When Hawkeye returned, Fogsprint was ready to go. As she grabbed Rabbitfur, he nodded, and then as Rayfeather spoke, he turned to the younger warrior. "You should ask her, of course." He mewed, looking around for Ivythorn, seeing her leave the den. A large patrol would be fine, and they'd probably catch more prey while also patrolling the border that way.

Blossomcloud really seemed to want more kits around. He didn't blame her, Yewbriar also enjoyed having kits around camp. "There are plenty of young cats too, though, so it'll just be a matter of time." He loved spending time with the kits when they were small, little mewling bundles of fur. He always was a bit sad that he had never had any kits of his own, but spending time with the kits and telling them stories was always a joy. "I haven't seen a couple of cats yet this morning," He said, when Blossomcloud mentioned being hungry. "So surely that means they've gone out hunting. I'm sure they'll be back soon."

She felt a little silly that she had made a fuss about it, but she was excited that her sister might be coming along. When Leopardpaw spoke to her, she flattened her ears a bit, feeling silly. "I don't know." The small apprentice said. "I just thought because Vixenbite told us to go, that I probably shouldn't question it." She said quietly.

Swanblossom awoke as dawn light began to filter into the den. She let out a yawn, as she stretched, her blue gaze bright. Everyone seemed to be doing well for the time being, besides Lionstar anyway. The tom had been injured due to a eagle attack, and unfortunately couldn't preform his duties as a leader because of it. At least, the tom was getting better and would be just fine. As a matter of fact, perhaps he'd be healed well enough to take over his responsibilities in a few days. Moving her thoughts away from the leader, she turned to the nearby piles of herbs and began to sort through it. Perhaps, she should go fetch some goldenrod, perhaps some comfrey root as well. Honestly, she never had let her stocks get, but so low before she'd go looking for some to restock them. Her ears twitched, before she turned and padded out of the den, wrapping her fluffy tail around her paws as she sat at the entrance to the medicine cat den, watching the cats awaken and begin the day.

Bristlebush flinched at the sudden sound of his apprentice's voice, and he turned toward the young she-cat. "O-oh, good morning! Of course!", he said to his apprentice, before turning to Timberfoot whom had approached shortly afterwards. "Yes, yes of course. I'd definitely wouldn't mind that", he said rising to his paws, his tail flicking from side to side.

Creekpaw laid in the apprentice den, still half-asleep though she could hear some of the other apprentices moving about and their muffled chatter. She let out a breath, trying to decide between either going back to sleep or pulling herself out of her nest, and head outside. She thought about it for a few moments, before finally letting out a long sigh and laying her head on her paws, guessing she'd just lay there for a few more moments, before she finally woke up and started the day.

Tumblestone had remained quiet as the others interacted with the kittypets. His amber gaze remained narrowed and he slowly approached the two, though he knew they'd probably be quite skittish around them, since they were unusual cats and honestly, could cause trouble. Suddenly, Crowthorn snatched the youngest one and began to bound with her towards camp. What was he thinking? He turned and bounded after the two toms, knowing that this could end up all, but well.

Leafwillow arose to his paws and joined the others for the patrol, his tail swaying slowly. He let out a yawn as he awaited for them to go, and soon enough Lightningwing gave the word. However, at her words his eyes widened in surprise and he tilted his head slightly as he began to follow after the others. A dog had been spotted, which was the cause, but it seemed odd that the deputy hadn't told them, it had been a direct order from the leader herself.

As usual, Thrushpaw was up bright and early. Her ears twitched as she padded out of the den, glancing around to see what she should do first. Thankfully, her mentor was out on patrol, so he couldn't drag her away to do some boring old training. Bleh. Her gaze glinted with a mischievous light as she gazed around and tried to think of the next bit of trouble she would cause. Perhaps, cause trouble among the elders or perhaps the apprentices. Her whiskers twitched as she padded toward the shadows of the camp, lying down and considering her options.

The tom liked this part of the forest - the further down the mountain, the thicker the trees were. He loved the way they smelled, and he loved how soft the forest floor was beneath his paw pads. As he walked, he batter a pinecone that had fallen out of the way, fighting the urge to pounce on it like a kit.

The chase was on, and he could feel the adrenaline in every hair on his pelt. With a furious hiss, he pushed himself harder. The apprentice couldn't keep pace with the older tom, though, and remained a fox-length behind him as they charged on. Determination filled him, and he kept his paws moving, though he had a harder and harder time filling his lungs with air. He glanced desperately at Tumblestone, praying to StarClan that the tom, much larger and faster than himself, would cut the rogue off.

Embershine’s claw shot into the water as another fish camp to light and she pulled out a pretty plump fish. A soft purr echoed from the warrior as she was pleased with this hunting trip. Usually she can only manage to catch a fish and go back to camp almost soaking wet like she tried to be a fish herself. Embershine collected the fish, although with a little difficulty since she wasn’t used to carrying so many fish. Then she started walking back to camp rather triumphantly with her catch, which probably wasn’t that impressive to a normal PineClan cat. As she got closer to camp, the warrior noticed what she assumed was a patrol heading out as she passed them. Unable to greet them verbally, Embershine flicked her tail as a greeting to her fellow clan mates and continued onward.

mary scretched out, sunlight dappling her ebony fur. as her mind cleared she realized it was nearly sunhigh and poked her head out of the apprentices den. puzzling as to why her mentor hadnt woken her, she looked around to see he had left camp. slowly she crawled out, womdering if her absence had drawn attention, to realize that really no one was minding her as she made her way to the fresh-kill pile.

beau trotted along down a deer path, jaws wide in his search for prey. he quickly caught the musky odor of a grey squirrel peddling through the undergrowth. he began to track its scent with a determined focus, paws sliding forward to avoid making noise. eventually he spotted it, digging in mulch, and wiggled his hauches. beau leapt towards it, but the noise startled the squirrel and his took off up a tree. still in a hunting mindset the ragged tom attempted to drag himself up into the branches after it, but was forced to stop at the lowest branch. he sat there, glaring at the squirrel wag its tail at him in contempt. he gave a frustrated growl as it turned and continued up the tree, disappearing among the thick pine needles.

