"I know our medicine cat apprentice was sent a message for Daydream and Russetswirl from Robinwind, is Russetswirl not here this evening?"

Robinwind finished his fish, and then yawned. Today had been exhausting and he needed to sleep to get some energy if he was to go to the Moonpool tomorrow. He'd get the chance to talk to Ivypaw about the gathering in the morning. He stood up and stretched, then padded into the medicine cat den, curling up in his nest. He closed his eyes, hoping for a restful sleep.

B e e s t a r dipped her head in thanks to Robinwind as he left the den. Purring lightly still, the queen wrapped herself around her two kits, exhausted. She was glad to have the comfort of her own den, empty now, save her kits. She closer her eyes, hoping to doze off a bit before Blizzardclaw and the patrol returned from the Gathering. She hoped her deputy didn't have too much to report.

D a p p l e l e a f flattened her ears as the tom told her to stay put. I'm no kit, she thought, pouncing to her paws. She bounded after Weaselstripe, finding him face-to-face with a rogue. The calico arched her back, her fur rising and her muzzle twisting into a ferocious hiss. She didn't creep closer, assuming that Weaselstripe would chase her away. The she-cat turned tail, heading towards Blizzardclaw and Southstar, intent on informing them of the intruder.

J a c k d a w p a w was silent as his mentor padded off. The tom felt more at ease - Tigerblaze wouldn't be wrong about this. It was likely just some animal that the cat had been unfortunate to meet in the tunnels. And besides, watching the EagleClan cats pour into the clearing, he realized they just looked like...cats. There were no monstrous saber-toothed fangs, or lion-like claws, and their pelts were tidy and groomed. These cats could have been from his own Clan, if it weren't for the EagleClan scent clinging to them.
The tom sighed in relief. With that, he remembered another task he had for the night - reigning in Ivypaw and Bearpaw. Bearpaw looked as if she were spending time with her mentor, so Jackdawpaw chose to pad towards the medicine cat apprentice. It wasn't a chore to him at all; no, the jet-black cat enjoyed spending time with the pretty apprentice. "Hello, Ivypaw," he mewed, sitting down near her. As Splashpaw arrived, he smiled warmly at her. "Splashpaw, I was wondering where you'd gone."

S w i f t b a d g e r gave the clearing a quick glance. "I see her deputy," the tom told Littleflower. "I don't see Beestar at all!" Balancing on his haunches, he stretched himself up to get a better look. After a moment, he fell back down to his paws. "Southstar is talking to him...but I still don't see Beestar. I guess she's not coming. Wasn't she uh, kind of...round, last Gathering? Still, though...this is only her second Gathering as leader. It's surprising she's not here, even to just make a statement with her presence." He tipped his head, wondering if something had happened to the queen, something more than being with kits that would keep her in camp.

Quiverpaw asked Bearpaw, flicking her tail towards where the black tom, the calico, and the white apprentice had gathered.

Having only been deputy now for two moons he was fine with the day to day things, however this was a first. I mostly retired once Daydream seemed more than capible, my one eye has gotten bad and is nearly fully blind now. And I felt like I couldn't help anymore since I couldn't save Willowsong." He frowned as he talked about his sister that was now in Starclan. He never really had been open to why he choose to retire, he didn't really tell Southstar either which was odd as the two of them were friends.
