Mistflower eagerly nodded, she was ready to fall asleep just up on her paws. "You say that now but you'll probably get stuck on patrol duty if Streamspots catches you doing that more often then not." She knew that from experience, she at first did let Quiverpaw sleep in until after a moon of being apprenticed when she was put on dawn patrol then had to go train her after. She would probably let her apprentice sleep in at least a tad tonight.
"Yes of course," she purred and followed after Litteflower and Swiftbadger to go to the warrior den. She would be a proud mentor on the night Quiverpaw has her warrior vigil and would be happy for her to share the den with her.

His heart skipped a beat as he realized the Clan must have returned from the Gathering. "I'm going to go find my mate," he told Reedwhisker. "You should go back to camp and spend some time with Silversnow and the kits - as much time as you have. Make it count!" With that, Deertail bounded into the undergrowth, following the scent of his mate and leader, mingled with the scents of the Clan from when they had crossed through the forest earlier.

When Southstar and Foxcloud had finished, she had began grooming herself contently. However she had caught the scent of Deertail close by in the undergrowth, which surprised her - she thought he would of been in the warriors den waiting for her there and not out. She was quite tired from everything that had happened today from the hunt with Deertail to the gathering then to what ended up happening with Southstar. She did feel a bit guilty however she knew best not to be as she did enjoy it. She gave Southstar a quick lick and nuzzles against him once. "We probably should go back to camp... We could do this tomorrow to you know," she purred quietly to the tom.

Southstar sounded unsure as he responded, "Maybe," before padding into a separate patch of lavender and rolling in it. He wasn't going to make the mistake of rolling in mushrooms twice--not that he really needed to hide his scent, as he had with Honey. Foxcloud was his clanmate after all, but still, even if she wasn't any other tom's mate, she wasn't his either, and he didn't want any cats to know what they'd been up to. No, this would stay between them. Once he'd masked his scent, he gave himself a thorough grooming, making sure his pelt was as slick as could be before rising to his paws. "We'd best hunt on the way back. We don't want to come back empty-pawed." With a whisk of his tail, he set off through the forest, back in the direction of camp. He managed to catch a shrew pretty quickly, and was scenting the air for any other prey that could be around when another scent hit his nostrils--Deertail and Reedwhisker had passed by this way recently, and were seemingly still close.

"You're probably right," Foxcloud had sighed once before he had set off in a different direction. She listened to the forest once before quickly finding a mouse and headed back towards camp. Her scent was masked from the lavender and her coat was clean but she still felt dirty. That filled her thoughts as she worked back towards camp as she worked on finding another piece of prey to take back to camp. She had quickly caught another mouse before she had caught up to Southstar. "Nice shrew," she noted as the two walked back to camp with their fresh-kill.

I t was Southstar's pelt that Deertail saw first. "Southstar!" he called out, padding up to the leader, nodding his head. "Nice catch, but you've picked a strange time to hunt, right after the Gathering." When he spotted his mate, he gazed at her fondly. He padded up to the queen, burying his muzzle in the fur on her shoulder. "I missed you," he purred, "my love. I'm glad you're home. Oh, and those are some plump mice - nice job! I'm lucky to have such a skilled hunter as a mate." He licked her cheek fondly, pulling his muzzle away from her fur.

When Deertail had called out Southstar’s name she did grow a bit weary as he didn’t want him to somehow say mate. She doubted that was possible however and she would be thought of as a liar by Southstar no doubt, as she distinctly told him no she didn’t have a mate. She was just vulnerable and unsure of her feelings as she had not had the chance to explore her feelings for Southstar until moments ago. She struggled to respond right away to him and nodded her head some. And hearing the word plump, she couldn’t help but wonder if she would end up pregnant and didn’t know how to explain that to Deertail. Perhaps she could say it happened the day before they became mates. That would lead to possible more lying. Or she could try to trick him into doing the dirty with her to make him think they were hers. The two toms looked very similar no one would know.
“I missed you too... I was just a bit hungry and wanted to hunt before returning to camp and Southstar agreed to join me,” Foxcloud told her mate before giving the leader a stare for him not to say anything. It was their business and only theirs to know that they did mate. “Let’s go I’m quite tired from today,” she told the two toms as she flicked her tail for them to follow after her as she lead them to camp quickly.
