a howling, screaming wind, frost biting into the pads of his paws. he wakes with a start, opening his eyes, wildly, at first──then relaxes. he knows where he is. the shivering isle. the frosty white waves crash against the shore of pure white sand, and the pharaoh hound has to narrow his eyes against the biting gale. a few moments pass, and he turns his head to look at the treeline of the small forested area of the isle, the palm trees with their white bark. everything here is white, sharp, and clear. but, he isn’t cold. he’s warm.

“laelarys. we have long awaited your arrival.” six voices, all at once. some male, some female. a large hound, a mastiff with fur the color of ink, a stark contrast to the white all around, steps from the treeline onto the beach. it’s most distinctive feature──the six faces, a cerberus of sorts. the father is looking at him now. respectfully, the thinner, smaller pharaoh hound dips his head. ”father.” he murmurs low.

“you are of the royal bloodline, son of hazelrah the fifth, the first of your name.” the six approaches him how, stopping only a short, respectful distance away. laelarys does not disagree with what they are saying. “it is your duty to take up the throne as chief dog. we now pronounce you laelarys-rah, chief dog of luthark.”

• niko, candie, truskett, minerva, willow, and kalsang track the scent for hours, but are unable to find its source. no matter, it seems the trespasser is long gone.
• kalta, ulysses, summer, soot, stella, and granite manage to track and kill a raptor along their hunting patrol.
• garland, natiri, bandit, nova, stark, and titan manage to track and kill two song birds along their hunting patrol.
• aurora gathers ragwort leaves along their gathering patrol.
• congratulations, willow is now expecting pups! she will be due in two moons.
• bruno and russett successfully learn the skills of fighting while training with their mentors.
• alexander and ariadne successfully learn the skills of stalking, while cleopatra unfortunately struggles to pick it up. she should try again next moon...

indent”I knew your father.” Captain Bluebell spoke up as, along with the Chief Dog, Laelarys-rah, they had tracked down and killed a snow hare. The animal lay beside the pitbull’s paws, the two canines having sat down to rest before they would head back to camp. The Chief Dog pulled his gaze from observing the other various wildlife in the valley to the Captain. “You did?” Captain Bluebell nodded, solemn as she recalled the time, no matter how short, that she had known the first Chief Dog. “I did. And Captain Blackberry as well.” She confirmed. “Hazelrah was a good leader. Strong. Wise. I can see him in you.” Laelarys-rah‘s usually composed expression softened. “I didn’t know him long.” A little piece into the Chief Dog’s life nobody knew about until now. “But he was a good father.”

indentTheir conversation was cut off by the snarls and growls of another canine, and the two dogs stood, lips peeling back and the beginning of growls rumbling in their chests. The Wide Patrol, having been sent out at dawn, had clearly marked and protected their borders. Any animal that had stepped into their borders would have been made well aware that this is Luthark territory, and canines are no exception. Moments later, a large, strong Spanish Mastiff bounds into the valley, hard on the paws of another snow hare, but slows, halting beside the Chief Dog and Captain, letting it’s quarry get away. “Who are you?” Captain Bluebell growls, taking a threatening step towards the newcomer.

indent”My name is Bantal.” The Mastiff’s voice is low and gruff. “You are the dogs who have moved into my home, no?” Laelarys-rah swings his head over to fix Captain Bluebell with a firm gaze. “Stand down, Captain.” Reluctantly, the pitbull dips her head, but still keeps a wary eye on the Mastiff, who Laelarys-rah then turns to face. “We have marked our borders clearly, Bantal. This is the home of Luthark. Would you rather us chase you out, or would you join us?”

Territory


The Empire Camp
The camp of the empire is on an island. Without swimming, the only way on it is a little land bridge. The dogs of the empire started to build dens on it. The biggest den on the far end of the island is for the emperor and their family. A smaller den on the left front is for the Priest/s. A little farther away is the den for the Samurai with the best spot always for the shogun. Across from them is the den for the expecting or already mothers and their pups. In the middle of the camp is the den for the Squires. Near the entrance of the camp is a small den for the concubinages. If too many dogs are in the empire those dogs have to move out to make space and have to sleep outside. The servants do not have a den and always sleep in the open, most of the time in a little pit they dug themselves. If too many dogs are in the empire and the concubinages take their place those dogs have to move out of the camp and sleep on the training ground.

The Training Ground
The only way to get there is to swim. This is the first thing squires learn. This area doesn’t have many trees so it’s perfect to train the squires there. Can also become the temporary home for servants

The Hunting Ground
A large mostly open space. Perfect to hunt for the empire dogs.

The Storm Mountains
A big mountain ridge. A cold breeze always comes from there and it’s said to constantly snow there. No dog should go there the change of freezing to death is way too high, still, a large part of the Storm Mountains is claimed by the empire. If a storm is on the mountain, something big is about to happen, at least that is what most dogs say.

Cerberus Den
Cerberus is their god. To go into his den is strictly prohibited if dogs don’t belong to the immediate royal family or are a priest.

The Bearden
Here lives a giant bear with her cubs. After her litter is grown up, she will leaf for a short time, just to come back about to have her next cubs. Not experienced Samurai are prohibited to go near the den.

