"Come on, Marigoldpaw, so they don't leave us behind," Fogsprint mewed, nodding his head towards the patrol. He waited for her before bounding back up to the rest of the patrol. "At this rate we really should get going," He mewed amusedly, "Before we take the entire clan with us." He followed Hawkeye and the rest of the patrol out of camp, turning to watch Marigoldpaw for a moment.

"No," Puddlespring agreed. "You did a good job though. And there will be plenty more. Keep up the good work." She mewed, giving Littlepaw a friendly nudge. "I'll go off as well, see if you can catch anything else." Then she crouched down, scenting the air and listening for any signs of movement. She caught a whiff of squirrel, but it was probably tucked up in a tree. She stalked towards it anyway, getting ready to climb up the tree if needed.

Yewbriar frowned at Blossomcloud as she scratched. "If all the apprentices are out, I can go bother Gingerleaf for some mouse bile if you need. Here just, let me see." He mewed, rolling back onto his belly and then standing up and padding over to her.

Rainpaw padded alongside Foxcloud until they reached the pool, pointedly ignoring both Leopardpaw and Featherpaw since they had upset her. When her mentor said they should split up and hunt, she nodded, immediately scenting the air and crawling off into the trees. She scented a chipmunk, and flexed her claws in anticipation. A chipmunk would be a good catch! The small apprentice crouched lower and stalked towards it.

she was stopped by fogsprint inviting her on a patrol. with a mournful glance at a particularly plump mouse, she turned away and followed her mentor to join the others.

in his haste, he didn't notice the scent of other cats growing closer. beau froze in place, looking down to see five or so cats several fox-lengths from the tree he was in. he met the eyes of an older female, pondering what to do. slowly, he made his way down the tree, landing with a loud thump alerting the rest. he noticed the youngest ones bristle in anticipation of a scrap and stopped, a few feet away from the group, muscles tensed slightly. the molly he spotted earlier began to speak, although the statement confused him slightly. "your territory?" he paused he realized he had found what he'd been searching for. he hadn't ever really thought of what he'd do if he found the wild cats, in all honesty he didn't really believe they were real. beau stared at the older female, waiting for further instruction.

He put down the mouse and hid it underneath some dirt so he'd be able to come back for it later and not worry about the scent attracting any predators. He tasted the air and smelled a different squirrel to the one PuddleSpring was going after and he began following after the scent.

Embershine had entered the hollow that made up PineClan’s camp. The warrior’s amber eyes scanned around the camp to see who was still there as she made her way over to the fresh kill pile. She noted that there was only a few visible cats in sight right now and concluded that Vixenbite had sent out the morning patrols already. Embershine dropped the prey into the pile and went to a nice spot to groom herself. She would have took the prey over to the elders or queens but there was none around at this moment in time. Settling down from her morning hunt, the warrior began to groom her slightly damp and messy fur while lazily gazing about the camp.

The she-cat had stayed out late last night and had accidentally slept in this morning. Embarrased she quickly cleaned up her coat and hopped out of the warriors den. Her brother, Rabbitfur was no where to be seen so she assumed he must be out already. She headed for the exit to make herself useful when she picked up the elder's conversation. Turning back around she walked up to Blossomfall. "Good morning Blossomfall, Yewbriar." She dipped her head respectively glancing at them both with her one eye. "I can grab the mouse-bile quick if you'd like?" she offered cheerily.

Lionstar stretched out in his nest. He felt awfully lazy being inside his den all day. He seemed to be healing quickly though the Eagle attack would leave scars across his body. Rolling onto his paws he carefully tested his shoulder that had been giving him the most trouble. He would still limp slightly and not yet be quick enough for hunting but a walk might do him good. He left the quiet of the den just as his noisy brothers came barging back into the camp.

Shadowhop carried his prey in his mouth and panted out of the side of his mouth as he sprinted through the forest. Two heavy warriors were right on his tail but unable to keep up with his quicker speed. His long legs shot out under him and his tail streamed out behind him. He dashed through the tunnel entrance to camp and was almost to the fresh-kill pile and his victory when something snapped onto his tail. "OW!" he let out a yowl dropping his fat blackbird.

The sound of bounding paws drew the warrior's attention to the camp's entrance and she slightly tensed up in case there was an trouble about to happen. Instead, familiar pelts dashed through as some of her fellow warriors raced into camp with prey hanging from their jaws. She watched on while relaxing again, immensely curious at the scene before she realized that a friendly competition was going on between the brothers. Raggedkill had rushed past his two distracted brothers and had beat them to dropping the prey into fresh kill pile. Embershine couldn't help but let out a soft mrrow of amusement when Raggedkill then promptly proclaim that Mudsplash and Shadowhop will have to make him new nest. Despite the slightly tense times between the stress of the clan and the injury of Lionstar, it was a nice sight to see. "Congraulations on a race well-run."" Embershine called over to the tom when she noticed him looking a little ashamed.

