PeakClanHawkeye made sure not to accidentally touch anyone else as she stretched once more before rising to her paws. "I'm alright," she mumbled, still feeling a bit groggy. She let out a yawn as she added, "You?"
"That's because it is earth," Crowthorn replied matter-of-factly before following the apprentice back to Tumblestone, who didn't seem to be particularly interested in marking their borders that morning. "Don't look so down, Tumblestone," he teased the older warrior. "It's not
that boring."
Gingerleaf pawed gingerly through her collection of herbs, making a mental note of which ones she was running low on. Her stomach growled, but she ignored it; she never felt very hungry in the mornings, despite her stomach's audible disagreement. She stilled as her paw settled on a couple of dried parsley leaves. When was the last time she'd needed parsley? Eight moons ago, she reminded herself quietly. She had always held onto a small supply of them, just in case the need ever arose--but the more she thought about it, it was unlikely she'd ever use them, and they just took up space in her den. Sighing, she collected them and any other old, dried-up herbs she found and padded out of her den with them, blinking against the pale early morning light.
Sunpaw was in a deep sleep, her back rising and falling rhythmically as she breathed. Sunlight was just barely beginning to filter into the den, warming her pale gold-and-white pelt and making it appear brighter than normal.
PineClan"Come on, I didn't mean to," Southwind chuckled at the annoyed look the she-cat gave him. "But now that we're both up, we might as well go see if there's a patrol we can join or something, right?"
"No where, really," Darkflower admitted, shuffling her paws slightly. She eyed the senior warrior's catch as she continued, "I just wanted to get out of camp, stretch my paws a bit. I suppose I should have gotten up and gone out hunting earlier, like you did."
"Oh, just a few minutes," Timberfoot replied. He saw movement out the corner of his eye, and shot a glance at the apprentices' den just in time to see Leopardpaw exiting it. "How would you like to train our apprentices together today?" he asked her hopefully. He knew Leopardpaw was a few moons older than Rainpaw, nearly a warrior at this point, but it could do the young she-cat some good to train against an older, stronger opponent. Just as he'd finished asking the question, Rainpaw bounded up. "Hi there, Rainpaw," he purred to her. "How are you?"
Kestrelclaw let out a good-natured laugh, not at all bothered by his denmate's remark. "Oh come on, Jaywing, don't be like that. For what it's worth, if there was a contest for best-groomed-pelt in the clan, I'm sure you'd win. But since there's not, why don't you come out with me, see if we can go on patrol or a hunt? Your pelt's going to get messed up later, anyway, so don't fuss too much."