The Human Nest
Here is where the humans live. Most of them don’t come too deep into the territory. Strays, Lone-dogs or even pet-dogs sometimes come from there wanting to join the empire.



Reputation
The Empire of Storm is mostly described as harsh but fair. They have strict rules and live by them. To provoke them is a bad idea. Their not welcoming to strangers but wouldn’t hurt them either without a reason. They have a strong bond together and wouldn’t leave anyone behind just for their rank or relationship with someone.

They believe in their god Cerberus a giant wolfdog with three heads. They pray to him and ask him for help.

Rules/Law
The empire lives strictly by their rules and have punishments for breaking them

1. The Emperor is the highest rank and if they made a decision it is to obey (Breaking rule results in 2 Mooncycles of being a servant)
2. Higher ranks are to be respected and treated with gratefulness (breaking rule results in 3 days of eating as last)
3. Entering Cerberus den is off-limits for any rank lower than Royal Family (breaking rule results in becoming a servant for an uncertain amount of time)
4. Going near the Bearden without being an experienced Samurai or of higher rank is strictly forbidden (Breaking rule results in 5 mooncycles of being a servant)
5. No patrol is allowed to leave camp without deciding on a Head-dog to lead them and reporting it to a rank of Shogun or higher (Breaking rule results in 3 days of eating last for every dog on the patrol)
6. Every dog on patrol has to follow the orders of a Head-dog like it would be an order of a Shogun or higher rank (Breaking rule results in 3 mooncycles as a servant)
7. Attacking a dog of the empire no matter with rank is prohibited (Breaking rule results in 8 mooncycles as a servant)
8. Attacking any dog outside of the Empire without order is forbidden (Breaking rule results in 6 mooncycles as a servant)
9. Trying to court any member of the royal family or the priest without asking the emperor for their blessing first is not allowed (Breaking rule results in becoming a servant for an uncertain amount of time)
10. Trying to court a dog that is in a relationship is not permitted (Breaking rule will result in being a servant for the amount of time the mate decides. Maximum of 10 mooncycles)
11. Trying to eat before a higher rank is forbidden (Breaking rule results in 1 mooncycle of being a servant)
12. Trying to court the mate of the Emperor results in execution
13. Killing a dog of the empire will result in execution

Sylvester pranced along the shoreline, happily returning from marking the new borders. Ivy had finally decided on their boundaries, and had sent Sylvester on the important job of forming them for the first time. Claudio had mentioned catching a scent of intruders, even though they didn’t have distinct borders, and Ivy had tagged along with him to investigate further. As the sailor approached the camp, he admired the rocks that made up the walls. They were sturdy, and though they were covered in ocean spray, it blocked the winds. As long as it didn’t rain, the sand was kept warm and comfortable for the dogs to sleep in. He passed through the main sandy clearing that was the common area. Gazing to his left, he scanned Ivy’s den. It was a small cave formed by the intersection of two large rocks, and looked rather cozy. A slight breeze carried her scent to his nose, and he felt calmness envelop his heart. He and Ivy had grown close over the few moons, and they considered themselves very good friends. Sylvester lashed his tail. Claudio was with her now. The fluffy giant wasn’t a bad guy, Sylvester just didn’t trust him. He had a tendency to think he was superior just because of his size. If Sylvester wasn’t as small as he was, he would challenge Claudio then and there. He shook his head and pushed the thoughts from his mind. Claudio was his packmate before anything else, and Sylvester had been taught not to hold grudges. The collie continued forward and made his way to the Sailor’s den. It was large and he couldn’t wait to see it fill with more dogs. He found his sleeping place, the pit he had dug in the sand, and curled down in it. 01. LUTHARK

xxxx⟶ the kennel does not starve as they have been granted one more moon to gather resources.
• captain bluebell and laelarys manage to track and scavenge two bones along their hunting patrol.
xxxx↪ along their return to camp, the patrol encounters a potential owsla, a kangal.
• captain blackberry and bantal's patrol comes across a lone coyote, and luckily for them, it seems to be slightly injured and abandoned by their pack. the patrol is able to take-on the coyote and chase it from the territory, but bantal is left with a few wounds. they make their way back to camp safely, reporting to the others on their encountered.
xxxx↪ bantal requires one moon of rest to heal.
• davvi manages to gather stinging nettle along their herb-gathering patrol.


02. CHILDREN OF POSEIDON

• ivy's request has been granted; a nymph has arrived to join the children of poseidon.
• the marking of their borders seemed to secure the territory, ensuring less intruders or rogues potentially trespassing.
• ivy, sylvester, and claudio's patrol comes across nothing of importance, and thus they return to camp with nothing to report.

The Parliament of Chaos takes place after a nuclear war has devastated the planet. The human race has been wiped out completely, so nature and animals are reclaiming the land. Buckingham Palace may be crumbling and covered with greenery, but the Parliament has taken over the grounds and claimed it as their own. Their ranks are different. They consist of mainly corgis and corgi mixes, but the leader is always a purebred corgi descended from the queen’s corgis.