Icepaw tried her best not to let out a chuckle as she had listened to the warrior, of course a small giggle did escape out of her mouth. Crowthorn managed to clear ground that much quicker thanks to his lean frame and light paws, but when he glanced behind him, he saw that Birdpaw was struggling to keep up and Tumblestone simply seemed to be running because everyone else was. With a roll of his eyes, Crowthorn quickly made a U-turn, bolting past the other two toms to Birdpaw. He spent no more than a second passing the kit to the apprentice, practically shoving her scruff into his mouth before giving the apprentice a hard nudge in the direction of camp. Birdpaw would get the kit to camp; Crowthorn would hold off the rogue. His U-turn had slowed the whole party down a bit and he took this opportunity to launch himself onto Flynn, digging his claws into the rogue's back.

"Do you want to patrol with us?" Hawkeye asked Rabbitfur politely. At Rayfeather's suggestion, she gave a nod. "Yes, I think that would be good for her."

"Yeah, I'm sure he would have taken you if you'd been up early enough," Sunpaw teased Starlingpaw. Turning to Bravepaw, she added, "Well, guess that answers your question. Hunting!" She gave a little bounce when the tom had finished his prey. "Alright, let's go!"

"Oh, I don't know about that," Southwind replied to Icepaw with a small shrug. "I'd like to think I'm just realistic." He suppressed a sigh at Swiftstep's response, not bothering to argue with her. He knew she was hard to convince to just lighten up and relax a little, and he wasn't going to try too hard right now. With a nod to Icepaw, he bounded after Swiftstep and marked the border silently.

"Great! Let's go, then." With a smile, Timberfoot turned and led Bristlebush and Featherpaw back to where the rest of the patrol was waiting. "Told you," he said to Rainpaw with a purr, nodding at the two cats following him not far behind.

Kestrelclaw shook his head but said nothing as he padded after Jaywing, with Darkflower at the rear.

It wasn't long till the apprentice came across the mice he had scented earlier and realized he wouldn't be able to catch all of them due to how close they were, he could go after one and it'd alert the other two. He shook his head slightly deciding one was better then none and he crouched down. He began stalking towards the group of mice and then leaped out trapping the mouse under his paw before he quickly nipped its neck. He picked it up and frowned softly as he watched the other two scurry away. He glanced over at PuddleSpring and then back over at the direction the other mice had run off in.

The border patrol seemed to go fairly smooth after her conversation until she scented a loner just outside of the territory and she glanced around spotting the tom on the lowest branch of a tree. The tom has yet to cross the border but that didn't mean that he wasn't planning to. She contemplated saying something to the tom and to warn him about crossing the border before he actually does it.

S p a r r o w c a l l flicked her tail, indicating for the apprentices to follow, and headed towards the open peak. Once out of camp, she headed towards the pines, hoping to find something smaller for the apprentices within them. Birds of prey soared above the peak, and small apprentices and even warriors would make a good snack for them. It took a skilled cat to be able to kill them, so the queen thought it best to lead them deeper into the forest, where there was little threat of that happening. Sparrowcall glanced behind her, making sure the apprentices were all there. Finally she was satisfied with their location and turned around. Prey scent tickled her tongue, and she asked, "All right - what do you scent?" The question was directed at all three of them.

R a b b i t f u r dipped his head. "Sure," he replied. "Are we hunting or patrolling the borders?" His earlier hopes of spending time with Lostface had been forgotten - the tom was ready to leave camp, he'd been waiting on her to wake long enough. His tail flicked back and forth as he waited for the entire patrol to finish gathering. When he saw Marigoldpaw emerge from the apprentices' den, he tapped Fogsprint's flank with his tail. "Looks like your apprentice is awake," he said, nodding towards the black-and-ginger she-cat. "Do you want to bring her along?"
As Rayfeather began talking to his sister, Rabbitfur's gaze shifted that way. He didn't care for Ivythorn - the queen wasn't just guarded or unkind, she was downright rude, and Rabbitfur didn't like that. She was cold and harsh and, in Rabbitfur's opinion based off of Ivythorn's own words, didn't care about her Clan at all. He didn't think that made a good warrior, so that was the opinion he held of her - that she wasn't a good, loyal warrior. He flicked his gaze back to Fogsprint, his ears flattening slightly. He regretted joining the patrol now that she was coming, but perhaps he could stick with Fogsprint or Hawkeye and not associate with her too much.

B i r d p a w didn't stop as Crowthorn passed Jinx into his maw. His ears flattened and he was stunned momentarily in surprise, until the kit clawed at his muzzle. A low growl rumbled in his throat and he tightened his grip on her scruff. The tom tore off once more, heading towards camp. The pines were beginning to feel endless until they started thinning, giving Birdpaw a burst of hope. He never once turned back, his paws thrumming on the ground. He grew nearer to to the camp and a wave of relief surged through him.

Settling down in a patch of sunlight, the tom began to groom, hoping that he wouldn't be disturbed for a bit so that he could rest from the early hunt.

When he spotted the tom in the tree, he broke into a hiss, the fur along his spine rising menacingly. His back arched and his body lowered into a crouch, ready to fight if he had to. He had only seen the tom's tail as it disappeared further up, but he could scent him, and kept his gaze focused on the pine.
