Raveneye turned to the medicine cat, sorrow clouding his eyes, "I don't know... I just woke up early as usual but then I smelled blood and..." He glanced down at the body once more, shuddering, "I saw her lying there... I checked to see what happened, it looks like something or someone intended to kill her." He said slowly, his usual quiet voice shaking in shock and fear. Never would he have thought this would happen. He still wondered in the back of his mind of who or what did this... and were they residing with them in the clan?

Spiderclaw hadn't found out about the murder yet, not until he had walked out all grouchy and irritated as usual in the mornings. He let out a yawn and stretched his large muscular joints, before sitting up and finally catching a small hint of blood. He quickly spotted the source and his eyes widened, running over. "What happened to Tinynose?!" He mewed.

Dovepaw glanced at Spiderclaw and Raveneye. "No idea, looks like someone killed her deliberately," she responded to the warrior. "Should I inform Berrystar?" she asked the warriors and medicine cat.

Aspenfang sat with her tail curled tightly around her paws, silvery pelt glinting in the morning sunlight. Her green eyes were locked on the scene in front of her. Just a fox-length away, several of her clanmates were coming to terms with the sudden loss of Tinynose. When Aspenfang had initially woken up, she had intended to complain about all the noise they were making in camp at such an early hour, but seeing Tinynose's limp body and hearing the other cats discuss what could have happened to her had Aspenfang swallowing her complaints before they were ever voiced. It was rare that she held her tongue, but that did not last long. Life goes on, after all, and despite the growing pit in her stomach as she stared at the unfolding scene, that fact remained. Gawking was not going to solve anything.
"Someone should."
Aspenfang padded up to the group, finally ready to participate in dealing with the calamity. She addressed Dovepaw's question directly, and looked at the odd-eyed apprentice expectantly as she continued.
"Well? Are you going or what?"

Spiderclaw bent down and sniffed Tinynose, trying to get to the bottom of who did this...He couldn't find anything but Thunderclan scents, but which one? He tried to find a certain cat scent, but never found one, and this made him snarl in disbelief. He hissed to himself, but he knew it had to of been true if there was no other scents. He looked at the others, his expression showing frustration. "Guys, there's Thunderclan scents all over Tinynose!"

Aspenfang sighed and flicked her tail dismissively at Spiderclaw's observation. He had just stated the most obvious thing. Spiderclaw could have claimed Tinynose was a cat and the revelation would be just as informative.
"Yeah. Of course there are. We're in ThunderClan. We all-"
She stopped mid-sentence as the implications dawned on her. Wide-eyed, she continued.
"We all smell like ThunderClan..."
Aspenfang bent, stretching towards the body to give it a few delicate sniffs of her own. Surely there was some sort of clue that would indicate any other possibility. There had to be, didn't there?

The black tom's eyes widened at Spiderclaw's observation, realizing that his suspicions of the culprit being in the clan were correct. But who? Who would do such a thing? Raveneye didn't want to accuse anyone of doing something so horrific, he trusted his clanmates! For now, he decided to keep to himself, not wanting to come to a conclusion until there was more evidence. Nodding at the apprentice's suggestion to get their leader, the warrior stayed quiet, watching Spiderclaw and Aspenfang as they talked while his heart still lurched with grief for the death of the shecat by their paws.
