"Not really fun." Alex said looking at Fire again. She then shifted her gaze back to Brooke. "As far as I can tell from his teeth, he is two." Alex said holding the colt steady. "Well If you going to lunge him, we better get started while the day is young." Alex shifted her gaze back to Fire. The colt really needed to be gelded, but she wanted to wait until he was a bit calmer around humans. Was that ever going to happen?

Brooke nodded. "okay" she said, folding her arms. She realized that she was possibly in a littel deep. She sighed and took a couple steps towards Fire and Alex. Fire threw hsi head and whinnied, then kicked the stall as if wanting to get out now and run

Alex's hand went up when Fire threw his head up, but she held on. "Take his lead." She said handing the rope to Brooke. "Hold it close to his halter where he can't bite you, again." With that, Alex let go of the lead completly and went into the tack room. She grabbed the lunging gear and head for the door of the tack room. "Uhg." She said, when she saw one of her kittens blocking the path. "Don't get peoples way, silly." She said stepping over him. The kitten jumped to his feet and weaved inbetween Alex's legs as she walked towards Fire's stall.

Sadie sighed, Rica wasn't making thing easy. She set the peppermint down on the stall door next to her and stuck her head out of the stall to see what was happening with Fire. When she turned back to the white mare she saw Rica had taken a step toward the peppermint but when Sadie turned around Rica backed into her corner again. "So you do want the peppermint!" She murmured, and she leaned back, leaving the peppermint on the stall door. Rica took a few steps then hurried forward and snatched the treat up be and returned to her corner before Sadie could try to pet her.

Brooek solemnly took Fire's leada as Alex walked out. Fire wasn't too happy about it, he swhinnied loudly and tried to yank hsi head away, but Brooke had a good grip. There was no way she would allow this horse to bite her twice in a day. She was releived when Alex got back

"Hold him steady while I put the lunging gear on." Alex said to Brooke. She noticed Brooke's relife when she came back. The women's eyebrows arched. Did Brooke think she was going to be dealing with docile lesson horses and ponies? Alex slipped into Fire's stall and put a saddle pad on his back. She then put the training surcingle on and slipped lunging cavesson and attached the lung line to that. "Ready?" She asked Brooke.

Brooek nodded. "I think so" she said. She felta little stupid. What else did she expect, some colt that was to scared to even look up? She sighed and looked at Fire. You really had to work hard to make a horse that angry

"Here you go then." Alex said handing her the Lung line. "The whip is in the round pen already. I don't bring them into the barn. I expect you know how to lung a horse already?" The women spoke clearly. At the last part she rasied one eyebrow, higher then the other.

Brooke scoffed. "Of course, I do" she said, wondering why Alex was asking her this, exactly. Did she give off a bad vibe? Wait...Oh, yeah. She did. She took the lunge llead and clicked her tongue. Fire snorted and didn't move, but planted his feet stubbornly. Brooke sighed and tugged slightly.The colt snorted and tried to canter, but Brooke had to tight a grip. She planted her feet and tightened her grip, and Fire was forced to a walk

(Okay sorry guys, had a rough week and weekend. I am back for a while, but have finals this week so I wont be completley focused on this.)

"Good." Alex said to the girl. "The round ring is by the covered." She said watching them walk away. They seemed to fight each other, but Fire needed someone to fight him right now. Maybe later they would bond more, once Fire learned he was not the boss. That could take a while thought. Alex grabbed a push brom and started to sweep the concrete aslies of the barn. She would check on Brooke and Fire later as well as the other kids, but for now she had chores. Alex swept the ground with the brom and she thought. She needed a horse to work with. Hmmm... Maybe the next rescue.
