The male watched the other, as he got up in Alayus' face and began to speak. He never took his eyes off the other male, his expression calm. Of course he figured the other male would talk down to him, they always do. But it didn't much bother Alayus anymore, he's done it so many times before. "Well it's nice to meet you Teru." Alayus replied, glad to finally put a name to this wolf's face. "I doubt that." Alayus began "You know, I as well as any other loner out there, wouldn't feel the need to invade pack territory if your alpha's and leaders weren't so greedy. I mean since we're both being honest here." The male looked on at the other male, sizing him up. He was old, but that didn't mean he should be underestimated. That would probably make him angry, but Alayus was already in deep might as well fuel the fire so to speak. "I am outnumbered in the grand scheme of things...but right now I'm not." He knew Teru could call and assemble some other wolves immediately if he chose.

Another sigh escaped his maw, having found no sleep. The peaceful vibes inside his den seemed to dissipate as Tyhar opened his eyes revealing his hellish gaze. The male got to his paws, his joints cracking with the movement. He was not in as good of shape as he had been. Tyhar walked slowly to the entrance, and stepping out into the light. Like a grey storm cloud moving over a valley. His den was made into a hill so he could look over the rest of the den area. His eyes found nothing. Not a wolf in sight, except for Shertan. Already annoyance bubbling he called out her name, "Shertan!" Why were there no wolves? He hoped they were all out doing their duties and not sleeping in their dens.

Shertan
Bishop<>7.5<>
Relationship: none atm
tagged: Tyhar

The sound of her name being called was enough for the bishop to jolt herself awake. She recognized the voice of her king, causing her to immediately shift herself over in order to stand herself up. No need to enrage her king any more than she assumed she already had. She briefly glanced around out of curiosity to see if any of the other bishops were around. The area was rather empty, to her confusion. She knew Ascella had already left to go on patrol, yet everyone else was nowhere to be found. She dipped her head out of respect as she replied, "Yes, my king?"

ƬΣЯU

rank: bishop

Teru lifted his head high and let out a ghoulish laugh, intrigued by such a response from a loner. “You’re brave with your tongue, I can give you that.” He looked down at him and began to step forward, proceeding to begin walking a circle around Alayus, head lowering again as he did so, coming up from behind him and around his other side until they were face-to-face again. “Greed runs rampant in the forest. Greed is a part of all of us, no?” Teru tilted his head, peering up at the trees. He pointed his nose to a bird perched on a branch rather high up. “Even a small little animal like that. You don’t think they’re greedy too? They’ll snatch a worm right from its home and feed it to its children. Bigger birds will grab littler ones right from the air, plucking their babies right from their nests to feed themselves and their own. I didn’t realize you weren’t aware of the food chain.” He tsked, shaking his head and looking at Alayus once more. “We all work to live for ourselves. Some for the ones they surround themselves with. Irregardless, I don’t make the rules. I just enforce them.” Teru kept his facade stern. “I work for the King. I protect him and regulate his laws he laid out for this land that’s claimed. Claimed like any other wolf-pack territory. I do it to keep outsiders away, and those who belong to our pack are kept within, safe, and fed. Greedy or not, it’s your decision as to whether or not you want to be the lone wolf to challenge laws of the land.” Teru bared his fangs, he wasn’t playing around. “You’re not outnumbered now, you’re right. I’m not very fast and agile, but I’m big. I may not know your strengths, and sure, you may put up a decent fight if that’s what you decide to do... but that’s the risk you chose by coming here again. How could I let a loner go and expect to trust they will leave and never return? After repeated incidents? You’re digging your own grave, pest.” Teru didn’t care whether or not this would end up in a fight, in bringing the loner back to the dens to bring him to see the king, or any other outcome. A newcomer would be let off easy, sure. Teru was grumpy, irritable, honestly quite intolerant too; Teru was mean to most, but he held a capsule of pity deep in his heart. Sure, a loner unbeknownst to himself and the rest of the pack could be let go all thanks to this sliver of pity he holds, but Alayus kept testing the authority and regulation of the pack. This was different.

The calm, level─headed figure of a senior wolf could be seen emerging from the depths of his den, with ears naturally resting atop his skull and eyes that of a golden color added to his soft features. There was no evident emotion that one would be able to distinguish. He had been brought back to the real world by a commanding voice, none other than King Tyhar's, as he shouts at another one of the bishops. Judas hadn't been sleeping, he just hadn't left his den yet─ and he realized that might have been a mistake. But Judas was more confident in his own ability to stand his ground more than he feared Tyhar, so he calmly exited the den to find out why Tyhar was already in such a mood. Though, he supposed Tyhar was always in a mood─ if not always on the verge.

Tyhar was, perhaps, one of the only wolves that dared to test the bishop's patience. Luckily, he was far more patient than the average person, and most of Tyhar's comments and scornful looks sent his way were meer gnats to Judas. A minor pest, worth swatting away with your tail rather than snapping at. The senior wolf pads forward towards the king, and drops his skull towards the ground in respect. Respect that he probably didn't deserve, but received nonetheless. Though he hadn't been called, Judas had nothing better to do, and to show himself to the king rather than go elsewhere as though nothing had happened would probably benefit him more.

"Fair morning, my king, Shertan," he greets, giving a nod of his maw towards Tyhar, and then to Shertan─ a fellow bishop.
