OakClan
Splashpaw shrugged in response to Bearpaw's question about their warrior names. "Not sure. I'm sure I'll like whatever it is, though. Besides, I think it's more fun when it's a surprise." Turning to Quiverpaw, she nodded in agreement. "Yeah, it'll take some getting used to for sure, but I'm sure we'll both adapt in time." Almost as soon as the gathering had started, it had ended, and it was time to rejoin their own clanmates and get back to camp. "It was nice meeting you both," she said with a purr, nodding at Darkpaw and Quiverpaw. "I hope I see you next gathering," she told Quiverpaw with a gentle smile. "And hopefully by then we'll both have our warrior names!" Giving the she-cat a friendly tail flick, she turned to Weaselstripe. "I'm coming, I'm coming." Even though she would miss sharing a den with and training alongside the other apprentices, she would be glad when the day came for her to finally be a warrior and be treated like a grown, respected member of the clan. She was only a few moons younger than Weaselstripe, after all, and didn't exactly like being lumped in with all the younger, rowdy apprentices.
Tigerblaze waved his tail to Swiftbadger, still a bit confused as to what the EagleClan tom's intentions were, before turning to his deputy. "I'm ready when you are." He saw Jackdawpaw out of the corner of his eye, a short distance from him and Blizzardclaw, and beckoned the apprentice closer with his tail.
EagleClan
"Yes, let's." Southstar nodded to his deputy. "EagleClan, move out!" He raised his tail as he moved through the crowd, signaling for any EagleClan cats to follow him before he stopped at the edge of the gathering area. Once he'd checked behind him to make sure all were accounted for, he began to lead the way out into the forest.
"Me and Swiftbadger?" Littleflower echoed, taken aback. She blinked in surprise at first, then started to laugh. "Oh, no, we're just friends." But the words hung heavily in her mind, and she felt there was more to their friendship than that. Surely there relationship was more complex than 'just friends,' right? "He's like, well...like a brother to me," she added. Yes, that must be it. She had never had a brother or a chance to get to know her sisters, but she was sure if she had, that was what they would feel like. "Don't worry, she said, smiling comfortingly at her clanmate. "I'm sure you'll find a mate one day, if that's what you're looking for. And until then, you have me and all the rest of your clanmates." She gave the she-cat a friendly lick on the ear before rising to her paws when she heard Southstar's call. "Come on, we should get going."
Darkpaw was surprised to feel almost a little...disappointed, when the gathering came to an end. He had never really liked to socialize very much at gatherings, but he'd wanted to get to know Jackdawpaw a little bit more. He seemed like his kind of cat. "You, too," he said, nodding to the apprentices as the split off to join their clanmates. With a sigh, he went off to go find his own, and spotted Goldenrose bidding goodbye to a couple of OakClan warriors. He joined her side silently.
