Middle Ground High was created after a long harsh war between the angels, demons, and humans known as the Last War. All sides had received heavy casualties and it seemed as if no one was winning. If none of the sides gave in, all three races would be wiped out, leaving the earth a world of ruin and death.

With barely any more citizens to spare, the war came to a halt and the great leaders decided to try this so called "peace". To start, they built a school for their children in hopes that the newer generations could mend what they had broke... or so they said.

However, underneath all the smiles and alliances, and hidden behind the gestures of peace, each race is planning to seize the moment once they regain their strength. And what better way than a school set in the center of all three territories.

You have been invited to attend the very first year of Middle Ground High no matter your race or background.
This is a privilege and should not be taken lightly.
Dorms and living necessities are to be provided by the school to all students.

Hey everyone! Side note here: things will play out as a highschool RP but as things progress to a point, the governments will try and take drastic measures to ensure their own dominance among the other races. At this point, students will have to band together to find a way to solve this.

𝔻𝕖𝕞𝕠𝕟𝕤

Their ancestors were formless
dark spirits capable of taking a physical
form should they choose to. However,
Demons themselves are locked into a
physical form that resembles a human
save for the physical outliers such as
horns, bat like wings, tails, and other
odd physical formations. Some Demons
may not have as many of these traits
if any. However, all demons have pitch
black irises, in which some may
choose to wear contact lenses.

Demons are stronger than the average human.
They have more stamina and they pack on
muscle faster and more easily. They can
also teleport short distances
from shadow to shadows(which means
at night they can teleport almost anywhere).

They can also inherit one of the following abilities:

- flight (physically has wings)
- heightened senses
- fast self-healing
- transform into a hell hound
(basically a dog of any breed
that is larger and stronger
than the average breed)


𝔸𝕟𝕘𝕖𝕝𝕤

Unlike the stories you may have heard,
these angels are not the ones that stand
beside God. They are as mortal as the
next creature, the only difference is their
wings and abilities. However, they are
capable of "vanishing" their wings should
they choose to, meaning they cannot fly
for that time being and their wings are
not visible or physically there.
The one trait that will always be there
is the gold ring around their irises.

All angels have the ability to fly and are
stronger than the average human. Angels
have more stamina and have quicker
reflexes and a shorter reaction time.

They can also inherit one of the following abilities:

- fast self-healing + healing others
- heightened senses
- produce light
(the light is produced from themselves
and cannot be moved to another object
or being. The intensity of the light
depends on the experience of the angel.
High intensity can temporarily blind others,
other angels included).

ℍ𝕦𝕞𝕒𝕟𝕤

What some might consider to be the least superior compared to the other two races. However, humans have survived this long due to their wits and ability to adapt. Although they are the simplest of the three, humans have created enhanced accessories that can do one of the following:

- allows user to become invisible
- temporary force field
(lasts 5 seconds upon activation, recovers after a minute, surrounds the user completely and is impossible to penetrate with a weapon)
- endless bag
(capable of containing an unlimited amount of items and weighs barely anything)

(the accessories can be anything, except for the endless bag... it's just a bag.)
Note: Human characters can have as many accessories as they want

1. all CS rules apply
2. post all out of character posts in the discussion thread
3. no power playing (3 warnings and then you're out)
4. no romance between your own characters
5. try to keep the number of each gender balanced
6. remove your signature when posting
7. type at least one paragraph per post
8. be ACTIVE! if you are going to be away, let us know

Rules that CAN be broken

1. No violence on school grounds unless it
is with strict supervision and for learning purposes
2. No weapons allowed on school grounds
3. Do not illegally trespass on another race's
territory
4. All classes are mandatory

This is different from most roleplays:

The flow of time in the roleplay will follow as real life time flows. This will allow events such as tournaments and such to occur along with just daily interactions.

This means:

Every monday is a new day.

You have the week to play out the day, this does not mean you have to role play through every hour of the day, you can do time skips such as "lunch flew by and before he/she knew it..." or "she/he said their goodbyes and spent the rest of their day studying...".

Since this is the first time an RP is trying to keep in real time, we'll adapt as we go if things don't work out. If events do occur, time paces may change to accommodate more action and interactions.

The school is built upon a cliff with a courtyard facing off the cliff.

The Angel territory is is in the direction of the cliff (East). They live in mountains and higher up ranges which is easily accessed by anyone with wings. They also have guards surrounding their borders.

The Human territory is facing the school's main entrance (South West). Their society lives on the surface of the ground but has a large force field surrounding their territory. Those with passes (citizens and guests) are the only ones that can pass through.

The Demon territory faces the school's large gym/arena (North West). They live mostly under ground but has the occasional building structure that's visible above ground. Their whole territory is covered by a huge cloud allowing their citizens to teleport with ease. They also have guards stationed around their borders.

Despite the ancient architecture of the main school building, the world they live in is fairly developed in terms of electronics and building structures. The leaders that built this building decided to create this in remembrance of the world they are supposedly leaving behind.

Dorms





Despite the ancient and antique structure of the school, the living space itself is fairly modern.
Dorms are located just South of the main building. Girls have the building to the left while guys have the building to the right. Each building contains rooms with 4 beds and a main lounge area. The lounge area contains; a large flat screen TV, a pool table, and a gaming set.



Arena





The arena is located North West of the main building and is contained in a dome. Landscape is changeable to suit whatever needs. The arena is only open to classes and events.