When the three brothers had returned from their patrol, her ears perked up as she listened to them. She let out a laugh before she sat up contently. She had her eyes a bit on him for awhile - feeling possibly a bit of a crush going but she felt guilty for even feeling that way as her former mate had passed.

With his apprentice now by his side, Fogsprint followed along the rest of the cats in the patrol, letting Hawkeye take the lead. She did a good job at gathering the patrol together, and even though she was much younger than him, he was happy to let her take charge. It gave him a good chance to focus more on Marigoldpaw and to be a good mentor anyway.

Puddlespring noticed Littlepaw head off out of the corner of her eye, and she paid him no mind as she stalked the squirrel. Keeping low in the leaves, but careful not to drag her belly against the leaf litter on the ground, she crawled forward. She was ready to bolt up the tree, but it seemed to pause to sniff at a fallen acorn. Now was her chance! She pounced, trapping it beneath her paws and nipping its neck quickly before it could scurry away under her paws. Proud, she purred happily, lifting the catch and then turning to see where her apprentice had gone off to.

Crowthorn winced as the tom bit down hard on his tail, but rather than try to pull away, he allowed himself to be pulled back and kicked the tom in the face with his hind paws.

"Yes, I think we're more than ready to head out now," Hawkeye replied, and began once again to lead the patrol out, only to halt once again as Birdpaw burst through the camp entrance with a kit dangling from his jaws. Her confused gaze followed him as Petalstar made her way over to him and began talking with him, and although she was curious as to what was going on, she didn't want to make the patrol wait any longer. Besides, whatever it was, it probably wasn't any of their business. But as she took one more step, she heard Petalstar call her and Rabbitfur's names, and accepted finally that the patrol would just have to wait. "Sorry, we'll be right back," she apologized to the others before following Rabbitfur. She dipped her head respectfully to the leader, her gaze flicking between her, Birdpaw, and the kit. "Yes, Petalstar? What's going on?"

"I know you were, I wasn't mad," Sunpaw had told Bravepaw before beginning to track the squirrel, surprised and feeling a bit bad that she had seemingly offended her denmate by defending her mentor. She hadn't really been serious herself, but it seemed that she'd come off that way. Still, she tried to forget this now and instead focus entirely on the squirrel she was tracking, but she didn't make it far when Starlingpaw spoke up, and she flattened an ear. She wasn't looking at the apprentices so she couldn't know for sure, but from the sound of it Bravepaw hadn't been too happy that she was going after the squirrel he'd scented and Starlingpaw was trying to make him feel better about it. Her ears grew hot. I shouldn't have gone after it. Bravepaw had scented it first, after all; she hadn't meant to steal it from him, she'd just been excited, but now she felt embarrassed, like a kit back in the nursery. What's more, she had now upset Bravepaw twice that day, in only a few minutes. She could tell Sparrowcall was trying to make everyone feel better, but now she just felt bad and had lost her focus. Still, if she lost the squirrel now, Bravepaw would probably only be more upset with her for trying to steal his catch and then losing it, so she pressed on, trying to follow the scent as best she could. Finally, she spotted it: a long, bushy tail poking out from the grass. Dropping into a crouch, she crept towards it, trying to find the perfect balance between staying low enough so as not to be seen and high enough so as not to let her fur brush against the ground. Then, waggling her haunches, she pounced and landed squarely on the creature, killing it with a bite to the neck before it even had a chance to react.

Southwind gave Icepaw a small nudge, as if to tell her to let her guard down. This loner seemed more lost and confused than anything, and on his own there was certainly no need to be overly defensive. Even if he decided to attack, there was nothing he could do against a patrol of five cats. "What are you doing all the way out here anyway?" he asked the stranger, sounding more curious than anything.

Darkflower bristled for a moment longer but eventually relaxed when she realized the tom wasn't a threat, and took a step back in obedience. Still, she kept a firm gaze on him, her eyes narrowed.

Timberfoot let his tail brush gently against his apprentice, as if to silently tell him it was okay, even though he was now feeling a bit down himself. When they arrived at the pool, he simply nodded at Foxcloud's words and began to head off in his own direction, beckoning with his tail for his apprentice to follow. "Come on, Leopardpaw."
