❝ lightning is quiet until it strikes... ❞

a storm is coming to lightningclan. the leader and medicine cat have fallen
in love, though it is forbidden. the six kits they give birth to will only bring evil;
they are cursed. with each kit, something terrible will come to the clan. it will
begin with the deputy becoming evil and taking one of leopardstar's lives. the
deputy will be exiled as a result, leopardstar sparing their life despite others
protesting. some of the members of the clan want to seek revenge, and they
form a group to hunt down the deputy and kill him. they end up succeeding,
but at what cost? the deputy will come to one of the kit's in their dreams,
recruiting them to the dark forest. he will try to recruit all of the six kits, but
only one will practice his evil ways. that kit will be an apprentice by the time
this happens, and they will try to take down the clan one by one by leading
them into traps. a sickness will sweep over the clan, and a prophecy will arrive,
forcing them to travel far and away to a new territory in order to survive.
after that, the dark forest will attack the camp, killing several
members of the clan. next, a rouge will join the clan, the clan not knowing
that they are evil. they were related to the deputy that was exiled and they
want to seek revenge. as soon as they prove their trust to the members of
lightningclan, their plan sets into action. they begin taking the lives of the
clan members one by one. eventually, they take leopardstar's last life.
they begin to convince the clan to not believe in starclan anymore. at this
point, starclan will not be able to keep in touch with the medicine cat because
of the curse of the kits, so the clan will easily be influenced. they begin to
listen to the rogue instead, and go as far as to appoint him as the next deputy.
lastly, once the evil kit reaches a warrior, they will finally turn against the clan
and form their own rogue group.

from there, who knows what will happen?

➞ roleplay in third person. i don't mind if you don't use proper capitalization, because i prefer lowercase myself, but proper grammar and punctuation is appreciated. as well as that, write at least two sentences per each character.

➞ you can have as many characters as you can handle. but please keep genders even. if you have only she-cats, i am going to require you to make a tom. also, you must play a clan cat for every outsider cat you play.

➞ no powerplaying or godmodding. that means no controlling other cats or pretending your character is perfect. do not kill or injure another character's cat without permission.

➞ fade to black when mating or kitting.

lightningclan lives in a forest mostly consisting of pine trees. there is a river, situated between a gorge, that they often use to fish from. downstream, a trail of rocks is placed across the river, which they use to cross. though one needs to be careful not to slip! they travel across the river and along land outside of their territory in order to reach the sparkling water cave, where they communicate with starclan. the cats lay next to the water and instantly fall asleep, their warrior ancestors soon reaching their dreams. in the distance of their territory, you can see a clear view of mountains. a twoleg bridge runs throughout their territory, though it is abandoned. a stream runs underneath that, which is a safer place to fish compared to the large river. there is another source of water within their territory, which is a waterfall. behind it is a system of caves that stretches underneath their entire territory. they have to be careful of them because of the predators such as foxes and badgers that reside in them. as well as that, if it rains, the tunnels will flood. apprentinces are not to go down there without a warrior accamponying them. although most of their hunting territory is forest, there is also a meadow. the meadow is a good spot for mentors and apprentices to train. at the edge of their territory opposite the river is twolegplace, which lightningclan tries to avoid as much as possbile due to the many dangers lurking there. occasionally, the medicine cats will visit there in order to find herbs that cannot be found elsewhere on lightningclans territory, such as catmint.

