aaaaa millipedes! <333
I've never seen a big boi, the only ones I've found were probably 2-3" at most.
Pictures would be really cool if you have any you'd be happy to share? <3

They all got put back exactly where I picked them up, including the dead one in my right hand. Also, thinking back now I'm gonna change my original guess to six or seven inches because eight seems too big? Although there were some quite a bit bigger than the ones in the pics. There were dozens of them just kinda hanging out, I'm guessing they were drinking from the little stream. This was in a desert in Southern California.

I don't know millipedes that well but maybe they're some type of tylobolus?

ayy welcome!
I think you're right, im looking at pics now and they look like Tylobolus uncigerus or Tylobolus castaneus. I'm pretty sure I've seen both those species around here.

These are the ones I usually see in my yard, they're smaller and have brighter red stripes. Idk, I am so bad at identifying inverts, and google doesnt seem to like millipedes very much.

Can't believe I actually got that right haha, that's an awesome find though! There's no big millipedes around here, just small ones that like to leak acid all over the place

Hey! I've been looking to possibly get a preying mantis?
It's been lonely here and I recon the upkeep would be worth it for such a cool insect buddy.
I was looking for some species suggestions, something interesting or large would be cool, though since I'm a begginer I wouldn't want any incredibly hard to keep species. Let me know if you have any suggestions/first timer tips : )
Also, I believe my local petshop is open but if anyone's in the UK where have you been getting your crickets/larvae?
please message me
on discord if its
important thank u

I bought a tarantula (K. Brunnipes) on a whim almost a year ago when I was at the pet store for cat food.
She was just a tiny, almost translucent sling and has since grown to be about the diameter of a quarter (legs and all). It's been fun exploring tarantula ownership, as I've never had one before.
They really are underrated pets. She's so fuzzy and puts her cute pink legs at the top of her burrow when she's ready for more food.
v Help me with my hoard? ♡ v
