The current season is spring! The leaves are adorned with fresh dew and the sun beams gently onto the earth. Because the weather outside is so lovely, lots of cats are going out to enjoy it, and they might just need a new fellowship to settle down in. in the kingdom of ohu lies the legends of the elementalists. the elementalists were first formed by prince, and then king, ohu. the legends say that prince ohu was the first to find the kingdom - a chain of islands in what the others (humans) known as the pacific ocean and that with his tears, he grew the great tree. to defend the kingdom - and all of their kind - king ohu recruited others like him, and they became known as the elementalists. now, years later as those - including king ohu - from the time of legends have passed, the elementalists became myth. but little do they know...all the stories are true, and a new king now reigns over ohu, recruiting and training a new generation of elementalists like him.
TEMPERAMENT:
the elementalists are the guardians of ohu. they defend against evil, as they have since the very beginning of their kind, and they welcome newcomers warmly into their ranks. although they are guardians, trained to fight and protect, they prefer to resolve things peacefully rather than shed blood. they are exceptionally protective of their own, and each would defend ohu and those at the great tree with their last breath.
TERRITORY:
the kingdom of ohu is in the pacific ocean (or what they call the great sea) made up of a chain of islands. on the biggest island is the great tree, and in their legends it is said that it was grown by prince ohu’s tears. over a thousand years old, it has many hollows that serve as the homes of the elementalists, and other hollows used for things like parliament and the dining hollow. other non-residential hollows include:
great hollow - one of the main chambers and the location of the great grass harp
dining hollow - where the elementalists gather to eat meals
parliament hollow - meeting place of the parliament to discuss important issues
the island of ohu - the island on which the great tree is, with a beach and thick deciduous forest teeming with quarry
RELIGION:
the elementalists don’t have a specific religion, per say. they follow the guidance of the spirits and their ancestors - including king ohu - and therefore do not worship a particular deity or deities. the king, and on different occasions, their healer will go to the moon-stone to speak with the spirits.
RULES AND PRACTICES:
one of the practices of the elementalists of ohu is the use of chaws - a squadron within the great tree that specializes in teaching each elementalist a particular skill. there are chaws, and each chaw is overseen by a ryb, or teacher. the list of chaws is as follows:
weather interpretation (also called weather phenomena)
search and rescue
navigation
tracking
hunting and gathering
battle claw techniques
fire and ice weapons
the elementalists also keep the soft pelts of their prey in their hollows, whether for decoration to show what one has caught or use for their nests/sleeping places.

Territory
the territory is made up of little floating islands and clouds in the sky, some islands are just grass and others can have buildings or trees. Time works differently up in the sky and the sun is only out at night so when the moon is out it is day. (Sunfall and Moonrise). Some of the small islands fall apart or crumble at random, they are known as Falling Islands. Cats can go down to the world below but only if they have wings, if they do not they will probably die from the long fall downwards.

The Land:
The Farm is base camp for those who call the Crown their reigning power. The Farm is a rubbled old farm in one of the tiny towns of Ireland, where the town was abandoned during the Famine. The Farm itself has all for old cobblestone walls, a chimney and fireplace, and a large oak tree growing up through the middle of the home. There are some old shelves and a bed left inside. The entrance faces Galway Bay, a large bay with some intense winds and storms. The entrance to The Farm faces West.
To the east of The Farm is The Thorncrest. The Thorncrest is a large hill of smoothed black stones and covered with thornbushes and scrubbrush. At the very top, an ancient Celtic monument stands, four tall stones for the four directions and a circle carved into the stone beneath, weaving them together. This is Compass Crest, where the Farmfolk go to commune with the Four Suns and their Maprunners.
To the west of The Farm is The Burren. The Burren is ledges of the same black stones as The Thorncrest, flat with metre or more deep cracks in them. They butt up to a short grey sand beach and the ocean, where the waves come in huge and brutal.
To the north of The Farm is The Billows. The Billows is where three other, smaller, abandoned farms are. Each has different crops growing wildly in the old fields, and each has a name associated with it. White Farm is blanketed with unharvested grain and oats. Gold Farm is overrun with white and yellow carrots and thick brambles. Orange Farm is laden with overripe apple trees, sprawling roots, and intense fungi.
To the south of The Farm is The Village. The Village is a very small town where some humans still remain. There is a fisherman’s shoppe, a few item shoppes, a pub, and a small dock with boats.

The Community:
The hierarchy in The Farm is extremely strict.
The King or Queen takes the position of leader. They work to be the face of The Farm, and must be both emotionally and physically strong.
The mate to the King or Queen takes the other title to themself. This mate must have kits with the King or Queen. The firstborn will take the position of King or Queen next, the others will become Mages, Mystics, or Priests or Priestesses. Therefore, if the King or Queen is attracted to cats of the same sex, they are not allowed to take this title. Instead, a surrogate parent will take the title and position. This is obviously a flawed system and will likely cause problems.
There is always to be two active Priests Or Priestesses at a time, and up to two Apprentices. They regularly visit Compass Crest, take care of all medicinal tasks, and monitor the Store (fresh-kill pile) in case of disease or rot, which is rampant due to the dampness.
Mages and Mystics are the defenders and gatherers for The Farm. They hunt for prey, guard their home, and chase off threats.
Pages are to-be Mages and Mystics. They’re apprenticed at 8 Morn, and will practice: Fishing - Beachhunting - Hillhunting - Gathering - Magic - Combat
Nobles are the mothers and caretakers. There is always one Noble in the Hearth at all times, whether there are kits to be taken care of or not.
The Elder Council is the group of experienced former Mages and Mystics and Priests and Priestesses who guide and advise the King or Queen’s decisions.

The Religion:
The Farmfolk worship the Four Suns and their Oceanrunners. The Four Suns are the four directions. North is described as a pure white cat with black eyes. West is described as a pure blue-grey cat with yellow eyes. South is described as a pure red cat with green eyes. East is described as a pure chocolate cat with grey eyes. The Four Suns each correlate with a season each. North, Winter. West, Spring. South, Summer. East, Autumn.
The Oceanrunners are the spirits of dead cats. They live on the waves, occasionally can be seen by the living, and are sent by the Four Suns to deliver prophecies and news.

The Philosophy:
The Farm Crown believes in a dangerous and unforgiving world. If humans can be driven out, who’s to say they cannot be? A fool, that’s who. They are very shady and wary of others, and will always put their family before them, no matter allies or not. They are dependent on one another out of necessity, and any rulebreaking is responded to with utmost punishments.

The Appearance:
The Farm Crown will accept any cat willing to join if they prove themselves worthy. They are generally put off by those who show traits that might define them as distinctly powerful, as they could pose a threat should they prove to be maliciously intented.

Once upon a time, this order was considered something of greatness, spoken in high value and respect. But then war, disease, the folly of hubris and the constant chase of immortality brought the order to its final standing point before disbandment and disgrace. These are basically the ones who have the earth elemental, are sturdy built for hard work, and handling things that relate to the earth. They can manipulate solid materials like steel, glass, and can even handle gentle material such as textiles and gold.
