In other news Wonho has been cleared of all charges!

The months waiting have been so long and difficult and monbebes were starting to lose hope but now just seeing everyone exploding into happy tears is making me so emotional. He's been a longtime ult so I'm joining them in ugly tears
Hopefully our Hoseok can return soon <3

I hate YG so much I don't know how you guys can handle stanning their groups.

Partly because I’m ignorant, partly because I already stan groups managed by some of the most hated companies out there, SM, Pledis.

I wrote a lot about this when Monbebe were going ballistic on StarShip back then, but it’s hard to love a group and know that you’re indirectly supporting people who do not give a damn about their employees welfare. It almost makes me want to support them more??? But it’s just... I’ve never had the same sense of “right and wrong” as other people seem to, and I don’t feel guilty in the slightest for liking BigBang, or supporting any group.

Antis often say that k-pop is “modern slavery” or something similar, and shame us for liking it. But the rest of the music industry is rife with similar contracts, copyrighting issues. We’ve all seen what happens to the kids Disney picks up. Taylor Swift recently lost the rights to many of her earlier works.

I definitely agree with the statement(s) above me, the entertainment industry in the west actually isn't much better (just look at what One Direction has said about their treatment) and in some ways the Kpop industry is getting slightly better?

Imo? Like how JYP and SM made it so trainees/artists no longer have to pay the debt from dorm rent/training (I completely forgot what its called) JYP caring about his artists health, and I believe I heard somewhere that RV is having more freedom when it comes to their diet? There are also a couple more things but my mind is blank rn so XD

I cried when I heard the news last night 😭

I truly thought that wonho was never going to be mentioned by starship again, let alone cleared of any charges. all of us thought that starship was the enemy, too, for ignoring us for months,,,,,but they had done so much for him behind-the-scenes and we just hadn't seen any of it yet. they are truly a good company that supports their artists. it meant so much to hear their statement at last.

I hope that wonho saw the outpouring of love for him. I hope he saw how much we fought every single day for his return, and how much we will continue to fight.

my only fears now are that starship won't let him rejoin monsta x or that he doesn't want to come back. if he wants to stay away from the entertainment industry after all of this,,,,,I'll respect that wish. my hope, though, is that starship will let him come back. who hires a lawyer for someone that left your company if they don't want that person to come back, right? they wouldn't spend so much money to fight for him if they were just going to throw him away,,,,,

the conflicting translations of starship's statement are making me wary, though. I can't speak korean so I don't know the true meaning of it. "we will continue to fully support wonho for developing his own career in the future" and "we will give wonho our full support so that he can continue down the path he desires in the future" hold such different meanings. the first could imply a solo career as the only option with "his own career" ?? while the second implies that he has a choice to rejoin monsta x with "the path he desires" ??? unless he desires a solo career ???? I really don't know.

I'm just happy to hear that he is cleared. I hope that he wants to return and can be given the opportunity to do so.
