Ever wondered what it was like to be stray? No one to go home to, no family, barely any food or water.

There are dogs that know everything about being a stray. They live on an island called Roam, and they're known as the Roamers. This island was brought for dogs of all kinds. People just dropped their dogs here and left.

For many years, the pack has thrived on the shores of the island. They're too afraid to explore inland, and they remain on the beach. The forest is thick and easy for dogs to get lost in. They don't know what predators might lurk. There are little food and meager amounts of viable water, yet the pack thrives with love and passion. At least, until now.

The last leader has died of old age, and the new leader has to make decisions. Eventually, the pack will have to find food and water. They will have to travel deeper into the jungle.

Whatever lurks may be the death of them.

This is where they're going to eventually live, and the new leader will lead them to the other side of the island to find this nirvana. There is a promise of plentiful food and water, but there are many predators.

Eventually, when they get to their new home, they will be able to drink clean water and have plentiful prey. There is also an abundance of fallen trees, logs, and vines for them to make dens to sleep.

During their long journey, these are some of the things that the pack may come across.

Herbs:
Cat’s Claw - alleviates swelling in joints
Catuaba - eases anxiety and stress
Cordoncillo - used as an anesthetic
Pau d’arco - boosts white blood cells
Rat’s Tail - helps with digestion
Shapumvilla - stops bleeding
Stevia - regulates blood sugar
Suma - increases healing

Prey:
Frogs
Monkeys
Capybaras
Insects, spiders, butterflies
Toucans, parrots, birds of paradise
Chameleons, lizards, geckos, iguanas

Dangers:
Gorillas
Piranhas
Vampire bats
Poison dart frogs
Jaguars, panthers
Boa constrictors, pythons

This is the map of the island to help roleplayers see when the pack will find their new home. The dogs will be in grave danger and it will be a long journey but eventually, they will love their new home because of the plentiful food and water.

The order of the places the pack will travel to:
Current Home -> Small Mountains -> Burn Land -> Ruins -> Dead Land -> New Home

Events

The pack is still in the current home.

The time is the afternoon. The weather is hot and humid.

They have barely any water or food, and they're mourning over their old leader.
The new leader is now talking to some of the pack members and getting them to agree with traveling to a new home.

The Chief is the leader of the pack and makes all of the decisions.
The Officers are the second-in-commands. One leads the Trappers, and one leads the Soldiers. (4 years+)
The Curers are the doctors. They heal dogs and collect herbs. (3 years+)
The Curer Apprentices are the young dogs learning to heal. (10 months+)
The Pup Mothers are females who are carrying or nursing pups. (2 years+)
The Pups are young dogs that remain with their mothers. (0 - 10 months)
The Trappers are gatherers of bedding/den items and hunters. (2 years+)
The Soldiers are guardians and protectors of the pack. (3 years+)
The Trainees are young dogs learning to be Trappers or Soldiers. (10 months - 3 years)
The Elders are old dogs that no longer have duties. (10 years+)
The Weaks are small dogs or dogs with permanent injuries. (10 months+)
