking back, she ran to catch up with Grant. The scent border was pretty close by now, at the speed they where going. "Sooo..." She said with a teasing voice. "You so like that girl!" She poked him teasingly. "She was very pretty. I love her white coat!" She said thoughtfully, looking at the ground.

He shruged. "I don't know. Probably not, I mess with her to much. I bet you she hates me." He said with a laugh. "But I do like lighter coats like silver and white." This wasn't a lie, what would he gain in it? Changing the subject her said "So are you hungry? We could go and take some fruit from some of the stands in the market place. And if you want we could go back to your place."

Nicole blushed a little. "Yeah, I could eat. But you see, I've been growing a garden, and it's grown so much. I won't be able to eat all of the food that has grown with out it going to waste." She explained. "Though it would be fun to make a old farmer mad." She grinned, they where always to old to chase after them! It was to funny!

"Nah, maybe later. You do have food and what would be the point in getting more tired?" The farmers where known to throw things at them while they where runing away. He did enjoy the fun of them trying to catch the, just like Nicole. "I need to take care of this cut to, before it gets infected. I guess it was just lucky that you have food. By the way where do you live?" He asked, he had never seen Nicole's house. He has heard about it from her, but he has never seen it.

Shayta stood still, every sense alert for the wolf. It's musky scent was faint, trailing eastward, accompanied with the scent of blood. She waited for a moment before sheathing her daggers. It must've have left, then. "Li!" She whistled.. The swallow, who had been fluttering about the entire time, dropped down beside her. Climbing onto his back, Shayta burried her face into his feathery shoulders. "Let's go home."

T'sagi perched on the low, thick limb of the oak, staring at the two young mice who were passing by beneath him. The idiots; what where they doing out beyond the Border? Either they were lost, or else just hopelessly foolish. Either way, he wasn't too keen on them being here; this particular part of the woods belonged to him and his band. T'sagi lept off the branch, landing lightly on the ground, paws smarting from the impact. He crossed his arms and stared at them. "Lost or foolish?" He growled.
