"How did Beestar lose a life just by giving birth to kits? I just dont understand. She was healthy and in good shape, so there was no way she should have lost a life. It doesnt make sense at all!"

The medicine cat frowned at Creamflower. "Sometimes we can't control everything." He said, not sure how to answer the queen. "Things aren't always fair and they don't always make sense. But what matters now is that Beestar is here and she has 2 strong kits." Truely, Robinwind wished that he did know the answer to Creamflower's question. Maybe there were signs, but Beestar had hidden them, trying to continue to look strong for the clan. Maybe he had been too distracted to notice them.

Creamflower shrugs and looks at Beestar before looking at her kits, uncertainty filling her gaze. "I wish I knew whatever happened." she said. "I never had problems when I gave birth to my kits moons ago. I guess Im lucky that everything went simple for me that day."

"I wish I knew exactly what happened too," Robinwind mewed softly. "I hope you never have problems with having kits, Creamflower." Especially after she had lost her kits to sickness. But then he shook his head, brushing off his sadness. This was no time to be sad! This should be happy! He looked over to Beestar and her kits and purred. Streamstar would be so proud of Beestar and the kits. Robinwind hoped that Streamstar could see his kits from StarClan. He had no doubt that the old leader was watching over them. "And kits in the Clan is always a good thing." He purred.

Creamflower smiles and nods, knowing she will do her best to keep having her future kits problem free. "Ill do my best Robinwind!" she said. She glances at Beestar's kits, happy to see two newborn toms born into the world.

Sunflare nodded in understanding. "Yes, you're right," he murmured. "I did already tell Riverstripe, but he seemed to know something was wrong anyway. I won't tell anyone else though." As he watched their leader nurse her newborn kits, he shifted a bit closer to Creamflower, wrapping his tail around her.

Riverstripe's gaze was warm yet clouded as he gazed upon the kits. "He is proud," he assured his leader. "I know he is." He wanted to comfort Beetail, to stretch his tail out and rest it on her shoulders, but he stayed put. She needs her space. "But...are you okay?" he couldn't help but ask at last, his voice little more than a whisper. He knew Beestar wouldn't have wanted to take the focus off of her kits to put it on herself. She was a strong she-cat, and he guessed she would keep her losing a life secret from the rest of the Clan. She probably wouldn't have even told me, he realized with a pang of sadness. If he hadn't been so sure something had happened and Sunflare hadn't confirmed his suspicions, he likely would have never known. But he couldn't just play along and pretend he didn't know anything.

Splashpaw nodded. "Yeah, he seems nice. His mate, Silversnow, is pretty nice too. I think they have a litter of kits--they'll probably be apprentices in a few moons." Turning to Lostnight, she tilted her head. "What about you, Lostnight?"

"Yes, I smell it too," Tigerblaze murmured thoughtfully, but he didn't say what he was thinking. "Don't start anything with the EagleClan apprentices," he said instead, fixing Jackdawpaw with a stern look. "And make sure Bearpaw doesn't either. You may only be a moon older than her, but you are already moons more mature than her--when you want to be. Don't let her drag you down." He cast a glance at said apprentice and her mentor. "Even Blizzardclaw seems to have trouble keeping her under control, it seems," he observed. "But perhaps she will be more willing to listen to someone her age. That's why I want you to keep an eye on her tonight."

"They've grown up fast," Nightwish remarked with a smile. "They'll be apprentices before long. You must be proud." She wondered if she would be assigned as one of the kits' mentors when the time came. She had only been made a warrior herself two moons ago, and had never had an apprentice of her own.

"Well, I don't have any positions open at the moment," Southstar meowed as he padded along. Narrowing his eyes, he flicked her flank with his tail before adding teasingly, "Except for maybe one."

Littleflower rolled her eyes right back at him. "I guess so. But you have to relax a little bit. I mean, Southstar's leader, and even he seems to make time for she-cats. Just look at him." She nodded at the leader conversing with Foxloud ahead; though she couldn't make out his words, there was a mischievous look on his face as he let his tail brush Foxcloud's flank.

Darkpaw set out after the patrol, keeping pace with Goldenrose. "Been a while since you came to a gathering, huh?"
