—The girl was happy to hear that the carbink was going to lead the two to Ignis. She missed her small cheery pokemon. "Raiden, it's alright, Carbink is a friend. It's helping us, isn't that right Carbink?" she reassured, the wild pokemon nodding. "bink-bink" it said, continuing to lead them in the dark. She hated to admit it, but it was quite scary, especially without Ignis. Raiden seemed to calm down, and Vanessa let him onto the ground. The electric-type caught up with the Carbink, now in a more friendly manner, it travelled alongside the wild pokemon. Vanessa hung back, glancing around the darkness as they walked, in hopes of seeing her beloved pokemon. She'd only gotten him a few days ago, and she'd already lost him! 'Oh dear..I'm such a bad trainer' her head told her, and she couldn't help but feel guilty. She hoped Carbink was leading them somewhere useful, because she couldn't bare the loss of her companion.

Izzard gently sets Cyndaquil down, and she scampers over to the ledyba. They wrestle for a little while, but as the sun starts to set, Izzard gets a little anxious. “ Spark, we have to find a place to camp out for the night! Say goodbye to your friend.” “Cynda-quil!” Spark says defiantly, refusing to leave her friend behind. The ledyba looks up at Izzard with its big eyes, and Izzard feels her heart beginning to soften.

The other trained huffed in disappointment, but still made sure to praise his own Nidorina before recalling it into its pokéball. His next choice in partner was a small, fuzzy Venonat. The little bug-poison type blinked up at Marigold, who was still on the field. The Eevee seemed to almost be glowing with pride! “Wow, another poison-type?” Eva muttered. “Okay, so definitely either Marigold or Neptune!”

Neptune croaked at the mention of his name, wanting a turn to fight. Marigold turned to face her teammate, and poked out her tongue playfully, not exactly willing to step down herself. “Okay, okay, knock it off,” said Eva, amused. “We’re in the middle of a battle, you guys. Neptune, you take this one. Marigold can have his last pokémon!”

“Vee, vee!” Marigold chirped, before scampering over to her trainer and nuzzling against Eva’s leg. She seemed pleased with the arrangement. Neptune himself hopped out onto the field.

“Froakie, ki,” the frog insisted, before puffing up his cheeks as they filled with bubbles.

“Alright, Neptune,” Eva said. “Use Bubble!”

Izzard blinks, then realizes something. "Oh! You want to come with us, don't you?" "Ledy!" The Ledyba exclaims, and attempts to crawl into your bag. "Ok then, Ledybug!" Izzard says, taking a pokeball out of her bag. "Go, Cyndaquil!" She shouts, and Cyndaquil rushes forward. "Use Tackle!" Izzard commands, and Spark runs headstrong into the Ledybug. The Ledybug prepares to attack, clearly enjoying the battle.
