Prompt: What is your starters view on love?
Characters: Conch | Murkrow | He/Him
Love is an important part of living. Conch wasn't going to deny that he had a love for many things; flying, helping others, the occasional book. But he also acknowledged that love was a very broad term.
His love of flying, for instance, stemmed from his enjoyment of the activity. He adored the wind whistling through his feathers, the view of the land below as he floated effortlessly above all terrains.
His love for Sherbert, his companion and best friend, was a very different type of love. He loved seeing him smile, loved the warm feeling that blossomed in his chest when his friend blabbered excitedly to him. Loved the soft moments they both shared, the unspoken understanding that they would always be by each others side.
There was also the more common idea of love, the love for a significant other. Not that Conch had experienced this love, but he was certain, for some, that it was as important and fulfilling as the kinds he was familiar with.
Why is love important though? Conch wasn't sure for the longest time, but recently he understood. It's the purest form of emotion, affection and the undeniable safe feeling. What else is there, if not emotion? How would one feel at home without love?
For Conch, a life without love isn't a life at all.

Prompt: Pan's entry piece
Characters: Pan | Dratini | She/Her, Conch | Murkrow | He/Him, Sherbert | Trapinch | He/Him (mentioned)
Pan dripped the end of her tail into the tub of paint as she squinted at the canvas before her. Something about the piece was a little off, but she couldn't quite tell what it was. The work before her was a portrait of Sherbert, the curious Trapinch that she spent most of her days with. It was supposed to be a thank you piece for teaching her the ropes, but she couldn't give it to him in this state.
She raised her tail to the canvas and added a few strokes of the gorgeous orange paint Conch had brought back for her.
Perhaps the body was too small?
She whipped her tail around a little more, slowing growing the recognisable shape of Sherbert. Done with the orange, Pan dipped her tail into the water bucket and wiped it on a towel placed beside it. Then, she placed her tail into the red paint, giving it a gentle mix, then added the bow and glasses to her artwork.
She jumped as she heard the tapping of an approaching pokemon, preparing to hide the painting if Sherbert were to enter. Luckily, it was a Murkrow with strange goggles on their eyes that hopped in the room.
"Hey Pan!" Conch greeted, bouncing his way over to her, "How's the painting coming along?"
Pan smiled at the peppy bird and moved away so that he could see it.
"Woah!" Conch pulled his goggles off of his eyes and onto his head, "That's Sherbert alright! That's awesome."
Pan felt the pride well in her chest as she looked bashfully at the ground, "Thanks Conch. That means a lot."
Conch, knowing that Pan was a little cautious about touch, gave her a feathery thumbs up. "He'll love it, I'm sure."
He gave her one last smile before hopping to the table in the room that was designated for Conch's deliveries. Pan looked back at her piece, suddenly very proud of it. With the last bit of red paint still dripping from her tail, she signed it.

Prompt: This pokemon makes even felons afraid! Help us apprehend this wrongdoer! Arrest Beartic (400 words) at the Secret Bazaar (Market)
Characters: Murphy | Rockruff | He/Him, Pan | Dratini | She/Her
"I didn't know this place existed." Pan said, awed as she followed her Rockruff companion down a dingy alleyway lined with stalls.
"Your type generally doesn't." Murphy replied as he pushed through the tightly knit crowd of Pokemon, tossing glares at those who stepped too close.
"My type?" Pan spluttered, shying away from a large Taurus blocking one of the stalls, "I'm not sure if that was a compliment or an insult."
"Take it however you like."
Pan sighed with a slight grin, shaking her head but slinking closer to Murphy. Just in case.
With their unique training as Postal Pokemon, their ability to locate a specific Pokemon was often sought after. Braviary, a common client, needed a Beartic located and arrested. This place was the last known sighting.
"See anything?" Murphy asked, turning to glance at Pan. She was certainly nervous about coming here, but her artistic eye was always good at spotting things his couldn't. He'd make sure she'd be fine.
"Not specifically."
The Rockruff stopped in his walking, fully turning to face the Dratini. A few Pokemon grumbled and shouted about the sudden stop in flow, but a threatening growl from Murphy hushed their complaints quickly.
"Not specifically?" He repeated, "Even if you think it's nothing, you should tell me."
"Okay... well," Pan turned to look towards a stall that seemed to be selling medicinal herbs, "there's a tuft of white fur sticking out of one of the boxes over there. But it could be any pokemon-"
"Let's check it out."
Pan nodded and followed Murphy towards the stall, cautiously glancing around as if the dangerous Beartic would just appear.
The stall wasn't anything too special. A bunch of wooden boxes acted as makeshift tables, and the herbs strewn haphazardly on their surfaces. A Leavanny grinned as they approached and beckoned them into their stall.
"Welcome!" They greeted pleasantly, sweeping their arms over their goods, "anything of interest? Can I help you-"
"Actually," Murphy interrupted, plastering a soft smile on his maw, "we're looking for a friend of ours. He's a Beartic, about the height of that box there." he pointed to a pile of boxes nearby.
"Oh!" Leavanny nodded enthusiastically, "yes, yes! He bought some herbs from me not ten minutes ago!"
"Do you know which way he went?" Murphy asked calmly.
"I think he went down that side alley over there, maybe he was hoping to find you?"
"I'm sure you're right," Murphy stuck another odd smile onto his face, "thank you so much. You've been so much help."
Murphy led Pan away from the stall, the Leavanny waving as they wandered off.
"I was right?" Pan was dumbfounded. She hadn't expected to be good at this sort of thing.
"You were right." Murphy confirmed, giving her a genuine smile. He was glad she was beginning to see her worth.
The duo wandered to the edge of the side alley and glanced in. There the Beartic stood, leaning against the grimy, graffiti covered walls. He didn't seem to be paying them much mind.
"That was easy," Murphy chuckled, nudging Pan out of the Pokemon's line of sight, "we should give the signal to Braviary."
Pan nodded, a confused but prideful look on her face as she grabbed a torch from her travel bag. She flickered the light in a special pattern, knowing that one of Braviary's agents was following them. A Rufflet appeared from in the crowd and flew out of the alley to inform Braviary, leaving Murphy and Pan to guard the criminal.
They didn't have to watch for long. In less than three minutes Braviary arrived and, after a brief scuffle, arrested the Beartic. Braviary gave a quick thumbs up to Pan as the Rufflet's began scouring the scene for evidence.
Pan beamed at the small amount of praise as Murphy handled the payment arrangements.
"Time to head home," He grunted when he returned to Pan, "you did a great job today kid. You should be proud."
"Thank you." Pan mumbled, giddily following her companion back to base.