ｉｎｓｉｄｅ xx ｔｈｅ xx ｃａｍｐ─────
as for lightningclans camp, it is located deep within the pines and is difficult to find. it is situated in the densenst part of the territory, as to provide the most protection from predators possible. the entrance to camp is a tunnel surrounded by thickets. predators are unable to easily enter the camp due to the entrance fitting the size of cats as opposed to foxes or badgers. the entirety of the camp is surrounded by brambles and thistles, making it well-protected. as for the camp itself, it is very spacious. there is a small creek that runs throughout their camp, which is fun for the kits to play in. not only that, but it is an easy access to water. a fallen down tree stretches across the small creek, leading to the leaders den: a large cave with a waterfall flowing over part of the entrance. it is by far the largest den in the camp, since lightningclan pays a lot of respect to their leaders. connected to it is high rock, where the leader will give ceremonies, while the clan will sit on the camp clearing. the medicine cats den is an underground system and is underneath a cave of rocks. there is a small pool of water in the back of it, which sick cats are easily able to drink from. as well as that, some of the walls of the den are covered in moss, which the medicine cat uses to form new nests. it is very spacious, as generally, there are two medicine cat apprentices for lightningclan. during the day, light will shine through the den, but even still, they have learned how to work in the dark. the warriors den is a system of three caves, leaving plenty of room for the cats to sleep. it is similar to the medicine cat den, except when you enter the cave of rocks, there are three caves inside. linchen and moss hang over the entrance of the warriors den. the apprentinces den is yet another cave, and although it is large, it is still not as large as the warriors den, since there tend to be more warriors than apprentinces. the nursery is the third largest den in camp, following the leaders den and the warriors den. it is well-protected since kits are unable to defend themselves and is surrounded by thorn bushes and brambles. it is another cave, similar to the apprentince den but more protected. the elders den is a hollowed-out tree with moss and linchen hanging over the front for privacy and warmth. lastly, there is the prisoners den, in the case that they have to take another cat as prisoner. nowadays, lightningclan does not use it often, as they are the only clan that roams the forest. but long ago, when there was another clan, they would often use it during times of war. the prisoners den is uncomfortable and is just two colliding rocks that form a small cave. there is an outlook rock, serving the purpose for guards to look over the camp and protect their clan members. the fresh-kill pile is located in the center of camp so cats can easily look over it.

indentＬong ago, there were two clans that roamed the forest: stormclan and lightningclan. before that, their ancestors had lived in the mountains in a union, as compared to two separate groups. that was until a dreadful storm passed that would last for moons on end. the cats of the mountains were forced to leave their home, for it was being destroyed by the storm. along the journey down the mountain, it was every cat for themself. despite this, one cat stepped up to lead the cats on this dreadful journey, and he was known as storm. at that time, they only had one-worded names, as it was just the beginning. storm only led the cats because he wanted respect so that when they reached their new home, he could rule them all; his intentions were not pure. a cat by the name of lightning saw past this and tried to warn the rest of the cats, but no one bothered to listen. everyone was so convinced that storm was destined to rule them all. the journey down the mountain lasted many moons, and they had to stop every night in order to rest. the storm raged on, lightning striking the dark array of clouds above. storm knew that lightning was onto him, and attempted to take lightnings life during his sleep. another cat witnessed this and saved lightning from the evil storm. storm vanished from the rest of the journey, but he swore to pay revenge. when the cats finally made it down the mountain─some alive, some dead─they began to form a more united group than before. with few cats left, they had to make sure to protect each other from danger. it was no longer every cat for themself, but rather the formation of a newly established clan. lightning became the leader, and his ancestors came to him in a dream, telling him that the storm was not finished yet and that the worst of it was yet to come. they awarded him with nine lives, knowing that it would barely be enough to keep him alive. one night many moons later, storm attacked with a group of rogues, who he called stormclan, and they specifically targeted lightning. he asked lightning if he had any last words and lightning told him that he couldnt kill him, for the stars were on his side. storm just chuckled, taking one of his many lives. unknown to storms knowledge, lightning was not quite dead, but he appeared to be. storm and his group of rogues emerged into the camp, announcing how he had killed lightning and was now their leader. all of the cats looked terrified, especially as lightning appeared from behind storm, saying "now is that so?" with that, he killed storm, avenging all the harm he had caused to his clan. the rogues fled in fear of having no leader, and lightning told the clan about the cats with stars in their fur that had appeared to him in dreams. overtime, another cat told the clan the same and became the medicine cat.
indentnow, how did stormclan come into all of this? well, the rogues decided to form their own group, as they had utmost respect for their leader storm, who died at the claws of lightning. these two clans lived next to each other for many moons in tension, until lightningstar came over to stormclan and announced that they only sought peace. they vowed for no more wars, and to meet every moon at the gathering place as a token of peace. eventually, though, stormclan just decided to join with lightningclan, since it was a very harsh winter and many of both clans were dying.

soon enough, lightningclan will have to travel back to the mountains, because another storm is coming.
and this time it is worse.

2. the deputy will come to the kits in their dreams (once they reach apprentice age), recruiting them to the dark forest. he will only succeed with one. that kit will turn evil.
3. a sickness comes to the clan. a prophecy will come at that point, and they will have to travel far away to survive.
4. once they reach their new camp, the dark forest will attack.
5. a rogue joins the clan. they were related to the deputy and want to seek revenge. they kill leopardstar as well as other clan members. they convince them not to believe in starclan.
6. the last thing that will happen is that the evil kit will turn against the clan and form their own rogue group (they will be a warrior at this point).
