[a continuation from the writing above]
Seeing Alistairs change in expression Evern knew he had been wrong about the strange object. He had hoped his discovery would be of interest to Alistair. After all it was a strange, shiny, and possibly dangerous looking object he had never seen.
Alistair had left by now, returning to continue whatever he was doing before Evern had called him over. Evern felt a little dissapointed that his discovery appeared to had been all for nothing, so he decided to go find Alistair to ask him about the strange object.
Finding Alistair was fairly easy. He happened to be sitting in the middle of the densite with his eyes closed. The concept of meditation was foreign to Evern and so he assumed Alistair was sleeping. He thought the idea of sleeping like this was rather strange. Regardless he still went ahead and nudged Alistair on the shoulder, brushing over his scars.
Being rudely dragged out of what was previously a calm meditative state Alistair opened one eye with visiable frustration. He didn't like his scars being touched, it was one thing sure to put him in a bad mood. Doubled up with the fact that Evern had just ruined his meditation and he was rather angry, although only a little bit of this anger actually escaped to display in his body language.
Evern didn't pick up on the tiny hints of annoyance. "oh, you're awake! ... sorry for waking you up... You said this strange thing wasn't something to worry about, do you know more about it?"
Alistair looked at the spoon. He would normaly be happy enough to explain but today he just wanted some quiet time. Evern had worried him before but upon finding it was a false alarm he wanted to just keep calm for a bit. He tried to explain he can tell Evern what the 'strange object' is later, but right now he just wanted to go back to what he was doing before. Evern didn't really understand why and kept persisting, the two building up tension with each response back and fourth.
This went on for a while until Alistair finially snapped. He ran off without an explanation and found a tree to sit in. When Evern found him he could see the visiable anger, his violently flicking tail and irritated expression being a classic sign that even Alistair used when he truly had enough. Yet still he appeared to calm slightly when Evern arrived in the area, worried about where his friend was.
By the time Evern had found Alistair he was rather angry himself. Alistair on the other hand, although still slightly annoyed, had processed the situation and didn't really care much at this point.
Evern started shouting. "Where were you? You just ran off!"
"Look, i just wanted some time-"
"ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS ASK YOU ABOUT THIS, i really don't know what it is please..." Evern pushed the spoon towards the bottom of the tree. Alistair was slightly surprised, he hadn't even realised he brought the spoon with him until now. Evern appeared to be getting somewhat emotional. He was exausted from looking in every corner of Glare territory to find Alistair and at this point wasn't really thinking much at all.
Alistair didn't reply, not really knowing what to do. He thought about possibly going down from the tree.
"I'M SORRY FOR WAKING YOU UP I AM, I DIDN'T MEAN TO ANNOY YOU. Im still confused why you're angry at me i don't, i,i i, i just wanted to know what this stupid thing was."
At this point Alistair climbed down to a lower branch, paused for a short bit and then jumped to the ground. He tried to comfort Evern. He decided to try pinning the blame on himself, as Evern seemed to beleive it was his fault.
It took a while but Evern evenually calmed down. He didn't really understand what exactly had happened but he decided not to question it much.
Alistair finially explained what the strange object was. After Evern felt slightly silly over that argument but at least he knew it was a spoon. He wondered why humans needed such weird things to assist them in eating. They were truly strange and fascinating creatures.
