Sinbad watched curiously. He was more worried when he saw Dubar running toward them and he was without Sonja. He cursed, looking down. I shouldn't have left. I should have stayed with her. He rubbed his eyes. Plan, plan. Come to me now. Too bad his subconscious wasn't answering.

Indigo looked back to see Sinbad at the side of the ship, glancing down as if he were considering throwing himself into the water. She jerked her head at him, and Liam nodded, walking over. The blacksmith laid one slablike hand on the man's shoulder and said, "We've all got our reasons to go back for Sonja. She would have been my sister, if Darius hadn't been killed. Kin stay together, and everyone in this crew is kin to one another. We won't let her hang."

Sinbad sighed and crossed his arms over his chest. Buried at sea sounds like a pretty good idea right now. He shook his head. "We better get moving then. Dawn will approach us soon. That isn't enough time."

"Of course," said Liam with a nod. He glanced up at the starry sky, noting the position of the moon. "We've perhaps two hours- enough time to figure out a plan." He turned to the two children on board and called to the red-haired girl, "Melody- that's your name, isn't it? Have you costumes enough to dress the crew for a hanging?" Melody grinned broadly- now [i]this[/] was her area of expertise.

Sinbad raised an eyebrow. "Uh-oh." He went to the bow of the ship and looked out. The tide would be coming at dawn. Didn't give them that much time to escape at sea. Someone would be left behind.

Liam shook his head, and said, "We'll find another way to get out on the tide- steal a ship, if we have to. None of the crew are going to die on this raid, and I'm sure of that."

Sinbad looked back. "We won't have to steal another ship. And I've already got the place that isn't too far from the gallows. Easy in, easy out." Sinbad shrugged. "Planning ahead is not anything I'm use to. We better start that planning. Sooner or later."

Liam shrugged, and steered Sinbad back to the crew. Melody and Indigo were deep in discussion about disguises, and ways to hide weapons where they could be easily drawn during the fight. "...Once heard of a young warrior who kept thin daggers hidden as the ribs of her corset," said the young redhead with a grim expression, and Indigo laughed. "That sounds... dangerous."

Sinbad raised an eyebrow but decided it was best not to question. He watched them and shook his head. Not the best life choices we are making, now are we? He decided to stay quiet.

Indigo stood, finally, and went before the crew. "First things first," she said to them. "We're going into battle today, so make sure all your weapons are primed and ready for action. Melody will be in charge of costuming as our actress in residence, so go to her after you've checked your weapons. We've got to look like respectable folk, going to a hanging for a picnic. Or whatever it is these people do at hangings. Second, I need a Second in case I'm killed. Volunteers?"
