As Izzard and her pokemon reach the end of the forest, they catch a glimse of Veridian City. 20 minutes later, they have arrived. Izzard heads straight for the Pokecenter, and Nurse Joy gives her some info about pokemon and battling. After that, they head to the gourmet pokepuff shop. "What do you guys want?" Izzard asks. Spark points towards a red pokepuff topped with chili peppers, Ledyba seems to enjoy gazing at a vibrant green pokepuff topped with basil leaves, and Shroomish has chosen a honey themed pokepuff. Izzard pays for the treats, and they head over to the park to enjoy them. Shroomish, Ledyba, and Cyndaquil all ate their pokepuffs and started wrestling in the grass, while Izzard lies on her back to observe the clouds floating past. After a while, she calls to her pokemon. "Alright guys, we better head out. Bye Shroomish!" Izzard says, feeling a pang of sadness at leaving Shroomish behind. She feels a soft nudge, and looks down to see Shroomish headbutting her leg. "Shroom!" It says, and Izzard reaches into her bag. "How would you like to come with us?" She asks, and holds a pokeball out to Shroomish. Shroomish squeaks, and headbutts the ball. The ball clicks at once, and Izzard sighs. I didn't mess it up this time! She thought, and let Shroomish out again. They then headed towards the ocean, and decided to take a boat and boat around until the sun went down. Izzard rented a boat, and they headed out onto the ocean, Shroomish curled up at his trainers side.

Neptune's final Bubble finished off the opposing Venonat. But as Eva's first partner pokémon landed on his feet once more, about to gloat over his victory to Marigold, the little Froakie's body began to glow a blue color. “Froa?” Neptune croaked, confused, just as his limbs began to stretch out and his neck 'frubbles' extended in length.

"Hey, your pokémon... I think he's evolving!" the other trainer called. "Congratulations!" He returned his Venonat to its ball, and sent out his final battler, a Smoochum.

“No way,” Eva gasped, before running onto the battlefield. She scooped up her starter into a hug, shaking the now-lanky Frogadier back and forth in her excitement. “You evolved, Neptune!”

“Dier? Frog-frog!” Neptune chirped in reply, wrapping his webbed arms around the trainer's shoulders and smirking proudly down at Marigold. The Eevee stuck out her tongue, tail swishing back and forth, before scampering onto the battlefield herself. The opposing Smoochum bounced from side to side, excited to battle this new opponent (and perhaps relieved to not be battling the Frogadier).

"Vui..." Marigold cooed, the fox pokémon batting her lashes in what must be Baby-Doll Eyes. At the sounds, Eva shook herself, and hurried off of the battlefield to give her pokémon a command.

“Sorry about that,” Eva called to the other trainer, apologetically. He waved it off in understanding, and she smiled, thankful. “Marigold, try using Covet!”

Tepig brightens up a little, inspired by your advice! Tepig stands his ground, before firing a circle of embers around Luxray. Luxray has been caught into a something similar to the move fire spin! Luxray is trapped. The large pokemon shifts his paws around before sending bolts of lightning crashing down!

Tepig jumps and dodges in and out of the lightning, impressing Luxray yet again. Tepig's quite fast, before charging in to get a tackle headfirst on Luxray- the electric type pokemon stumbles back in surprise but stands his ground. Electric terrain seems to be wearing off... both pokemon need a bit of a rest before they continue battling, so they stand there, rather exhausted from all the running.

"The sun is setting - looks like were done training for the day."

aaaTepig nods, processing my advice, then quickly fires a circle of Embers around Luxray. The ground catches on fire around him, making it look sort of like a makeshift Fire Spin. Luxray looks around, realizing his bad positioning, then shifts his paws and roars. Lightning streaks through the air, crashing down towards Tepig, but the fire-type hops back, effectively dodging the attack.
aaaLuxray takes a step back before realizing the fire still around him, then Tepig charges towards him. The fire pig barrels into the larger electric-type headfirst and Luxray stumbles back in surprise, but the difference in size easily lets the larger pokemon stand his ground.
aaaTepig hops away from Luxray and the fire surrounding the electric-type begins to fade away. The larger pokemon doesn't make a move, instead standing there, panting tiredly. Seeing this, Tepig sits down, breathing heavily and no longer wary of Luxray.
aaaThe battle is more or less over and I step forwards, clapping once to gain their attention. "It's getting dark," I say to them as they turn their heads towards me, "-and both of you seem pretty tired. Therefore, I declare this battle officially over!"
aaaTepig nods, then stands up and pads towards me. He stands beside me and looks up at the sky. The sun is setting, painting the sky in a beautiful combination of red, orange, and gold. Luxray approaches us silently and stands behind Tepig. Together, we watch the sunset.

Spark watches the sunset with Tepig and Luxray! (Next scene will have them walking back to the pokemon center.)

I whisper something to Rocky, who starts to dart after the Tyrogue and sneakily trips it with his tail. I step up to the grunt. "What do you think your doing to that poor Ponyta?!" I say angerly, knowing full well that pokemon shouldn't be treated with such disgrace and cruelity.
