I tried to give both the maximum and minimums.

I've seen lately that the joker is struggling, though I'm not sure how that changes as the joker is td
I've also already stated why I dont think it being a td is anything special
Having owned 2 galaxies a bit ago, its surprisingly difficult to trade them for 1.5

You can swap them for other things valued at 1.5 but cant really get a sorb and a non for them, based on my personal experience and trades I've seen

The quantity isn't truly significant enough to change my view of it, though I didnt consider it in my advice I will admit. So that is a helpful contribution

However, I would still advise against speaking abt your own trades
It is confusing to your partner at times and can make them decline as they see you as untrustworthy.

understood. however, i in no way intend to change my trading partner's mind w my opinion. i also don't see why i can't give advice on my own trade if i'm providing reasoning to my thought process. not all trading partners intend to tip things in their favor--something i have no intention of doing at all and though i can see where you're coming from, i would have to disagree.

I don’t doubt that you mean nothing Ill willed but it is still not a courteous thing to do, they are seeking out other advice and perspectives.
And that means dealing with, and accepting, that there are various ways to value pets. Without trying to interfere- no matter how wrong you think the other person is

Then you’ve got quite the sum of older uncommons

Personally I wouldn’t pay much for the deer, but I would note that they’ve got some demand to them and you’d be hard pressed to find a similar offer

Apologies if this seems a little rushed - I'm between lab work right now, so I'll need to check back later, but someone tracked me down offsite and told me to post here on my lunch break.

TLDR: A month ago I sent a trade for a TD joker. At the time I valued it at a Sunjewel.

Sunjewels were going about 2-3 nons, TD Jokers about the same.

I'm told this is no longer the case.

Can someone please point me in the right direction or have evidence one way or the other? The joker is a dreamie of mine and I'd love to trade for it, but I don't want to misguide my partner if this is now unfair to them.

that's extremely unfair to you. extremely.

at the risk of sounding like a broken record the joker is only worth around a september list and has historically fluctuated between just under a sorbet and 2 nons. Anything above that is definitely an outlier. the sunjewel, on the other hand, has historically gone from 3-7+ nons at the height of its popularity and is actually worth something in the lower end of that vague ballpark, in addition to being an overall more liked pet in my opinion.

given that a sunjewel is currently valued at 3-4 nons that is insanely unfair to you, especially with how up and down that joker boi's demand is. apparently the joker (including a td) is currently floating at about 1-1.5 nons right now so i'd recommend adding 1.5-2+ nons to their side. whether you value a td higher or not is up to you (and as such is whether you are willing to overpay even more than you already are for one) but a lot of people don't really care too much either way and it's really a matter of personal preference. it should not affect the joker's value in the slightest, let alone add a handful of nons to that value.

it's worth noting that there is not a single trade listed here I saw within the last couple of months where a joker went for a clear cut 2 nons, td or not.

there's not many recent trades for sunjewels but the most recent one was a 3.5-4+ trade.

depends on whether you care too much about the quantity, really. if they're just pets that have been sitting in your trading folders for a year then i'd say it'd a very solid offer, but quantity has its own value and it's not really something that there's universal rules for if that makes sense. objectively, if you use a 4:1 UC:R ratio and assume you're looking at an average rarity of common you're looking at something in the ballpark of 20+ mixed rares including the '09 the two '10s add up to.

you'd be hard pressed to find somebody actually willing to swap the deer for the quoted '09 I think, too, and I'd second that you're unlikely to find a similar offer. if you're personally interested in the deer and not too fussed about getting your quantity back I would probably take it. it'd definitely be easier to trade. if you're reluctant to swap that much low-quality quantity for a single pet that may or may not have more buying power, that's chill too.
