The two cats followed the scent, but the outsider seemed to find them first. "Uh, we live here. This is Sunclan territory," Jaggedpaw answered quickly before Snakenose could snap at the outsider. The other she-cat seemed to be around the same age, maybe a few moons older than she was but still apprentice age. She couldn't help but feel the curiosity flow through her, and she wanted to know more about the outsider. Maybe she would join? Jaggedpaw thought and pushed the silly idea away. Considering both of her brothers had apprentices, the feline did hope that after her kits were apprenticed that she would get her own. Sweetkit and her sibling were older than her kits, so that was a no go. So Echolight would have to wait for some other she-cat to get a mate and have kits. Maybe she could convince Creamflower to have kits again, she was a young and strong she-cat. All she had to do was find a good tom for the younger she-cat. A small smile graced her lips, there were plenty of bachelors in the clan. She could probably find herself a new mate while she was at it.

Staring at the mostly white she-cat in front of him, Snakenose silently watched as the two young felines spoke. He wondered what the rogue was doing here, but decided that wasn't important. The male sat down face tightening from the frown into a blank stare, "And what are you doing here, Rogue?" You know other than hunting our prey? He added silently, as he raised a whiskered brow. She shut her mouth when the outsider seemed to give false emotion in her voice at the mention of Sunclan. She must really hate clan cats, Jaggedpaw thought and listened to the two of them talk instead, feeling out of place. Jaggedpaw was slightly alarmed when her mentor unsheathed his claws and tension rippled through the air between the three cats now. Yet the outsider seemed to remain calm and simply backed up. "Maybe she is just passing by," she told Snakenose, although she didn't know why she was defending the outsider.

Closing her eyes, the young queen laid her head onto her paws, intent on dozing for a bit while sunning herself. A loud purr rumbled up her throat as she laid there, silently remembering the cats that she had once shared the apprentice's den with. She'd only shared a den with Applebird and Fireocean for a single moon, then there was Shadowraid, Frozensun, Cedarthroat, Wrentalon, and Swanfur. Those she remembered, there were a few others that she dismissed for one reason or another. Probably because Whitewhisker felt threatened by their presence so the she-cat had stayed away from those cats. Though she recently realized that probably all that true, which she found a litter concerning.

A soft purr rumbled in her chest, a small half-smile making its way to her lips. "We can still do a lot of things until then. The apprentices might give us some tips too." As long as we don't sneak out of camp and get held our ceremony held back. She thought the young she-kit had moments where the thought seemed like a good idea. But then she'd asked one of the elders about their adventures as a kit and apprentice. Hearing of the dangers that kits and young apprentices faced when alone in the wild scared her away from the idea of sneaking out of camp.

She glanced over at the she-cat with a curious glint in her eye, she wasn't sure how to feel about the fact the younger clan cat was trying to defend her, the cat had nothing to gain from being kind to her. Her innocent act faltered as the older cat spoke and she let out an annoyed sigh "of course, I had to run into one of those clan cats" She muttered to herself as she stared at SnakeNose "That rabbit was caught outside of your territory so you had no right to it. Also if you really must know, I know a clan cat" She responded and glared at the older tom, she knew she didn't know how to fight and she didn't want to risk getting hurt over something so pathetic. ☞CEDARTHROAT had dragged himself out from beneath the brush that they called home, careful not to take half of his shallow nest lining with him. The handsome russet warrior shook out his pelt, watching begrudgingly as clumps of dust went scattering about. No matter how much he lined his nest, he always seemed to end up with something in his fur come morning. A soft sigh escaped his muzzle as he lowered his long body into a strong stretch, his sharp green eyes narrowing to contented slits as his spine crackled. The burly tom allowed his sharp claws to slide into the hardening earth beneath him, relishing in its cooling touch. One of the only bonuses to leaf-fall was the reprieve it brought from the sweltering sun. Quietly, he thanked Starclan for his slightly thicker pelt before turning his attention to the rest of his clanmates. A fairly quiet cat, Cedarthroat slid towards the outskirts of the camp, allowing his strong body to slither through the shadows. While he waited for the day to truly begin, the handsome tom set to work grooming his pelt. The first thing a cat notices about you is your appearance, and he prided himself on maintaining a healthy and gleaming coat. Keeping his movements controlled and calm, the strong warrior peered curiously over at the center of camp, watching as the two patrols departed. So that answered that question; no patrol for him this morning.

☞WRENTALON snorted, allowing her pale green eyes to roll about at the sheer drama of it all. Though fairly new to the clan, Duskpaw had already wormed his way into the warrior’s heart. Each new day brought with it a new experience with the young tom; a quirk she’d never noticed, a skill she didn’t know he had. The calico watched on, ever patient with the young apprentice, offering him a small smile of encouragement as the tom hesitantly began to groom his pelt. Though she knew that she could be a bit repetitive and picky with her requests, Wrentalon wanted her apprentice to embody the best version of himself and to feel pride and confidence in all aspects of who he was. ”see? much better already and now we’re collected enough to take on the day.” She purred lightly, wanting to positively reinforce the behavior. And there it was, that tentative yet eager smile sliding across Duskpaw’s maw, brightening his young face. ”battle practice it is.” the she-cat agreed astutely. ”do you have a preference as to what terrain? perhaps we could try a new area, say that sorry excuse for a forest?” she offered as she rose to her paws, always willing to listen to her apprentice’s input. Wrentalon gave a small flick of her thick tail, singling for the tom to follow her as she padded softly towards the entrance of camp and out onto the mountainside.

☞BEARPAW was never one to sleep in past sunrise, and today was no exception. So here he was, pushing past all of the apprentices curled up in the den, growling under his breath at the problems the tightness of the place posed for him and his broad body. Already annoyed for the day, the young tom gave no thought to those sleeping around him, slipping on tails and padding on paws. Finally, he made it to the front of the den, relief washing over him as he shoved into the daylight, happy to escape the musty confines of the murky apprentice's sleeping quarters. The dark gray tom stretched out in the camp, relishing in the amount of room there was to stretch freely. A quick once over of his pelt made sure that all of the wild tufts were subdued. He made his way towards the warrior's den, opting to wait just outside for his mentor as he wasn't willing to miss a moment of his crucial training, especially this close to his warrior ceremony. A proud glint flickered in his sharp gaze as he paced impatiently back and forth across the packed earth beneath his paws.

Creamflower smiles and watches Sootpaw follow her towards the tree with moss. She helps the young apprentice scrape the moss from the base of the tree and eventually, they get it all off. "Well done!" she said. "Lets see if we can find more bedding!"
